At the checkout, when paying with a card, they do not ask for tips!!!! I came many times and for the tenth time I noticed that somehow the terminal immediately asks for payment total amount with tips bypass! It's worth coming here just for that. I tip here myself. Cash. The owner is a very nice person and not greedy. Always cheerful. He's probably been working here all his life. When we make a big order, there are always good discounts. Shawarma is always delicious. Lots of meat. I love this place.

Thank you for dinner !! I had the house plate : Tabouli, hummus, three grape leaves, two falafels, and I choose the mixed meet Chicken & Donair, with a tasty aioli or garlic sauce and a pita. The food was amazing, fresh and so full of flavor. The gentleman had to put up with me for an hour while my car was being repaired, he was so nice and thoughtful, very social. He has a great business and delicious food. You should eat here !!

The guy behind the counter is a hoot; it's almost like dinner and a show. The meat and sauce are amazingly flavourful. Unfortunately, like most donairs, the wrap does not absorb the sauce so it leaks causing a mess. (even though I kept the wrapper on the part I wasn't actively biting into.) Also his mask slipped down throughout the serving process and he didn't fix it.

Calgary Shawarma is a great little hole in the wall along Edmonton Trail full of delicious food and endless laughs thanks to Marjuan's high energy. Be warned that sometimes the jokes can be a bit on the non-PC side of things depending on which customers are in the shop at the time.

Buttttt CALGARY SHAWARMA is definitely my favourite place. Not just the amazing quality And flavour of the food, but mainly the atmosphere, price, and over all feel of the place. You know when you go to grandmas house? It kind of feels like that. You feel at home, and very well taken care of. The size is very generous and the price is very reasonable. This place has the best Shawarma iv had in the city, the food was so delicious and i could tell every ingredient was made with care. The place had personality and good vibes as soon as I went in. It's always the odd locations that have the best shawarma, this place has a friendly owner who welcomes you with a smile and of course banger food. The portion sizes were great, about the same size as every other shawarma you've eaten in Calgary. The chicken is well seasoned and the sauces are all flavorful, especially the garlic sauce. It's not the cloud looking garlic sauce that you get out of other establishments, can't describe the taste of the garlic sauce very well but its unique and perhaps the best one I've had in my life. The 4.8 stars are here for a good reason.This place is amazing.

The best Shawarma I've ever had. I have traveled throughout the middle east recently. I have never ran into to someone who takes so much pride in delivering amazing, quality food and conversation. I wish I was local, as i would eat here frequently. If you are in the area, you owe it to yourself to try this once in a lifetime food!

You’ve got some options for shawarma/donair in the area, but this is the right choice. Both beef and chicken are always perfectly seasoned. Sauces are flavourful, proportions are perfect. The man who runs this place does so with enthusiasm and care. Prices are low, quality is very high. A business worth supporting.

Letting anti maskers in when the stores only allowed 3 at a time with a mask,,,I was upset, the foods good but not worth catching Covid19 from ignorance, the person behind the counter has control of his store, that person should have been asked to leave. I've worked across the street at Boogies for 6 years, and when I'm not in the mood for burgers I always go here. I'm pretty the guy that owns/runs it is the only person who works there and he's literally the sweetest guy on the planet. The food is always amazing, the portions are generous, the prices are more than fair, and whether it's busy or slow you'll get the friendliest service in the city every time. I was craving a shawarma & was driving around with my partner to find a place opened around 10am ish, as most places aren't opened till about 11am. We came across Calgary Shawarma which was luckily opened. We ordered a large & small beef shawarma. It was delicious & definitely satisfied my cravings!! The gentlemen working there was very friendly & provided excellent customer service! I'm glad to be supporting a local business like this in these unprecedented times. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food & appreciates quality service!

This place is a must try. Recently tried this place and I am hooked! First, the service is great. Very friendly and everyone is smiling and respectful. The food is great. So tasty and very fresh. You can get a platter or a shawarma wrap. Both are awesome. I get the wrap and for $11.50 it's a lot of wrap. They have chicken, lamb and beef and make it how you want it. There's a Shawarma Palace in Forestlawn and one also in Falconridge.
