Update: So here is the full story on New York Jewelers. My husband purchased my engagement ring and wedding band in May of 2016. Within a year my ring began literally falling apart, we brought it in to be fixed because it basically bent in half and a diamond on the side fell off. At that time we also paid to have my band and engagement ring fused together, as a suggestion from New York Jewelers themselves in order to strengthen the ring. We PAID for the rings to be fused together AS WELL AS the repairs. Not long after that I noticed the ring had shifted and the halo looked like it was bent, and yet another diamond on the band had falling off. So we came back again to address the issue, this time we were told there’s no problem with the ring, and it was handed back to us all shined up. As time went on I noticed this more and more and decided to get another opinion from a reputable jeweler, who looked at the ring and told me not to wear the ring because I was close to losing my diamond. After hearing this alarming information, I then proceeded to bring the ring to THREE other jewelers who ALL told me the same exact thing. Two different jewelers even told me how they’ve had OTHER customers from New York Jewelers with similar issues, they also explained to me how New York Jewelers has their rings made in China, and they also sell used items, they suggested I bring my ring back to New York Jewelers and speak to them because they sold my husband a faulty ring. So that’s what we did. That’s when the nightmare began starting with the run around by Darryl the “manufacturing manager” who again tried saying nothing was wrong with the ring (until we literally had to show him ourselves), to him lying and saying he was going to “help us” with the ring problem, to not calling me when he said he would, to the salesman going through our information on file and CALLING the person who recommended us to New York Jewelers to gain information on my husband and I, to Steve another “store manager” calling me up today, accusing me of having work done at other places besides New York jewelers ( even though I have ALL the documentation of every bit of work done at NYJ, including photos of my ring each instance) to telling me he wants no relationship with me because we haven’t purchased any other jewelers from them in the last 3 years— basically saying since we only bought one item they could care less about us as customers. These people literally ripped my husband off, lied, screamed at me, and took our money and refused to fix or replace the ring. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this place at all costs. There are so many other reputable jewelers out there who actually care about their customers and quality of jewelry. Maybe if New York jewelers sold us quality jewelry and had decent customer service we would have purchased more items from them, but since we didn’t, that’s their reasoning for not taking care of the mess they created. Do not trust this company. Deceitful liars, taking advantage of others— selling extremely poor quality jewelry at designer prices. I have quite the story to tell. Dealing with the manufacturing manager Darryl has been a nightmare in its own. He’s lied from the beginning from telling me nothing was wrong with my jewelry, to saying he’s going to talk to the owner of the company on a specific day and call me with a resolution, to then saying it’s not the owner he has to talk to, it’s the GM, but he’s been “too busy” so I’ll have to wait even longer, to snooping through our purchase file and pulling information on people who recommended us to the company. This is the most upsetting and shady thing I’ve ever had to deal with in retail. I’ll just share this for now as a warning for others, you won’t even believe the rest of my story which I’ll share later.

The best experience and they have the absolute best deals. I was looking to set my topaz into a ring for my wife as a push present and Barry helped me find a ring that was premium metal (platinum) and twice the amount of diamonds at less than the cost other jewelers were quoting me for less premium metal. Oh, and they were able to set the gem in the ring DAY OF! I can’t think of any better place than this place. They are all professionals and treat you like royalty. Ask for Barry.

I’m not sure how this company has ANY reviews that are less than 5 stars... their selection is incredible, they are honest, their prices are fair and their customer service is incredible. Jewelry is a business of relationships. Like all jewelers worth visiting, you get a personalized experience with a sales rep who can help you look for exactly what it is you want to buy. Don’t be upset if you aren’t helped right away — if you need immediate service, call ahead instead of just walking in. I’ve shopped twice here — once for gemstone earrings and once for a diamond tennis bracelet. I had an issue with my appraisal not matching my bracelet that went unnoticed by me for months, and the customer service I received when they became aware of the issue is definitely worth noting. They offered to exchange the bracelet for the one my appraisal was for (which was still in inventory) or replace the appraisal. In the end, Tim (downstairs w/ the diamonds) was correct that the bracelet I received was the better quality. That’s the type of customer service that will keep me coming back! I know for most people, jewelry isn’t an every-day type of thing to purchase. But I know that when I shop here, I am getting estate pieces that I can pass down to my family. The pieces are simply made to out last us, just take care of it and it will sparkle! I also got some new earring backs here that I love! Nice big backs so my studs won’t fall out. Oh and last thing, their cleaning solution is worlds better than dawn soap! It has some sort of polishing effect that really makes the jewelry look brand new after a cleaning!!!

