I just moved to Calgary from Vancouver about 6 months ago and had no idea that there were places as lovely as this to wander in. I went on a beautiful sunny day in February and really enjoyed myself. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in all the other seasons!

It is incredibly a beautiful place. Trail is easy and paved. Parking is sufficient. Good for a long walk. Not crowded and amazing fresh smell.

Beautiful park with an even more beautiful lake overlooking the Rocky mountains. It's so scenic for fall walks and family picnics

Huge park with many interesting trails, there are a lot of birds to watch, different landscapes, couple beaver huts. Great place for bike ride, jogging or walking.

We biked around the Glenmore reservoir and the trail was quite beautiful and had some amazing views. If you're facing north we went clockwise and it seemed to be the way to go. Still got some big hills but going the other way seemed to have even bigger hills so we're glad we went that way.

Great place to fish. Best time is at sunrise. Afternoons can have small crowds of people here. Easy access via bicycle with a couple big hills if you are coming from South Glenmore Park.

Unlike the many other parks in the city, Weaselhead offers a great outdoor experience, with lots of wildlife, and lovely trails and views. It is one of the few places in the city where you can see the amount of wildlife that you do in Weaselhead. I live quite far away from Weaselhead, but I still manage to visit there at least once a year because of how great it is. A real nice getaway in the city. If you are a calgary resident, or are in town I highly recommend you check it out.

Pretty scenic for being right in the city! There are kms of multi-use trails so you can pick a loop depending on how long you’d like to go. Great path by the river that was an hour start to finish. You feel like you’re in the country. At the beginning, there is a slight downhill and then of course uphill at the end in case you have mobility issues. Some great vistas from the top and saw cross country skiers along the river. Although there were many cars in the parking lot, it didn’t feel too busy as everyone spreads out and goes their own way it seems. I was there at 10:00 am on a Sunday. I only rated 4 stars because I felt the signage at the trail intersections could be improved.

What an amazing day out at the water at Weaselhead Flats! A Fish Creek scenic feel with a ton a nature to take in! A great way within the city to experience the wild!

Amazing place with swallows, beavers, red-winged blackbirds, mergencers and other creatures. Feels pristine and a bit wild. I love to stroll here. You can reach the Heritage park if you keep walking, but it depends where you entered the park.

Came here on March 13 2021, when the weather got nice. Very scenic, and very busy, unfortunately the majority of the trails down by the river were still covered in ice and snow and it was very slippery and muddy. We'll give it another couple of weeks before we come back.

An ok place for a walk and a bit of bird spotting, but there is no separation of bikes and walkers and bikes even on trails where signs say not to. Is real risk of being hit by mountain bikes. Would be a nice scenic area if could relax enough to enjoy it.

Incredible nature experience right in our backyard. Main pathway is paved however there are lots of single track trails to explore.

Beautiful park with plenty of trails! The sound scape is a sensational Playlist of birds, frogs and bugs, an auditory treat inside the city. Recommend visitors get ready to play in the mud and rocks along the river! Paved trails are wide enough for dual lanes, easy to push a wide stroller on. A consideration when taking littles: the paths are used extensively by cyclists and littles do not always understand the right side of the path. There should really be signage on the bridge decks asking cyclist to dismount and walk their bikes across.

Weaselhead Flats is a hidden gem. It's a peaceful oasis in the city that's perfect for a relaxing walk or bike ride. The park has a diverse range of ecosystems, including forests, wetlands, and meadows, which makes it an ideal place for nature lovers to explore. The trails are well-maintained and offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape. I especially enjoyed the birdwatching opportunities and the chance to see the changing colors of the leaves in the fall. Overall, Weaselhead Flats is a must-visit for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

There are so many choices when you decide to explore here. The trails are well marked and the signage is good. There are paved paths and well maintained gravel /woodland paths. The views are stunning. Good for all abilities.

Great spot to hangout and enjoy nature, or beat the heat in the river. People use the pedestrian bridge to jump off when the river is high. Lots of beavers in the area and moose.

It's just so magnificent and beautiful in the fall, there are so many little trails with the tree canopy covering them, and the colours are just magnificent!

Get up close and personal with biodiverse nature just within the city boundaries and away from the hustle and bustle of Glenmore North. A good mix of forested walks and views of the water. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there were very few people on the trail.

First time going into the natural area a few days ago. it was nice to explore a new area and to try and photograph some wildlife. I would avoid the green path following the river that leads towards the wooden dock path, unless you want water logged shoes like me. Part of the pathway seemed to have been destroyed and floating away. I will definitely be back to explore this area more!

SO MANY POPLAR TREES. It is stunning in the summer when you are walking through the thousands of poplars. Lots of wildlife; if you're lucky you may see a beaver. You can even see the mountains in the distance.

It's a great trail in the middle of urban area. If you don't want to drive. This is yours. Just take a cab or even use public transportation. Then suddenly you find yourself in the wild. Remember in winter you need spikes

Ample parking, outhouses/ bathrooms available. Beautiful pathways for walking. We did see 2 coyotes on a trail , quite a few squirrels , and a chickadee landed on my friends hand for some food! Was a great experience.

Such a wonderful place for walking or biking. Year after year, it never gets old. REQUEST: cyclists, please stay off the walking paths; please use a bell; and please refrain from excessive speeds on shared paths.

The weaselhead beaver dam area, looks completely changed and is really interesting to go check out right now. Who needs Abraham Lake methane bubble photos when you can get some glorious shots of bubbles down and weasel head flats!! LoL (it's pretty murky)
