We were in a bind after not eating at the rehearsal dinner and are thrilled that we found the Quiet Man! Our Irish waitress Sheila was a PEACH and the food was great. Also, live music on a Thursday night was a huge plus. I recommend the Shepard’s pie, chicken pot pie, and the fish and chips. Slàinte!

Drinks, dinner and decor! The atmosphere is always wonderful and the liveliness is invigorating. As for food and drinks, always a hit. The specials as well as the staples are great. On the New Year’s Eve, we decided on a Christmas martini, bourbon ale and French onion soup to start. The soup!!! Wow, perfect crunch to the cheese, onions were fresh and bread on point. Dinner, blackened chicken chop chop salad Chicken Murphy The taste….phenomenal The portion….perfect The flavors….wonderful. Always a great time here. Happy new year

Excellent Shepard's Pie- the best I've ever had! While my coworkers thought that their Grilled Pastrami Sandwich and Dublin Style Fish n Chips were just okay, their mouthwatering Shepard's Pie with beef, veggies, and a glorious whipped mashed potato crown was super good! Live free, pie hard! NOTES/TIPS: **Street parking **Excellent service **Warm family business feels

Nice atmosphere inside this neighborhood Irish pub. The shepherds pie was good. Decent beer, whiskey, and cocktail selection. Friendly staff and great service.

Came here on a Sunday night and we were able to get booth seats without a problem. It’s a very charming intimate pub. We loved the live music. We felt transported back in time. The service team was friendly and attentive. I liked how they give out complimentary warm Irish bread with butter. Highly recommend getting their chicken pot pie. It was delicious and comforting on a cold winters day.

Fantastic food and service. I definitely recommend getting there early as you may have to wait. The staff is very honest about the wait for food and a table and everything is organized. Heads up YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Portions are sizeable and well made.

Wonderfully warm and inviting place to dine. A very cozy Irish restaurant with good food, service, and prices. Great place for date night and to have fun with friends. They have live music. The place is small so it would be difficult to find a table and parking. We had chicken wings, cauliflower pizza, salad , potato pancakes, large fries and chicken wrap. Everything was really delicious.

Nobody tell my mom but this was the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had. The atmosphere here was great, from the staff to the musician playing. Service was quick and our server, I believe her name was Sheila, was very kind and efficient! I truly wish we lived closer because we would definitely be regulars here if we could.

Wow, the food is so tasty I wanted to lick the plate. I had the salmon and husband had the red snapper. Then there was the dessert with Irish Coffee. We left smiling! Worth the trip!

We loved the food here! Lots of choices and friendly options for everyone in the family. The entertainment was a nice touch featuring an acoustic guitar. The sound was just right for a smaller establishment. We felt comfortable and not cramped considering a pub atmosphere. Parking was tricky if you're not able to walk a block on busy nights. Large portions at a reasonable cost!

Been wanting to try this place for a while and we finally did. It was the perfect spot of warmth on a freezing Sunday late afternoon. Even though it was early (around 4) we got one of the last tables. The ambiance is perfect. There are so many tempting choices on the menu and the food at neighboring tables looked great. We were very happy with our choices but will be back soon to try other dishes. Next time we will try to sit in the room with the music!

Food was great. The issue we had was that we simply felt rushed. One of the workers approached our table and insinuated that she wanted us to leave due to us just paying our bill. We were not by any means pitching a tent. We just finished our dinner. We ended up leaving immediately due to not feeling welcomed. We’re sure there are reasoning to back this but we just felt that a request such as this was entirely inappropriate.

A local restaurant in the area which is very busy. It looks like it’s run by family but it looked like the bar was always full with locals. They did also have band singing and it was really crowded. Nice door decor . The service is really good and fast and they are very attentive and polite. Drinks: Raspberry Pineapple Martini( good), Irish cofffee( Very nice) , expresso martini (good) , kingeston beer ( good) , Mediterranean mule ( Not good) , Toasted almond margarita( good) Food: Fries: Really fresh and good. Potato pancakes: Good and flavorful Chicken wings: Really crunchy and nicely tossed in the sauce. Chicken wrap: Really good and chicken was soft Caesar salad: Very nice as the dressing didn’t even make it to cheesy , It was really good. Cauliflower Pizza: Really good and was customized per requirement. Dessert: Guineese Cake- It was ok ! But overall very good service, definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful music on a Tuesday night. Had Sheppard's pie and Pork chop Milanese. Absolutely delicious! Forgot to take photos of main dishes- dug right in because hungry. Great bread , also onion soup. Desert photos speak for themselves. Pre covid - we were regulars, health issues with family members changed our routine, but definitely will be returning frequently again. Food great as ever.

