For those who leave, never to return. For those who return but are never the same. We remember. If you have never had the opportunity to go check out the Field of Crosses downtown along Memorial Drive- you really need to go check it out. What an incredibly somber experience. 3500 crosses. All the names. All the ages. All the rankings and all the death dates along with some that have stories. It gave me goosebumps. What an incredible memorial for our fallen Soldiers.

One of the few free and meaningful places I can go while forced to be in this ongoing hostage scenario.

A beautiful way to pay tribute to our heroes. Always touching and wonderful to see. Especially beautiful is the sunset ceremony. You really need to see this every year. Thank you to all who are responsible for setting this up.

So very meaningful. I visit the field of crosses every year to pay my respects to those that have and continue to sacrifice for us. Every year there are more stories and photos attached to crosses that groups and individuals have provided so that people can connect with our veterans.

Thereโ€™s not too much to say, other than thank you to those who have fallen. Itโ€™s a very touching and riveting moment to stand amongst the crosses in silence, and imagine what these men and women were like, and what life mightโ€™ve looked like for them. Lest we forget ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Weโ€™re standing in this land with peace and freedom thanks to their sacrifice back in World Wars. 1 cross represents 1000 soldiers. My first time to this meaningful event.

Remembering all those that have passed away for us. Including their dogs and horses. We wouldn't be living in the land that we livein or the world today. God Bless an Amen.

Beautiful Remembrance Day Service, very moving, marking the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War(1914-1918). Included bagpipes, a children's choir and wreath laying.