New York jewelers is a great place for watch shopping. I’ve shopped here twice, looking for watches for my husband. Tony in the watch department is always incredibly helpful, informative, and never too pushy. I don’t know much about watches, so Tony was patient in explaining different brands, styles, and options at a range of prices.

This is the best jewelry shop in Bryan/College Station. Occasionally we need repair work performed on rings and necklaces. This is the only place we will go for the work. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. They do high quality work and get it done quickly at a good price. We've always been very pleased and we have brought several jewelry pieces here for repair.

I was shocked at the variety of selection and number of Rolex watches in stock at this store. Staff were nice too. Would recommend the drive to college station for out of towners looking for Rolexes as this is apparently a well-kept secret.

This place is one of a kind! Spectacular service giving you the most beautifully crafted jewelry. I had the privilege of designing my girlfriend's (now fiancee's) engagement ring and wedding band at David Gardner's Jewelers. The staff were a blessing and such a great partner to work with as they had lots of experience and were very patient and kind. I got to work with Caysi and she was amazing. From the start I knew I could trust her and ask any question I needed to. I would recommend David Gardner's Jewelers to any and every person that is looking for beautiful jewelry for loved ones.

I had a not so good experience in there. Had a pair of diamond stud earrings and lost a screw back off of one of them. Took them into get a new screw and the salesman showed me what they call a Martini Setting ($250). I went ahead and purchased the new setting and left my diamond studs which are 2 carat total there. Once they called to say they were ready for pick up I went down promptly to get them. They brought out the new settings with my diamonds in them and I asked where my old settings and the one screw was, there response was they were probably scrapped. So after 5-10 minutes looking around they located them. Once I got home I looked at the old settings and they had removed a post from the original and sautered it onto one of he new Martini settings. The screw fit that one fine because it was from the original one, the one they replaced the screw does not screw on straight. So what they basically did was charge me for 2 settings and gave me my old post and screw back on the new setting from my original repair. I will never go back to that store and would caution others.

I loved working with David Gardner’s! They helped me create a custom ring for my fiancé and I absolutely love the final product. They were friendly, genuine, and people I felt like I could really trust. They talked with me through every step of the process and were always willing to answer any questions I had! My now Husband purchased my engagement ring from NYJ and was very pleased with their service. We wanted to design the ring together so he proposed with a beautiful oval solitaire. When it came to design the ring we got quotes from a few jewelers, but NYJ was the best option, not to mention their service was impeccable. We designed two custom pieces with the help of NYJ. During that time we worked very closely with Kabita Shrestha. She was kind, helpful and not to mention very patient with all the back and forth. I am very particular and wanted these pieces to be perfect. Not to mention we cut it a little close to the wedding date making the process feel a little stressful. Kabita took away all the worry stepping us through the process and making sure we felt confident the ring would be what we wanted. Two molds later we have the ring of our dreams. Ten years ago, my husband and I had my diamond reset for our 20th Anniversary. Now, we just celebrated our 30th and I wanted the matching wedding band, which the designer no longer makes. 2 years ago I inherited a ring from my grandmother. For insurance purposes I wanted to have it appraised. New York Jewlers apprised it within 20 minutes as a 1.5 carat Garnet surrounded by 12 (.75 carat) diamonds. Last week I finally went into Windy City Diamonds to have the stones reset into another setting. They sent it out to have a GIA appraisal, turns out it's a 1.8 carat Pigeon Blood Ruby surrounded by 12 (1 carat) diamonds. and worth way more than the original appraisal. If you've had something apprised here, please have it verified by another source. I believed New York Jewlers until I had it sent out recently (I also had another jewelers other than Windy City also verify). It's worth knowing what your stuff is worth, if for no other reason that you should know if you're walking around with the cost of a Tesla on your finger!!

My Fiance and I came on my lunch break to get my ring resized because we were taking engagement photos the next day and the New York family got us in and out within 20 mins! We were expecting for it to take hours, or overnight. We were so floored with the service we received. I will ALWAYS continue to come here and refer my family and friends here. I just bought a Breitling pre-owned Aerospace wrist watch from New York Jewelers. Breitling discontinued the model in 2012 and although its nearly 10 years old this remarkable example remains in like new condition. I dealt with Mike who manages the business and made the entire sales process worry free. You’re always concerned when buying online. Is it a great web site, but in reality you’re dealing with someone selling watches and rugs from the trunk of their car off route 80. They’re in Chicago today and Peoria tomorrow. New York Jewelers has been in business since 1890. That’s 30 years before the Chicago Bears hit the gridiron and 10 years before the White Sox started playing baseball at Comiskey Park. Benjamin Harrison was President. They’re online and brick and motor and that’s what I look for when making a purchase. They’re now on my favorites list and I’ll be back to buy more.

