We had a great experience here. Do some homework first and you'll enjoy the experience. Knowing the legend beforehand we and having seen pics we just wanted a photo but over the festival weekend it had hundreds of people in line. We asked before and were told it was mxn $50 to get on the balcony. We deduced immediately this would be mxn $50 each since we would each go to separate balconies. The guy telling the legend and taking pictures with your phone/camera does it for tips and he does it well and takes many great pictures. The fun for us was in the crowd, both watching them as well as having them cheer as we kissed and cheering as they kiss. It was really a great festive environment. If crowded or on the weekends they open the balcony at noon. Just show up a few minutes early and you shouldn't have to wait. It's likely not crowded during the week or when large events aren't going on.

Fun little street. If you go on the weekend you better go early in the morning or late at night if you don't won't to stand in line. Better bring your own partner to kiss because no one was really eager to lend out their girlfriend here :(

It was great, the only thing I kind of didn't like was the line you have to make to take the picture because it was supper sunny and no shade at all. It's 60 pesos ($3dollars) to go up to the balcony and you can take the Pic with your cell or they will take it for you with their camera, print it and put it on a little frame for 160 pesos (@$8 dollars)

Little wait, free from third step, 50 pesos for each from balcony, but someone will take photo. For the die hard romantic there is a guy outside the door on the males side selling rose for like 25 pesos. Buy her a rose.

The legend of “El Callejón del Beso” in Guanajuato says that if a couple visits this place and kisses right on the third step of this alley, they will have happiness for seven long years. But whoever doesn't and passes through the place will have seven years of very, very bad luck. It's an old legend. It's a crowded spot, so be ready to wait.

Callejón del Beso holds a special place in my heart. It was the spot where my wife and I felt the most in love with each other. Whenever we visit, we're transported back in time to that magical moment when we shared a kiss on the balcony. It's a memory that will stay with us forever. lol

While this place has a romantic and yet tragic story of 2 lovers, I didn't care for the long line to take a kissing photo with your beloved and the charge of $ that comes along with it. There are plenty of mining tunnels and romantic backdrops for photo opportunties.

It used to be free to stand in the balcony but now you either have to pay to take your picture or, buy some stuff inside their store. Times change... Is very commercialized now :(

Adorable 💋The Alley of the Kiss, Guanajuato (El Callejon del Beso) is a narrow alley in the city of Guanajuato, which was the centrepiece of a tragic romantic tale that was based on true events. This story of failed young love is a time-honoured Mexican favourite.

A lot of history I loved it very clean town. The Museum of Las momias is small. I did a tour for $300 pesos.

Very boring. Cute enough little street, but it’s essentially a line up to have someone take a picture of you underneath the famous balconies. Easy pass.

The history alone makes it worth the trek and the area is definitely hopping and lively with tons of shopping, entertainment and restaurants. That being said, it's a pretty small alley that can get crowded with everyone waiting in line to take a picture or go up on the balconies

It's a great place just how it is in the pictures people take. It's a small place but with a great story behind. When you show up to the street, there's a line to take a pic. Now, there would be a lot of people trying to sell you things related to the place, from a printed picture to a lock. Now remember, none of these are required to be bought to take a picture there. it's up to you. The only payments that should be done are the camera guy and the owner of the houses that you go up to take the picture at the valconies, and if you wanted framed you pay for the frame that's it. The rest is up to you. Good experience. I recommend taking the picture on the valcony. Great memory with you and your loved one.

Definitely a tourist attraction. If you don't have anyone taking pics of you, there's usually someone standing there to take pics of you with your phone, and you just give them a courtesy tip. However, if you go up to the balcony, it's $50 mxn per person (so $100 mxn per couple). We got sucked into doing it and unfortunately we didn't want to pay the $100 mxn for them to take a pic of us up there... So the guy snapping our pics downstairs, quality may be eh. So just let it be know what you're getting into/expect. We were also lucky we got there right before the crowd bc the line was long when we left.

Interesting place. Nothing out of the ordinary. Except you can say you were there. More romantic for the women i would think

Been there 2 times at night(weekend) and in the morning(weekday). I’d prefer in the morning as there was no one there to avoid chaos. The famous corner in Guanajuato.

It’s a cute thing to do. The guys offering to take your picture aren’t going to steal your phone. They do want some pesos for it, but it gives you a cool photo.

Interesting place, was expecting something different..ppl take advantage of the history behind it ..there are a few that charge to take pictures...they do not allow you to take them on your own..highly visited place

This place is very nice and colorful. Can't go wrong. Just "Do Not" drive to this location. We made the mistake and almost got stuck on the narrow roads. Awesome experience but we are definitely walking in next time. They say if you can make it through those roads you can drive anywhere in the world.

It's one of them nice little streets in Guanajuato but the callejoneadas with their beautiful music, stories, being interactive make it a special charming place! If you're going with your lover, it's a must do imho :)

15 Years good luck if you kiss. They charge 50 pesos to go up there and they charge to have your pic taken and printed out too. Cute funny story. Loved the enchantment placed on me when my Husband and i kissed on that balcony ❤️
