Excellent juicy burger. Good char, smash burger, toasted bun, well seasoned, Haus sauce and amazing crispy onion rings on the side. I'll be back soon to try some other items. Tried my buddy's sweet potato fries, were good too, just needed more salt. Staff made great recommendations.

I am a big supporter of local businesses and was encouraged to see a new burger spot that was not part of a chain. With that said, I had 2 issues with my order but rather than share them on an initial post, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and just email them direct so they can make any adjustments that feel are needed. The Burger was fresh and really tasted good. The French fries were super fresh as well and were full of flavor. They are better than most Burger Chains and I only see them getting better. I will be back for another experience. Best of Luck.

Fries were good but drenched in oil ordered off Uber eats, i didn’t know the burgers were like this. Expectations were high but shot down after I took a bite. Don’t believe everything you see online

Great smash burger style burgers. Tasted fresh and well made. Fries were thick cut with their house sauce. Overall would go back even though they only sell Pepsi products.

Forget Chick Fil A, this place is legit. I’ve never been so surprised by fried chicken, this is next level. Not fast food but worth the wait.

Delicious burger. Try it for yourself but I find it hard to do better for the price. If I were more local it would be a weekly destination at the least.

Came in for a burger last night and was blown away! Burgers and Buffalo chicken sandwich were really good. If you’re a Seton Hall/ Hackensack student at IHS, you have to come here! The fries there are DELICIOUS! Probably some of the best fries I’ve had. We got cheese fries and the cheese that comes with it is really good. This place is definitely worth a visit next time you’re in Clifton!

First time here and got their buffalo crispy chicken. It was delicious, crispy, and generous portion. Staff were cool and service was fast. The store design was well thought of. Definitely will try their other menu item next time.

My husband picked up lunch from here on one Monday afternoon. We had the Big Haus Burger (double patty, served with caramelized onions, American cheese, two strips of bacon and Haus sauce on an artisan brioche bun), Chopped Cheese (chopped beef patties, served with peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, and American cheese), and Onion Rings. I must say that the food held up pretty well during a half an hour drive home. The burger was good but a bit pricey for what it was. It reminded me of a Shake Shack burger but just more expensive. The chopped cheese was good. I appreciate that they have this on the menu because chopped cheese is kind of hard to find. The onion rings were probably my favorite part. They were still super crispy after the transit time. I wouldn’t mind coming back and eating the food fresh off the grill. I’d probably try the cheesesteak or the crispy chicken sammie.

Delivered burger, crispy chicken sandwich, fries and onion rings for Sunday dinner. Burger had no flavor. Special instruction, aioli on the side because of the distance I knew I needs to reheat. Sandwich came with aioli and a pinch of lettuce. Oil in fryer need to be changed. Fries and onion rings tasted like bad grease.

I gave a 3 star rating because of the service and state of the resturant. We went in Thursday night about 6pm ish. It wasn't busy. There was a couple waiting on an order. We had never been. We walked to the counter and we were trying to look at the menu. The guy was obviously annoyed that he had to stand there while we looked it over. We placed our order 3 burgers 1 with fries 1 with cheese fries 1 with onion rings. We went to find a table while we waited on our food. I had to wipe it all down before we could even sit. The place was very dirty. Rug looked as it had not been vacuumed in a while. Stains on the walls where people dropped sauce. Tables full of crumbs. My husband said we are here. Maybe it's a good hole in the wall type place. Food came out. Order was correct. Food was pretty good. Only complaint was the cheese sauce which was oddly grainy. If I was solely giving stars on food it would have been a solid 5. But because of how dirty the place was I went with a 3.

I got the patty melt with bacon and onion rings. The melt was good and what I was expecting except they definitely charged me for the bacon and didn’t put any - it peeves me when this happens. The haus sauce is very good. The onion rings were burnt and I couldn’t taste anything but the burnt. This place is OK. Also the guy behind the counter looked miserable and the food kinda reflects that.

I ordered cheese fries and the cheese was on the side which I’m happy about because the cheese sauce was not good at all. The cheesesteak was dry and definitely not worth the price, it doesn’t even look like there was cheese on it. The chicken sandwich was soggy, flat and flavorless and looked nothing like the ones I seen pictured. Never again! I feel like these 5 star reviews were paid for because there is No WAY!

Been here around 20 times and the burgers are consistently awesome. The burger is the perfect size and done just right. I believe their fries are the best fries anywhere. The sauce they put on the burgers is great as well. Fantastic place! Always a go to when I’m in the area.