You can immediately tell that you’re in good hands with Ralph. He’s a total pro and extremely experienced. He helped us find a beautiful engagement ring that perfectly fits my style. I purchased an engagement ring through NYJ. My fiancé and I are very happy with both the diamond and custom ring we had designed. It was a successful buying experience and I will be returning to NYJ for our wedding bands and other future jewelry purchases. They accommodate customers by validating your valet ticket, so make sure you pull right up in front of the store so you don’t have to waste time/money parking elsewhere. Marc was extremely helpful and in the search for the right diamond. When you are in his office, 100% of his time is dedicated to you and finding the right diamond, no matter how many you need to look at or how long it takes. I was very particular and specific about choosing which diamond was perfect for us. He never gave up and never made me feel like I was wasting any of his or my time. He gave helpful pointers on what should be most important to ‘him AND her’ when deciding on the “perfect” diamond. Scott, the sales manager, was very helpful as well. He made sure to step in when necessary and get me the information I needed when Marc wasn’t scheduled to be at the office that day. Simon, was another key piece to my successful buying experience. He took the initiative to reach out to me via email and schedule a time for me to pick up the engagement ring. He was very responsive in his email communication, which I really appreciated. Bottom line, NYJ will take care of you and not pressure you into buying anything. They are there to serve you.

If you are looking for a jewelry store with a large selection of jewelry and watches this is the place for you. Not to forget to mention great prices and service! The first watch I purchased was a Tag over 10 years ago. I recently had an issue with the watch after (10 years) I called Jimmy one of the owners, he put me in contact with the service department. I sent them the watch they called me back a few days later with a price and what was wrong with it. I gave them permission to fix it a couple weeks later they called me for payment and shipped the watch back to me. The process was very easy and they kept me informed every step of the way. In the last 10 years I purchased 4 watches. Every transaction was better than the next. Thanks again for everything!!

I've had great experiences every time with New York Jewelers, beginning with an engagement ring purchase. It was nerve wracking at the time, but Scott was tremendously helpful and relaxed. Everything I've ever bought there independently appraised for an amount at or above the appraisal NYJ provided after the sale. I’m seriously the worst client you can possibly imagine when it comes to diamonds. So needless to say, I’m probably the client from h*ll when it comes to buying me an engagement ring. My fiancée was challenged with finding a near impossible stone aligned with a very particular custom created setting. Kabita had the patience to deal with my fiancée Dan (Slobodan) in creating 5 mock settings, later on she also had to ultimately meet me- who had some “tweaking” requests. Kabita deserves an award, a raise, a promotion... whatever you wanna call it...for listening, staying late, maintaining diligent contact and ultimately for making dreams come true. I’ve waited a very long time for this special day and words will never be able to describe the gratitude I have in my heart for all of her efforts. I recently began looking for a 30 year anniversary gift for my wife. I looked at some local jewelry then thought it was maybe time to look at Jewelers Row in Chicago. While visiting several stores there I entered New York Jewelers. They were well staffed and very friendly. I am a blue collar worker and dressed in my daily attire I was greeted as a valued costumer before I ever considered making a purchase. I was introduced to a young lady named Kabita and we began the process of finding something I though my wife would love. She helped my to see the difference in quality in diamonds as did some other staff members. I felt comfortable and did not feel like i was being steered in any direction. After my first visit, i had to cut my time short as I headed back home to Minooka Ill as I did not want my wife to find out I was looking for an anniversary gift. After a little more time i was able to get back to New York Jewelers and look again at a possible gift with Kabita. She had all of my information from the first visit and I liked what I saw. I got engaged on September 12th but my engagement ring was too big my fiancé lives out of state. So it was up to me to have the ring sized. I searched Google and came across David Gardeners Jewelry I called and immediately they were professional and courteous. I took my ring in on a Thursday around 4:30 that evening right before they close they told me they could do it but it probably wouldn’t be ready until Monday. Which was still better than other places I called in which the wait time was up to 2 weeks or more. Well very next day that Friday I received a call from from the jewelry store stating that my ring was ready. In just 24 hours I had my engagement ring back. Fast, and friendly a all-around class act ...I love this place.

