Trout Beach

Park β€’ Water park

πŸ‘ I love going here! I've seen some beautiful birds here including Ospreys. Only thing sad about it is how many times I've seen people bring their little kids there to climb on the islands, scare away fish and birds, and most annoying of all, just scream. People often mention water, beach, kids, tables, picnic,

In from out of town get lil beach for young kids with water shoes to wade around in calm current. The beach is smooth round people type. Picnic tables but no washroom at beach. There may be some somewhere else on island I did not venture past the beach.

Fantastic place to take kids on a sunny day, no matter how hot or cold it is! On weekends there are often great events going on, which have always been free. They did a great job bringing back indigenous plants and species to the island after the flood. Lots of animals, including deer to be found. A great design with lots of spots to play, and great picnic food nearby.

First time at our urban β€œbeach”. Great day for it. Pathways, playgrounds, lots of picnic tables, somewhere to dip our toes, we’ll be back! Just needs wi-fi ;)

Beautiful little beach, the open river walkway is a fun addition. The beach was a little poopy (thanks geese)but it was still completely usable. The water is calm over on the beach side, so it's nice for families, and it wasn't nearly as busy as I would have expected. Overall, it's a beautiful space. It's a perfect place to go on a hot summer day if you need to cool down!

Love it here! Only 1 star off because I wish there was more grass less dirt and more seating. There are 2 picnic tables but that's it. I love that the water is shallow and calm for the kids to play in. It was a bit muddy and the water had some decaying leaves but water shoes solve the problem! Perfect place for a picnic and to cool off. The rocks are not that comfy to walk on so bring water shoes for yourself too and a blanket to sit on the rocks or chairs! We'll be back!

Amazing place, with quiet water for the little ones. There is some shade under the trees, there are also some picnic tables. Easy to access from the parking lot in east village. A small space but good for some refreshing water

A nice little spot to get into the water. This are us sheltered from the main river so it’s a nice place to go in with younger children. There is also lots of rocks for throwing, picnic tables and shade. Bring water shoes as there is no sand, only rocks. There is also a playground nearby as well as a few cafes within a 10 minute walk.

Great place to cool off after playing at the wonderful playground! The kids loved finding fish and having some freedom to explore in nature as the water is quite shallow.

A lovely pebbles beach to relax on, shallow enough for young children to wade in.
