My wife and I ate here for the first time a couple days ago. The space is fresh and clean with modern decor and great ambiance. Sitting at the bar, we had a cool breeze blowing through with some reggae playing in the background, which really made for a great setting. The food was delicious; simple, but super fresh and clean tasting. We tried a few of the local craft brews 508 had on tap, and all of them delivered. They have a pretty good variety on tap, so you're sure to find something you like. If you want a nice local place to sit down and have a beer or glass of wine with a bite to eat, this is it! We're looking forward to being regulars here.

Taco Tuesday at the 508 Tavern! My kids eat here all the time. This time I went and the food was delicious! Great service! Can’t wait to go back!

Met up with some good friend for taco Tuesday. It was a full house but found some seating. (There is a couple of tables inside and in the front patio, but most of the seating is outside on the side of the building). Very relaxed, backyard feel making it feel like home. They have weekly specials Tuesday-Friday (see photos of menu) Service was great, friendly and down to earth. They explained everything so well when we had questions. Tacos were smaller than I expected but packed with flavor and loved the variety of options. Poki Ahi was fresh, savory and yummy. Personal favorite was the chorizo cheese fries—Wow, everyone in the group couldn’t stop eating them. Root beer float was nice and big. Overall a staple place to grab a drink and some good grub without losing out on value. Looking forward to going back.

This place is amazing, and I'm sad not to live close by anymore! The food is delicious, I will definitely dream of those tater tots, and the beer rotation is a 10/10! The owner and the servers are so nice. Y'all have really done a great job creating an enjoyable and welcoming environment! Lana will definitely miss rolling in your grass; thank you for being so kind and patient with her!

Neighborhood feel and atmosphere with a great tap list and the best bar food we've ever had. The owners are super nice and helpful too. If we lived in Vista 508 would be a regular stop.

Super cute tavern. After so many nights saying we really should go to 508, we finally went. And we kicked ourselves for not visiting sooner. We sat inside where there's limited seating at the bar and a few other tables. There were a couple of TVs to catch the Padres game. And everyone just enjoyed their time. We'd all chime in on random conversations, then go back to our table's conversation. Anytime someone new walked in, the whole room greeted them. The waitresses were just awesome - welcoming, conversational, funny. Fun front porch seating and a big tent oit thr side door for ample seating options. Plenty of local beer, which is required in North County. The ahi, mango and avo poke with wonton chips was delicious and fresh. The kitchen was kind enough to accommodate my son's request for the fried chicken sandwich to be "deconstructed." Amazing place that will become our go-to in Vista!

This place is a must go. Pours were heavy and the staff was delightful. The food was the biggest surprise!! The Korean tacos were delicious and the ceviche was exceptional for the price. Cannot forget a side of tator tots because they come out crunchy and are the perfect compliment to enjoying an evening here

I love this place! The friendliest staff, the best food, the best drinks, and all at the best prices. (I really need a thesaurus)...My new favorite neighborhood tavern. Update: still awesome fish tacos are gigantic and tots were perfect...oh ya, also cold beer.

Came for Tuesday tacos and they were delicious! I'd call them "elevated street tacos." Korean steak and avocado were particular favorites. Service was good. Patio was enjoyable.

This place rocks! If you're looking for great food, a solid beer selection and great service with a great local vibe this is the place to be. Shelly and the crew work their tails off and it's shows, the wings are solid and the fish & Korean tacos are bomb! Support local, independent business' and enjoy a great local establishment at 508.

508 was the go-to place for food and more during the "lockdown" of 2020 and they've only gotten better since. Parking can be a challenge but worth any trouble. AND dog friendly.

We are New Englanders that moved to Vista for 7 years and came to love the 508 tavern. We moved backed to New England 2 years ago and came back to visit sunny San Diego. After a 5.5 hour flight, jet lagged and all- our first stop had to be the 508…it was exactly the same vibe, amazing food/beer and most of all the service. Thank you 508 for staying consistently special!