I hated to write this review. I really wanted to like this place, but was sadly disappointed. I was craving a burger and was in the area. At first call to check if it was busy, the person on the other end seemed rude. But I decided to check it out anyway, as the ratings were good. I'm glad I did. The place is small, but somehow inviting. The white and black color palate of the walls were nice. Simple and impactful with picnic bench styled seating. A customer suggested their double hausburger. But, I kept it basic. Ordered a single patty, the hausburger, a side of fries, and a drink ($14). I drove home for a good 45 mins, so I'm not sure if that affected the burger itself. But at first bite, it was nothing special. Not outstandingly juicy or flavorful. What I disliked the most was the burned buns. Overly toasted, so it added a very bitter taste. The fries were so greasy and lacked crunch. Just too soggy. (But again my drive was a bit long). Probably old frying grease too. Can't put my finger on it. I'd rate here a 3.6. I think there's potential . Surely everyone isn't wrong. I'll certainly dine in next time. Staff were friendly and even other customers were friendly. Again, the place felt inviting, which is why I'd return to give it another try.

Got a double burger with cheese and it is absolutely outstanding I’m going slow so I can have it for a while. I went here when it first opened and it was good but I think now they really got into their groove because it’s so much better. Would def recommend

Listen. THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF BEST BURGER IN AREA RIGHT NOW! That big Haus is delicious!!!!!! (I do wish I had a tomato on there but I couldn't even remember what a vegetable was after first bite) Onion rings SLAPPED..Fries SLAPPED...They got these side sauces that are perfection!! The light green sauce was really good! we even tried the shakes and were thoroughly delighted..by the way food was so good I am writing this review on the way home. Me and my husband will def be back!!!!!

Burgerstrasse, located in the Market Street business district, is one very nice place to grab a burger, and not only a burger, but a few nice touches and twists on burgers. The burgers are all of a generous size and done well. The variations are unique, and even the traditional takes are top notch. The also have a very good cheese steak, and chicken cheese steaks too. The toppings are super too. If I have any qualms about this place, it is the music played in the restaurant is totally inconducive for either concentration or digestion. So when I go there, it is with an order to go.

Had my eye on this spot for a while and finally got the opportunity to check it out and was glad I did! Great local spot with an owner you can tell has a passion for burgers. Loved the art on the wall about the history of a burger - worth the read! Food itself was fire... I got the Bighaus and sweet potatoe fries. The burger was really good, 100% outdoes smash burger. The fattiness was just right, oozed grease when you bit into it, but in the right way. Even the bun itself was good, perfectly pair for the heft of the burger. I don't like sweet potatoe fries normally, but another guest encouraged me to give them a try and I was glad I did... super crispy and just the right amount of sweet. I know for sure I will have to go back and try to crispy chicken sandwich after having that burger so definitely something I'm looking forward too! Price wise it's a really good value, they certainly don't gouge you here. Parking is plentiful and there is options for kids too. Overall I give BURGERSTRASSE a 4.6 out of 5, an NJ burger must visit!

Came here because a burger joint closer to me was closed. Let me say, the burgers were great you can tell they care about their product. what I thought was more important was the owners charisma and enthusiasm to interact with his customers. We came in and he was immediately smiling but not in a fictitious way. He was very genuine. Would return 10/10

Forget every Burger Spot you think is the Greatest, this Place will put them to SHAME! and they make great Philly Cheese steaks and Amazing Chicken Sandwiches this is definitely a HEALTHIER version of Fast Food for a better price and you won't be disappointed with the friendly Staff and clean environment 👌

Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich last week, soooo juicy and full of flavor. Ordered a cheese steak today and by far, BEST CHEESE STEAK I have ever had!!! The fries are really good too! Must try you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered for the first time on Uber Eats and am glad I did. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was to die for the sauce was perfect and the chicken was juicy. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries and they were good. I am looking forward to trying out more of the menu!

Unfortunately I have no photos because I demolish my food everytime I come here. BETTER than shake shack or smashburger. Quality ingredients, never greasy and the sweet potato fries are on point. I was sitting and waiting for my order today and the gentleman behind the counter (I think he was the owner) reached over and gave me a little bag of sweet potato fries to try with a nice spicy honey sauce. It was great. Very professional and friendly. I try not to come too often because I don't want to get tired of the food but let's be real.... you can't get tired of these burgers. 10 out of 10 from me everytime!

Flavorful burger, made to order and came out piping hot. Onion rings also crunchy. Good prices too.
