Wow! What an experience. One of the challenges of being vegan is finding authentic offerings from other countries. Strangely, a lot of the original offerings aren't even vegan. It's been a few years since I've been in Korea, but I feel like I would have been hard pressed to find the dishes that I enjoyed at saVeg Cafe as a vegan offering even in Seoul. Highly recommended.

Cute little cafe with distinct Korean veg options and friendly staff. Food was delicious with good mix of veggies, plant based protein & sauces. We ordered Japchee noodles, Bulgogi wrap. Really enjoyed the healthy food and beautiful vibe :)

I've been watching Rose for awhile so I wanted to check out the Cafe. Had the no eggs Benedict with a side of dumplings and sweet green smoothie. The dumplings were my favorite but everything was good too. It is inside a fitness center

For the price of a high end brunch, we received food and coffee that was worthy of throwing in the garbage. The "no eggs Benny" was served on raw English muffins that hadn't been toasted, with the worst tofu I've ever tasted and raw green tomatoes. The "air fried potatoes" were frozen and reheated in the microwave, totally soggy and disgusting. The coffee was undrinkable as the oat milk had been burnt. This business obviously has no one with any idea about how to make food or coffee as they couldn't even get the basics right. It's not hip or cool, it's just terrible and saVeg on the taste buds. An insult to vegans everywhere.

Ordered the Bulgogi Burrito, Vegan Dumplings, and Japchae. The vegan dumplings were tasty, cooked thoroughly and great for the price. The Bulgogi Burrito was a little bit pricey, but still large in size and had a good combination of flavours. Could use more sauce but was still tasty. The japchae definitely could have used some sauce as well, since it lacked in flavour. Essentially just tasted like glass noodles with nothing else. It also was a small portion for the price you pay, so could have benefited from more food too.

Very nice place. Very quiet and cozy atmosphere. The food is great. Comfort food I may say. As a pescetarian, I feel like this is a place where I can eat without worrying about anything. I love it!

We ordered scrambled tofu, tofu rice bowl, banana bread, and dumplings. Everything was absolutely exceptional. The ambience was amazing. There was a glass table with books underneath to read while eating. Jinny and Mia served us well.

Great service, super friendly and the prep time was very quick, food was ready in 10 min for pickup. Both the “Tuna” Poke bowl and the Japchae were delicious! Would definitely come back to try more items of the menu

Great little family owned place! I landed in Calgary for a work trip and was worried I wouldn’t find any vegan/vegetarian food nearby, but thankfully saVeg was around the corner from my hotel. I had a Spicy Chik’un Bowl, with potatoes and a Mochachino and everything was delicious! Owners were so welcoming too. I’ll definitely be back during my visit, there are so many more things I want to try 😉

Loved this cute little cafe! Highly recommend the No Eggs Benedict with side of hash browns! This cafe also has amazing vegan-inspired Korean food and recommend the Bulgogi Burrito, Korean Lentil Pancakes & Japchae.

This place is SO underrated. It has the most amazing and healthy food, I mean the flavors are out of this world. I am regular client and order from them at least once or twice a week. The staff is super friendly and they are really fast. Everything you order is done within 15 min. LOVE IT.

Yum! I’ve been a longtime fan of Rose’s blog and was so excited to visit. Awesome food and customer service. I wish I was in Calgary longer so I could try more items. I had the bulgogi burrito. It was flavourful and very filling. Portion size was great! 10/10 will return.

We ate here for breakfast. It was good overall. I loved the dumplings. The Korean pancake looked good too. I definitely recommend adding one or both on as a side. I do recommend coming here but I have a feeling the lunch/dinner is better. The people working were all super nice and pleasant. The cafe is cozy and comfortable. The Eggs Benedict was good but I think it needed some seasoning or a kick. Also the hollandaise wasn't hot so the whole dish felt cold. The breakfast burrito was average but didn't have any spice really. I would love to see some more Korean influence on the breakfast because I bet it would be so delicious. I've been a subscriber of Cheap Lazy Vegan for years and expected a little more of Rose's personality and spice in there. (Disclaimer: I am a chef so I'm harder on food than the average person.)

So good! I’ve ordered from saVeg twice now and both times were absolutely delicious. The Katsu Curry Udon is a must try - super flavourful and filling. Officially one of my favourite vegan spots in the city!

Genuinely disappointing. For the price, the portion sizes are incredibly small. There was mold in the water tank and ended up in a friend's drink. The flavor of the food is underwhelming and I could genuinely cook better food at home for a fraction of the price and I'm not much of a cook.

Small but comfy cafe, reasonable proportioned dishes. I love the no eggs Benny and scrambled tofu here. Highly recommend if you’re searching for a full 100% plant based vegan menu.

Vanilla Matcha smoothie is bomb, and so is their japchae and dumplings! Lentil pancakes were probably my favourite I absolutely love the taste and texture.

We've ordered take out from here twice in a span of 4 weeks. Food tastes great, portions are good, and prices are reasonable. Oh and it is a family ran small business (support your local businesses!) Will definitely continue to order here when we feel like having vegetarian meals. Highly recommended.

I was here in early-August 2022 and had the tofu rice bowl. I liked that it came with brown rice. The taste was average and not bad - it does remind me of homecooked food, but I thought it could use some sauce or curry. I walked by the place and almost missed it as it's in another business. I think it's in the same building as a gym - The Academy Gym.

I’m extremely disappointed at the quantity I got for the price I paid! Terrible tasting food, and “for fresh vegan food they shouldn’t microwave it in front of you”

  • 5/5 Nova 2 years ago on Google
The tofu eggs Benedict is not exactly like a real eggs Benedict but the flavor is definitely still there and it's filling! But the real winner is the Bulgogi wrap. I mean, WOW, it's so insanely delicious. I would love to visit this place a third time if I visit Calgary again.

We had one day in Calgary before our flight. We checked two vegan places this one and other that I don't want to name. This place saVeg way 👍 way better. Quality, price is top notch👌 Next time I'm in Calgary, I'm eating here.🍃

Tantalizingly delicious food! I'm not vegan personally, but I would come back here without hesitation and as the flavours are absolutely incredible! Not to mention the very cute vibe and lovely staff. Wow!
