I been coming to this place for a few years but for some reason never gave a review. Well, here it goes - in New Jersey this is the best and most authentic dim sum place. The variety is great, everything is fresh and service is friendly (they always go out of their way to help you). I am so glad we can enjoy it again.

Long overdue review for Qin Dynasty! This is one the closest dimsum spots from home and we missed it sorely when Covid hit. Now that indoor dining and dimsum carts are back, we are happy diners! We so far have always ordered dimsum every time we dine here. The Pork siu mai always makes it to the list and the sesame balls too. The bok choy is a nice vegetable addition aside from all the meats and adds color to the table. The dimsum is always cooked perfectly. There is so much flavor and is always hot and fresh. We love that the soup dumpling holds both meat and broth so well and is very satisfying to bite into. Im sure the other dishes are well made but so far we are satisfied with our dimsum needs here and tend to not venture so far from our usual order lol maybe next time we will.

Authentic dim sum in Northern NJ. Great food. On par with NYC dim sum. Very busy on weekends. The dining room is open for in person dining. Got take out. Service is fast. Can do online order which was easy. Food is ready before estimated time. Food is flavorful and tasty. Ample selections! Would recommend this place! Will need to try out in person dining once the covid numbers go down.

Great Dim Sum restaurant! I was very excited to learn from a coworker about 12 years ago, there was authentic Cantonese in NJ and I didn’t have always go into NYC Chinatown. At that time it was only half an hour from home, but now it’s only 12 mins away. The food is consistently great, very authentic and the staff is friendly. As with any dim sum restaurant the weekends can have a long wait but not if you go early. The good thing is that they offer dim sum every day so during the week, waiting isn’t a concern. But if you love the whole experience of the crowds with the bustling carts going by, then nothing beats the weekend and worth the wait. Dinners are great as well and those fresh shrimp, lobsters and fish, can’t be beat.

Great place in North Jersey for dim sum. We were seated right away on a Saturday ~11:45am and immediately served carts upon carts of food. The ladies are a little aggressive, always asking if you want more food, but will go away once you tell them a couple times you don't want something. Food is excellent here, LOTS of variety and very tasty. My favorites of the day were the fried oyster dish, crystal shrimp dumplings, and the steamed corn cake. Highly recommend this place for quick, delicious dim sum when you can't get out to the city.

Updated - 10/28/23 My family has been to Qin Dynasty, located off of 46 East in Parsippany, many times over the years. This is really authentic, using incredibly fresh ingredients, expertly prepared to bring out the unique flavors and textures. Our visit two months ago was just as fantastic as the first. This establishment was packed tonight with Asian families enjoying long, leisurely meals. They have an extensive menu in English and Chinese, whose plates of food tickle both your mind, eye, and palate. Knowing autumn is the season in which crabs are delicious, my mom was craving and decided to order them. We also ordered chicken fried rice, sliced beef chow fun, seafood stir-fried with mixed vegetables, deep-fried eggplants with salt and pepper, sautéed beef with orange sauce and beef lo mein family style to share. The large lazy susan in the center made serving very easy. They specialize in seafood, but everything we've tried has always been fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. The staff speaks adequate English. We continue to recommend this place. ————— If you're searching for authentic Cantonese cuisine, look no further than this restaurant. Situated off of Route 46 East in Parsippany, Qin Dynasty is very popular among locals and the Chinese community, where we’ve been many times over the years. It does pay to go with someone who knows the cuisine. Dim sum is the star of this establishment over the weekend and lunch, which makes it a busy restaurant. Reservations were easily made via Google for dinner tonight. Upon entering, the restaurant is quite large, with the main room having many tables and a smaller room on the side with just 6–8 booths. My partner, my family and I were greeted and seated immediately. With white tablecloths on the table and Chinese prints on the wall, it was typically uncluttered and simple. Their menu was very extensive in Chinese and English but specialized in seafood. We decided on Sliced Beef Chow Fun (dry style), Sweet and Sour Chicken, Deep Fried Crispy Chicken, Seafood Stir-Fried with Mixed Vegetables, and Steamed Giant Prawn in a black sauce. The food had so much flavor, and it was always hot and fresh. The staff was very hardworking, so you’ll get the meals immediately. The price is pretty standard, and it is overall one of the better places in Jersey. Worth the drive, which we continue to recommend.

Excellent food here, not just "for jersey" but including Chinatown. The place has a patina that says we've been here long enough and the food speaks for itself, we don't need fancy decor Dim sum is excellent! Will be back

we enjoyed the dim sum. did feel a little bit rushed by the servers but it was super busy that day. The restaurant needs a refresh. the booths are falling apart. Don't expect hospitality or a great service experience... expect mediocre at best

A FOODIE’S FIND: OUTSTANDING DIM SUM, full dim sum served on weekends🤩🤩🤩. I rank this amongst the best Dim Sum restaurants in the country👏👏👏. Dim Sum prices are very affordable, Go at opening time as tables get filled up quickly. The restaurant has a great ambience for family / group dining. Service is very efficient and very good. In addition to dim sum, they have great seafood listing on weekdays, RECOMMENDED is the Chef Special. Fantastic variety of dim sum: from dumplings to rolls to buns to tarts to braised meats to stews to sautéed vegetables to soups. 🤩🤩🤩. Savor the textures and delicate flavors. IT’S HEAVENLY.