This place is great. They have spent time and effort on the outside seating, making a nice place great. Great beer selection, some amazing tasty hazy's. Order the chicken sando and/or the sliders, you will be very happy. Honestly might be the best sliders I have had. And I haven't even touched on the great service. Sat in the front when the back was full a little worried about getting forgotten, but they were awesome and very attentive. Come here as often as possible!

Lively spot hidden away in Vista. The staff was smiling and very attentive. I always try cheese curds whenever available and 508 did not disappoint!

I can't say anything was great about this place. Seating was mostly outside and they only had two heaters for everyone. Seating was also very cramped and the chairs were really high, hard and had no backs, so they were not comfortable. The menu was really just mostly appetizers, so if you're looking for a hearty meal this isn't the place. The prices were average. Our server was really nice, but aside from that I wasn't impressed.

We found this little gem while looking for a good dinner place after the movies. 508 is a tiny restaurant with indoor seating for about 20 people. There are also a few picnic tables out back for diners with doggies. The menu is limited, but the food is excellent. Very fresh and made to order. They have a good selection of local wines and locally brewed beer. Highly recommend.

I've been here many times for happy hour or some time with friends drinking, but never had their tacos before. Honestly, they were so good! Delicious and would totally recommend!

Very cool spot to hit up for a drink. Went for Taco Tuesday and they were good! It was my first time here and it got pretty busy, on a Tuesday Night! There were customers who seemed to be repeates customers, which is always great to see. Great environment and I'll definitely be back.

Pretty expensive for some regular street tacos, unless you come on Tuesday you are going to be paying a lot of money for just a few tacos, garlic parmesan fries had giant pieces of garlic and lazily thrown on top cheese, tots had little cheese and most of it was in the corner of the plate, tacos were good but expensive and not enough food for a regular person. The atmosphere was nice but the quality of food was not great.

Pretty good food for a bar! Can't speak to the alcohol, but I liked what we ordered. Not my vibes, but "welcoming small town", if that's your thing.

This has become my absolute favorite local spot! Shelly and the crew make you feel so welcomed, the food is DELICIOUS, and the outdoor space is gorgeous! I can’t tell you how much I love this place. I recommend it to all my friends and nobody has ever been disappointed. 10/10 try it!

BOMB! Good food. Good vibes. Great place for everyone in the family/friend group. Even if you wanted to come out here for a casual date night, this place would be fun. There is Indoor/Outdoor seating and street side patio eating area too. Next time I come back I'll get photos of the back patio area and inside. Quick, friendly, and responsive service. Great place to watch the summer sunset, have some delicious food, and drink with good company. Easy to find parking. Definitely coming back. Wonderful addition to Vista.

This place is new to Vista. Established this year, 2017. It's a tiny place but they have a great list of beers and food. We shared a plate of sliders and Korean tacos. The sliders were really good but the Korean tacos were fantastic! We also tried the Parmesan garlic Chris cut fries which are also fabulous. And we also tried stuffed fried olives very interesting. I liked them but I think Matt loved them.

We tried this on a whim, and we're very pleasantly surprised. The beer and wine selection is mediocre, but the food selection is excellent. The calamari and the sliders are excellent.

What a great place! It's a Small, cute place with a large outdoor dining area. The nine of us ordered a variety of food items and drinks and all were great. Large portions and a fun, competent waitress. The tacos (fish and Korean bbq) and sliders were especially good.

The great beer selection is craft so use your imagination! I came on taco Tuesday. I had one shrimp, one avocado( better than any fried avocado dish I eaten so far anywhere), one adobada(my favorite most places but this one was top notch), one carne asada(solid), one fish taco( very light and delicious). I’m looking forward to trying the spicy Korean BBQ next time I’m here(they ran out, apparently it’s popular). Staff is friendly and attentive with a great attitude. I met the lady (chef) behinds some of the recipes. Overall it was a pleasure. Thank you 805 and staff/crew. It was a pleasure and am looking forward to next time. Cheers!
