As a long time patient of the the Hertzog Eye Care Center I could not be more pleased with the outcome of my recent Cataract surgery. Dr. D. Hertzog is an outstanding Eye Physician and Surgeon and his entire staff are extremely efficient, effective and professional. I would trust no other with my eyes! Everything worked like clockwork, they are extremely efficient and professional. I was kept informed of the process all along and even through the surgery. Their scheduled appointments always on time in and out . There was no delayed waiting for appointment. His staff is very professional and knowledgeable, polite and courteous. The best thing is I am seeing perfectly.

My experience with Dr. Herzog and his office staff was exceptional. Dr. Herzog performed cataract surgery on me with IOLs. The result were beyond my expectations! The pre and post op visits were organized, efficient and informative. I felt very comfortable with the knowledgeable and caring staff during the entire procedure. Having this procedure was life changing for me and I am so happy that Dr. Herzog performed it. I cannot recommend him enough!

I have never done a review for a doctor, but Hertzog Eye Care is so exceptional I looked forward to the opportunity. The doctors, staff, and facility are all outstanding. I have experience with other eye physicians and I can truly say there is no comparison with Hertzog Eye Care. In my case I had cataract surgery on both eyes. This surgery requires multiple appointments before, and after the surgery. Hertzog Eye Care is so well organized that I never waited past my appointment time to be seen. In Fact, I was often finished with my appointment before the actual scheduled time. The surgery itself was painless and recovery was shorter than I imagined. The team of caring specialists and customer service professionals will make your every visit a relaxing experience. Because of my eye condition, for the last 10+ years I have been going there twice a year for my check-ups. They always made me feel comfortable and their appointment process goes smoothly, so you're in and out usually within an hour. Dr. Dieter Hertzog performed minor eye surgery for me. He explained the options and procedure in detail. Dr. Hertzog is very personable in addition to being a very good surgeon. I also started seeing Dr. Ryan in their optical department. I have to also add that everyone in the office there, from the front desk staff, to the optical department, to the surgeons and assistants/nurses are extremely friendly and kind. They really seem to enjoy their jobs. This is a marked contrast from many other medical practices.

At age 75, a growing cataract in my left eye had become intolerable. I went to the Hertzog Eye Care center in Long Beach and was examined by a very professional and efficient staff. I was further examined and consulted with Leif M. Hertzog, M.D. After discussing my condition he recommended the “Vivity extended Depth of Focus Lens.” The surgery was completed at “Surgery Center of Long Beach,” which is located across the street from Memorial Hospital on Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach. The staff at the Surgery Center was also very competent and professional. Doctor Leif Hertzog performed the surgery. I was awake the entire time and did not experience any pain or discomfort. During the surgery Dr. Hertzog kept me advised of the progress. I am very pleased with the results. The Vivity lens is more than I had hoped for. So unexpectedly a great experience with excellent results! Clinic is clean, experienced and has friendly staff that explains every step they are involved in. Dieter Herzog was fabulous, kind and an excellent surgeon. I had cataract removal and lens implants in both eyes with ZERO pain and fabulous results.

Dr. Dieter Hertzog is a wonderful doctor! Less than six months ago, I was basically blind in one eye at a fairly young age with a cataract. I decided to go to Dr. Hertzog based on reviews, his qualifications and the location as well. The whole process from getting exams, testing, mapping the eye and the operation only took several weeks. I was nervous but he and his staff put me at ease and I trusted him to choose a great IOL, the toric lens. The surgery was a breeze, it was a very interesting process. The result was 20/20 vision in that eye and I am so grateful to the doctor! I have gotten back to reading, playing the piano, and enjoying life.
