Had an appointment at 10. Showed up at 930 and they threw me into an exam room. At 11AM they tell me if I don't have enough cash, they can't see me... seriously? It took you guys an hour and a half to tell me that? And how do you guys fall an hour behind when you open at 9? Untimely and unaccomodating. Visit at your own peril.

I would not recommend anyone goes to this physician because of her very poor and unprofessional mannerism, she is not pleasant, very confrontational, and vindictive.

Dr. Barnes is very unprofessional and has poor bedside manners. She had a very condescending tone throughout my visit. It was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a doctor. At my visit, she said she would send over the documents that needed to schedule some tests that she recommended l. She stated that she would send them after our visit and I would be to call the hospital following day to schedule. When I called the hospital the next morning, there was nothing in the system from her office. When I called her office to inform her, she was very rude and dismissive. I informed her that she longer needed to send the documents because I wanted to change physicians. This is when she began threatening to report me to my insurance company for making “false claims” of my symptoms and lying about my family history, essentially putting my coverage in jeopardy. She continued to say that the process to change physician would be difficult, that her office would be the only place I would receive the “best” care, and that she only was trying to help a “struggling single mother out”. After I repeated that I will be changing doctors and ended the call, she proceeded to call me back and ask if I still wanted her to send the documents. I would not recommend her to anyone I know.

After finding Dr. Barnes on my Aetna Dr. portal, I was excited to finally have a PCP of my very own because its been A WHILE. I needed a PCP to evaluate me and check my health for a medical clearance for a surgery I am scheduled for next week. Dr. Barnes was INCREDIBLY patient with me as I was very stressed in trying to get labs done multiple times (because I wanted to check them twice) and sending me in for an EKG. She took it upon herself to ensure my safety and also have me take a Chest X-Ray which I appreciated because it is an added measure of safety some surgeons require (mine didn't although I was happy to be extra safe). When my original EKG came back irregular, Dr. Barnes put me in touch with an incredible Cardiologist in the area (Dr. De Gregorio- I also, highly recommend him) and they managed to take me THE SAME DAY to ensure my medial clearance was returned in a timely manner to my Plastic Surgery Center. She was very thorough and ensured I was totally healthy and safe before going into this elective surgery. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I now know my heart is totally healthy and I am in "great" shape having gotten through level 4 on a stress test. I highly recommend Dr. Barnes. One thing I can say constructively is she needs to hire a new assistant (she never followed up with me- Dr. Barnes helped me with everything from coordinating appointments to faxing my lab orders and medical clearance!!! That is unheard of for a Doctor so I really applaud her for keeping her business running smoothly). Other than the assistant, I had a great experience! 5 Stars!

Called and asked a question regarding their location. Their phone registered as East Orange. After trying to target her precise location, she became abrasive, and condescending. Imagine this was my first impression...smh.
