It's a good gallery, you may say one of the pioneers in contemporary art in Calgary. You can always enjoy seeing the arts there. There is no admission.

Went with friends and family. The entire building is a modern work of art. The esker gallery is a beautiful gallery that encourages the diversity and unique contemporary art style.

The Esker Foundation is worth visiting. Free in these days to go and enjoy the art. Some clips captured from nature give cool feelings and peace of mind. It is on the fourth floor, space available for parking. Thanks, Esker Foundation, for such a display!

To put it simply, Esker is a MUST go to gallery in Calgary. Their exhibitions are always so beautiful aesthetically and the content is so rich. Although usually featuring more than one artist, it's all so cohesive and it makes sense. The space is quite large and it is such a great place for photo ops if you're looking for some, or of course a place to cure your cravings for great art. The staff are always so kind and helpful as well. I just went there this weekend and I promise this exhibition) or any really, are worth checking out if you're in Inglewood :)

The Esker Foundation is always incredible! I attended the opening for their winter exhibit 2023 the other night. Generous treats were served, prepared by Lina's and a lovely selection of wines, available. Visiting with lovely people and experiencing beautiful art, made for a great experience. Walking distance from intimate pubs and music made for an excellent evening. Arriving early helps resolve parking issues on opening nights! Esker programs are invigorating and highlight the hospitality and knowledge of Esker staff as well as invigorate interesting conversation. The recent interview with Margault Williamson was wonderful. Thank you, Esker.

Walked up all the stairs, enjoying the wall art at each floor. Entered the gallery at the top floor. Many small multimedia theatres, with fascinating videos and sounds. Beautiful wall art. An open space, comfortable sit-down library with great downtown views towards the west. All free on the Sunday I went! If you are in Inglewood and you enjoy art, Esker Foundation is a must-see!

I was impressed with the layout of the gallery! You could see the progression of the artist skill set. He really enjoyed painting still life from obscure angles. This artist is considered a Realism artist!

A free gallery that rotates the exhibition pieces quarterly. A really lovely space with friendly staff and interesting art. Highly recommend if you're looking for something to do on the weekend if you find yourself in the East Village, Inglewood area

Hidden gem, free, fascinating, sometimes immersive exhibits. Great for a really casual, low-pressure activity. Never crowded. Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They never rush you or bother you. Just follow any rules they have for the exhibits. You'll find: *really beautiful natural light, great for photos *a little curated library lounge area when you walk in *a table gift shop at the entrance with books and merch. Let staff know if you want to purchase something. * a guestbook Be prepared to spend 30 mins there, but you could definitely take more time. There are very clean public washrooms available outside the gallery on the same floor. There is a nice cafe & grocery store on the main floor (Lina's).

One of my favourite galleries in Calgary. I've never been to them but I've heard they have family days as well. And free!

This place is the best, a really friendly welcoming art gallery that encourages everyone (even with kids) to come explore - for free too! The building is beautiful and the exhibits are consistently changing. I really enjoyed the Neil Campbell: wheatfield one.

If you haven't seen RELATIONS: Diaspora and Painting, you're missing out! A fresh take on contemporary art from a diverse lens, we need more of this! The art is on par with what you would see in a metropolitan city, and leaves you with alot to think about.

Absolutely always worth a visit. It’s a generous, high ceilings, bright and welcoming space. The admission is (sometimes) free and the are thoughtfully curated. Has a small book store as well. Their kids and even baby oriented events are a great addition to the art experience.

A different kind of experience. Featured a unique exhibit. My friend and I really enjoyed it. Admission was free for this particular time. Will definitely come back to check out other exhibitions in future.

Our visit to the Esker museum was wonderful. The exhibits were thought provoking and the "Care and Wear: Bodies Crafted for Harm and Healing" was so interesting. Thank you for this experience.

Cool gallery, decent amount of parking and they validate the parade parking. Depending on the exhibit it can be totally free. I went to see an installation on the 4th floor and it was completely free to go see. Quite cool, they had 9 different projectors with individuals playing an instrument on each and a speaker above the screen. As you moved around the room the sound changed quite drastically as the mixing was done via space in the room rather than digitally.

We are so lucky to have this gallery in Calgary. They always have amazing exhibitions. Love this place!

Amazing foundation, but should reconsider who they hire as front desk. Both ladies were rude and stand offish, as they both continued their conversation like I wasn’t there.

The Esker Foundation is fantastic! Their space was vibrant and bright, I went last year for the Katie Ohe Exhibition it was splendid, I would recommend this place to anyone who is eager to experience some art in Calgary, not a lot of places like it! Good fun for the whole family. Take your grandma? Take your siblings? Take your parents? Take a date? Any of the above just go!

Went to see the Katie Ohe Exhibition. It was absolutely awesome and well worth the trouble to go. These pics are just a sampling of her smaller pieces that were hanging together on a wall. The space shows off her kinetic sculptures and those are the feature of this exhibition. If you have not had the opportunity to see her work in person or even if you have, it is well worth it!

My favourite art space in the city. A wonderful, spacious room that feels cohesive, but utilizes angles to produce effective, separate viewing of shows containing multiple artists. A wonderful feeling space usually filled with beautifully curated art.