It's impossible to be disappointed with the service or menu items entertainment was excellent as usual! I recently updated my review on another restaurant in Flanders and found that they were disappointed with my disappointed review. So I decided to update my review of the Quiet Man in Dover. I realize that I have been coming here since the mid 80's and I have never had a bad meal, never been dissatisfied with the service and always been treated and cared for like I was family. Nothing has changed in all these 37 years everything is excellent. The quiet man sets the bar for all other restaurants and wannabe Irish Pubs in the area. Today's special and Guinness cake are prime examples of the quality of their entrees. 5 🌟 plus

I really like Irish pubs, and this place has a great vibe. You walk in and it's kind of dark and set down, like a pub should be. Great atmosphere, you get comfortable right away. Obviously great beer options as an Irish pub, great food options also. I had shepherd's pie (what's more Irish than that) and it was great. As evening approached, they had a guy in front playing guitar. Good beer, good service, good food. Highly recommend, I'll be back when I'm in the area

My first visit n it was for a Saturday lunch. Seated at a booth in the bar area where the atmosphere was friendly n talkative. Wait staff attentive n did not rush our lunch. The Ruben n fish n chips were very good. Lean corned beef, tasty sandwich n freshly fried fish with large steak fries. Tasty n healthy quantity.. A very good selection of beer to include Guinness n my favorite Harp Lager. Will return there soon.

My wife and I chose Quiet Man Pub for a well deserved date night without the kids and could not have had a better meal! The food was excellent and we enjoyed an intimate conversation in a social setting. The live music and friendly bar crowd created a fun ambience without being overbearing. Strongly recommend!

Coming here feels like visiting family. I have been coming for 20 years and the quality of food, drinks, and service is unbeatable. Never had a meal I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Just the best.

These people have been around for a while and totally make sense as the staff knows good food and good service. Tuesday is still crab cake night and it’s delicious. Had the clam chowder and it’s obviously made from scratch based on the ingredients like thick chopping of celery. It’s thin, no thick or heavy broth. I ran out of crackers and used the bread, don’t do that. Mixed specialty drinks are small portions for the high price. Will return to try other items on the menu. Find time when not so busy because it’s difficult to find parking and a table.

I love, love, love the Quiet Man! If you want exceptional food, outstanding service and a warm, interesting ambiance….the Quiet Man is the place to go. They excel at upholding the tradition of allowing you to complete your appetizer before your salad and main meal arrive. The food is beyond compare, the chef has been there for over 40 years and delivers outstanding food every time. I highly recommend the Quiet Man as an exceptional place to go for a family meal or to impress your out-of-town guests. My most favorite restaurant to eat at in Dover, NJ! The food is exceptional, delicious, served piping hot and beautiful to look at right before you dig in...their presentation is artistic and colorfully (my own word) exciting! I feel joyful eating here. The waitstaff is attentive, wonderfully welcoming and treat you like family. Why would you not eat here?

A popular place always full of people both times in our visits. They know how to deal with potatoes because I am an vegetarian. Love the scallop potatoes! Head over toes for salted broccoli. Could have rated it as the world's best broccoli! The lady who helped us the night was so attentive yet gave us the space at the same time. Thank you for the night!

crab cake night is tuesdays apparently and did not disappoint. properly named, the velvety shrimp bisque was a bit thinner than i am used to for a bisque but very flavorful and not shrimp cooked to a buttery perfection.

Everything an Irish pub should be! History, charisma, standard pub fare, and the best Irish coffee I've had since Dublin.

An Irish pub with great beers and excellent food! Loved the atmosphere inside, burger was just superb (mine came medium rare just as ordered, juicy and tasty!) with Cheddar on top which added more flavor. Service was great and the beer just nailed it.

Our friend recommended this place. I must say he has good taste. We had their Chicken Pot Pie and fish and chips. I think they were great! Our belly approved.