The cuisine varies from good to great visit to visit. I wish it were more consistent. The dim sum service is generally very good. Bring a crowd to share lots of various dishes. Bring a crowd to share ala cart lunch and dinner platings. The Cantonese standards are generally upheld.

I went to this restaurant quite often several years ago when I was living in NJ. The food was okay then, not exceptional but not bad. I was disappointed a couple times that I was served broccoli that was cold. This was a long time ago. This review is for a recent Sunday dim sum visit. The place was very busy. We had to wait for a table. Service was very good considering how busy the servers are. However, the dim sum was disappointing even compared to the DC/MD/VA region. Overall, it was still a decent experience.

It only deserves a 4-star review because the food overall was over-seasoned, I was not able to taste the original flavor from the food itself. Okay quality for food if you are looking for a Chinese dim sum.

Authentic dim sum. Many many choices and Flavor is even better than the best ones in Chinatown. What stands out is its service staff. Carts comes by frequently, cart ladies were patient and willing to explain the food. Waiters comes by frequently to check tea and swap plates. This level of service is rare in this style of restaurant. I would definitely go back again and again.

We were on a trip and stopped here on our way on a Friday morning and arrived a little after 11 am and found the restaurant closed. We then came back on a Monday at noon on our way back home. There were a few tables and we were seated right away. After we placed the order for Dim Sum, the restaurant started to get busy with many other customers. We waited for about 20 minutes and only ONE dim sum came. After another 15 minutes of waiting, I asked the waiter to check on our order and he said the kitchen was very busy and that he already told them to rush. Meanwhile, we saw all these other tables being served with food. These people arrived after us and were getting dim sum right and left. We were with our toddler who was hungry and we were getting upset that none of the waiters came by. We saw them carrying dishes and asking around if they ordered "this" while completely ignoring our table, with one of the dish that we had ordered. We were seated towards the back where the fish tanks were so they just walked right by us. I had to grab another waiter and ask him again. Then he brought TWO more dishes. Then the said he didn't know when the rest would come out and that two of the 8 things we ordered were not available. This is already almost an hour later that we were told and then they finally brought the remaining three dishes. This was the worst dim sum experience we ever had. They were so disorganized and they didn't prioritize the order of arrival/orders and not once came by to check our table. If it weren't for my toddler who was hungry, we would have walked out of there. I would have given them a 0 star if possible.

Food was good. The carts come so frequently. Flagging down the main person for something can be difficult. And watch which dishes you select. We got a fried shrimp dish, and it was $13. Didn't expect that price. But i will probably be back at some point.

Good food. Classic Dim Sum spread. Peking Duck was available, but did not appear to be what I think is Peking Duck, and was pricy. They had almost every type of Dim Sum, but the Peking Duck we ordered did not look like or taste like Peking Duck. We enjoyed the soup buns, beef noodle dumplings, shrimp noodle dumplings, Chinese Konkun (mustard greens), egg plant dumplings, classic shrimp dumplings, shumai, and crispy vegetable dumplings.

Met friends on a Saturday morning for DimSum. Excellent selection of DimSum offerings and desserts on carts. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I’m told they have a great seafood and lobster menu in the afternoons and evenings.

For regular dimsum dishes, its great. However, the main course (seafood Cantonese style chow mein) was too salty to eat and that greatly disappointed our experience at this restaurant.

Dim sum here is just as good as in Chinatown in NYC. Service is responsive. Love that they pack a variety on every dim sum cart so you actually get everything you want without having to wait forever for the right carts to go by. Dinner here is excellent as well. Great traditional Cantonese cuisine without the hype.

Decent dim sum variety. Service is quick. Most push cart dim sum staff is eager to sell while couple of them barely went to 5 tables then hastily went back to the kitchen. Although food tasted fine, the temperature was inconsistent and disappointing. We had 4 dim sum that ranged from cold stuffed bell peppers to warm shrimp “har kau”, decently hot shrimp rice rolls to nice steamy lotus wrapped rice. The garlic crispy chicken ordered from kitchen only lukewarm so we wound up boxing it to go. The place is very busy with all tables filled and many take out patrons. Guessing for people that got their food served hot it’s a great place to get authentic Chinese food.

Foods are awesome. My wife and I really like the dim sum at this store. Super delicious. However, the servers are too passionate. Keeping asking do I need this dish is a little bit annoying.

Wanted dim sum for lunch and was highly recommended. It’s not what I remember as a child from China town. It’s ok if you don’t want to far. People are nice but they sell you right off a cold cart when you walk in. Then she went to reheat it in the kitchen when I said it was cold. Best thing I had was sesame red bean ball. Had to try but I’ll probably travel further next time.

I've been here a few times. And it was the worst today that it's ever been. I ordered soup dumplings and they were stuck together and couldn't be pulled apart without being ripped. What is the point of the soup dumplings at that point... disappointing.
