It's amazing how many things you can find here, clothes, sandals, hats, kitchen accessories, piñatas, candies, etc.

Certainly worth visiting, even if only to look around. The building itself, the vendors and the food are all lots of fun. Be sure to try the tacos here, after looking around thoroughly to see where the most people are congregating. We weren’t disappointed!

Housed in a classical iron structure, industrial looking structure with a mixture of different elements and styles originally constructed to be a train station. It’s chaotic and colorful collection of market stalls selling wide varieties of items. A great place for visitors to haggle for gifts and souvenirs.

It's a bit funny wen you arrive the people come out and starts calling you to go eat with them. It's a good place to eat very affordable and it's real local Mexican food.

We came here to look around. It’s a huge two level market with all sorts of vendors selling from food and fruits (first level) to clothing, all types of souvenirs (second level) and more. I can’t believe this place was meant to be built as a train station. It is a must see!

Carnitas Sam is a must go in this market, come here for the most delicious and succulent carnitas. The chef offered us a piece to try and it was so good we had to eat there!

The building where the market is located is constructed of beautiful early 1900s architecture. It is believed that it was supposed to be a train station. The market is comprised of two levels. In the lower level you can find all kinds of different items from artisan pieces, fruits and vegetables, candy, to most importantly freshly made food. The top level does not have any food but it does have souvenirs, clothes, hats, jewelry and many many more items. It’s a great location to find beautiful Mexican pieces to take back home as souvenirs and reminders of your trip to the beautiful town of Guanajuato. I purchase shot glasses, shirts, hats, candy, jewelry, and other trinkets to bring back to the United States.

Small-ish market in Guanajuato. Worth visiting for a few mins to get a sense of a local market - it's very very clean for a market that sells fresh vegetables and meat! We didn't try the food, but there are several stalls with countertop seating that were popular with locals for lunch. Honestly, the pork + chicharron looked DELISH.