I found David Gardner’s Jewelry on Instagram. I had the true pleasure of working with Sophie Newton. I live in Florida and worked with her via e-mail/phone for a couple of weeks to buy my husband his dream watch. She was so helpful and sweet. She got back to my e-mails and calls within a day. You can find a watch anywhere but genuine customer service doesn’t come by very often. I would recommend them to anyone!

David Gardner's has maintained my rings over the years and returns them to me promptly. He offers safe mailing options which is wonderful if you buy in College Station and then move away like many do after college. David Gardner's makes the yearly inspection process easy! There are never any issues getting a repair resolved from a distance, their staff is seriously wonderful! They promise to take care of you, and seven years later they are still holding up that promise! I highly recommend David Gardner's.

Recently purchased an engagement ring from David Gardner's and want to brag about my experience. First and foremost, Katie was simply the best. We started the process of picking out a ring in January. it started off very simple, but my girlfriend (soon to be fiance) and I realized we didn't know what we wanted. After 4 ring changes and 8 months of deliberation, we finally decided on a ring, and it is STUNNING. I do not know where to start because I cannot say enough good things about David Gardner's Jewelers! I hope my story will help show that this company cares about their customers and will go the extra mile to help ensure you get exactly what you are searching for. My story begins 10 days before I was planning to propose to my girlfriend. I had been working with a large jeweler for two months to design what I hoped would be the perfect engagement ring. When I called to confirm the ring would be ready for the big event, the other jeweler told me they would need 3 more weeks to complete the ring. In a panic, I called my brother in law who urged that I talk to David Gardner’s Jewelers. I agreed and had an appointment set up for Saturday - 7 days before I was planning to propose. When we arrived the next day (BIL and me), David Gardner and Wendy we’re there to greet us. I explained the situation and they assured me that they could have the ring made and ready in time for our engagement. The ring was a fully custom design, so we spent the next three hours talking through the design, metal (type, color and carat) and diamonds. Wendy was great throughout the entire process - she listened intently to ensure she knew the exact design I was looking for, she was very patient despite all my questions and she provided great advice to ensure I stayed within my budget. Throughout the next 7 days, Wendy was great to communicate with me on the status of the ring and reconfirming that they were still on schedule. Fast forward to Friday, the day before the big proposal and 6 days after I first walked into David Gardner’s Jewelers, Wendy to called me to let me know that the ring was ready for me to pick up. The finished product was perfect and looked identical to the ring I had described during our initial meeting. Six days from initial meeting to completion of the ring, and they absolutely nailed it! If you are in the market for a quality price of jewelry, you should walk into David Gardner’s Jewelers and ask for Wendy because I know they will wow you with their personal customer service and quality work. I know they have wowed me and will have my business for years to come!

Very good staff and also David Gardner supports many local charities. I have bought jewelry there and for some odd reason I brought my 5 yrs olds with me. He gave them ring pops since mommy was getting a bracelet. Really nice and helpful

Fred and the team at New York Jewelers have been nothing but the best. I brought an antique ring in to be worked on and they gave me a straightforward, honest assessment that if they took the chipped stones out, it would be likely they wouldn’t be able to get them back in again successfully. Instead they cleaned the ring up and made it look fantastic again. The team was also able to craft two custom bands to go around the antique ring, shaped to fit the square perfectly. They also added some embellishment into the metalwork on the side to keep things matching, blending the new with the old. Both rings turned out great and were absolutely fairly priced. I will continue to shop here for all of my jewelry needs.

Sold a watch there. The entire experience was great. Spoke to Jimmy on the phone initially who was incredibly nice and helpful. He was not working once I went in, but Mike and Steve were also incredibly nice and made the whole process very easy and what they paid was very fair. I’ve had an unbelievable experience with NY Jewelers! Simon was very helpful in helping me decide what to choose! He was very friendly and knowledgeable and even offered to send me photos on wrist of the bracelet that I wanted that has a similar wrist size! Incredible experience! Best of all, they are operating east coast time and i concluded the order around 1pm Pacific time (i live in LA), and literally the next morning, 9.34am to be exact, the bracelet is already in my possession! Beautiful watch, great restoration to like-new condition. I got lucky and it fit my wrist perfectly. Fair price. I would have liked to have gotten the TH factory box and tags, but appreciate your fancy store box. I avoided Ebay and looked for a factory authorized store and it was a wise move. The free overnight shipment sweetened the deal.
