**** AVOID **** Do yourself a favor and skip this one. Construction everywhere all the time, loud noises, no adequate AC during the summer, dust everywhere. Our apartment, along with the rest of the building, have had their units cut in more than half. We’re reduced to living out of our bedroom (least amount of construction there). If you do consider, make sure to ask about any construction plans. Management, I’ve contacted you via alternate methods and am pending your reply.

AVOID! Don't live here! Follow my advice and you'll thank me later. Completed in 1972, the massive building is 50 years old, so many of the facilities need constant repairs. People at the front desk are very nice, especially some gentlemen will say “welcome come home my friend”, which makes me feel very warm. To be honest, the maintenance and cleaning staffs are very conscientious, they are quite dedicated, thank them a lot. Mail room is a mess. Sometimes they can't find your package on time. When you come back later, problem solved. Kindly reminder that email for incoming packages did not work all the time, you need to keep an eye on that. Besides, constant need for repairs to this building is horrific; Occupants receive notifications from time to time that the elevators need repairs. Poor few elevators have huge pressure to ease the flow of people. Swimming pool had been closed since the end of February this year. They said it was supposed to be updated at the end of April, but it was completed in early June. Well, another thing I don't understand is why they have to change the pipelines of AC in summer. With heat wave, you have NO cool AC in nearly 100F weather!!! In order to relief this situation, a small air conditioner set up is meaningless though. It barely helps. What is even more frustrating is that the “out pipe” aka a cheap plastic pipe blowing out the hot air is easy to break. Construction, construction, construction! Construction everywhere. Though people are nice, I have to leave this “home” right now.

Doors to access elevators have not been fixed for months now. What was supposed to be a security feature of the building no longer exists with the easy access to tenant elevators. We were also charged a fee for a service we never requested or received, and when we spoke to management, although there was no proof of us using the service, the fee has not been removed from our account. What was once a competently run building seems to be going downhill.

It was so easy to do the showings in the apartment and getting the lease ready. We moved in and everything was upto the mark. Neat, clean with a great view. I loved the apartment. Even the maintenance guys were so quick in resolving the issues. Management always ready to be on call with us.

Like everyone says, God forbid something happen to you. Lawyer Up or have a buddy that does it. They will leave you in 90 - 100 degree internal weather AND still try to not compensate you. The pipes also bursted in my apartment! THEY ACTIVELY TRIED TO NOT COMPENSATE BUT COMPENSATED MY NEIGHBORS?! We just received our letter that they will not even allow us to upgrade - all for what? When I spoke to my lawyer, he told me that you should call them as SOON as the problem starts. I did not try to pursue the first time and when i did the second time for the burst pipes it wasn't till a week later simply from inexperience. Best advice: Avoid them, if not, buy insurance not through them since it only covers their building and not your personal items, and lawyer up ASAP when something goes wrong. The only nice person there is Whitney and she should be promoted. Everyone else doesn't care and are constantly put in the position of "nothing i can do". I have 1 month left my lawyer told me it was not worth it given length of my lease ( water pipes bursted 4 days before New Years day, and they went on break leaving me homeless for 4 days). UPDATE: I emailed them and they didn’t respond and Natalie is to blame for everything. A community manager who doesn’t know anything about community, she’s just a guard cop , and her team is afraid of her. SMH

Wow is management embarrassingly horrible here. They will charge for you for anything and everything under the sun. At this rate I should be charging this building rent for the amount of cockroaches living rent free and for the horrible smell of trash 24/7. I would like to applaud them for the nice building staff outside of management. The elevator managed to break one day while I was in it and dropped several floors! I called to inform them I was stuck and needed help and was met with a woman on the elevator intercom system not conceded whatsoever with how I was doing. 15 minutes went by and finally I was let out on a random floor where I had to take the step 20 flights down because I was so scared. I called management and they DID NOT CARE at all at the lack of training the staff had in that instance. Our AC was not turned on for months. They finally turned it on when people started complaining about how hot it was for their kids and dogs. My dog almost had a heat stroke and was almost taken to the emergency vet! Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this building ESPECIALLY IN THE SUMMER.

The tour was great as I was looking forward to nice gym and use of amenities. The apartment looked okay by my standards. Once I moved in, safety became a concern as my car was broken into in the secured parking lot that is available to the residents for a fee. After being broken into, I asked the front desk if they had cameras. They told me the cameras had been down for weeks. I asked Arrive’s manager / rep about it and she told me it was only for a couple days. They weren’t confident about there being a camera in the basement that has a door entering the parking garage. The enclosed indoor garage is open to the public too so it seemed to me a safety concern of sharing a door to the basement. The noise levels of my neighbor makes it seem the building wasn’t built with insulation. I can hear my neighbor’s alarm go off in the morning and all phone conversations (again little to no noise barrier). It can be tough to go to sleep at night and get woken up to a phone conversation. I have problems when the heater is on with coughing. I wake up in the middle of the night coughing. My girlfriend doesn’t. Haven’t figured out why as I don’t have the problem when the heater is off. Haven’t had that problem any other place I’ve lived. The mailroom tenants where you pick up packages can sometimes take very long breaks where you’re waiting for 20 minutes for a package. They leave signs up saying they will be back in 5 minutes. Wish they gave a more accurate time they would be back. Elevators are noisy and shake like they need new rollers. Overall amenities are nice, staff are friendly, but if the apartment quality and safety are of concern, this is not the place for you.

Building windows haven’t been washed in months. Dog owners allow their dogs to urinate on the steps to the deck which is not just smelly but very unhygienic. Maintenance crews are fantastic and prompt. Nice deck, gym, pool and other facilities. Overall a good place to live at.

Hi! So, I moved here in April and feel like since it’s almost 4 months now that I can give a review. Will update if needed. I really love the location, the amenities, and my apartment. The laundry room machines have always worked in my experiences too. The Managment team also hosts fun events sometimes, and I like the mental health notes they add to the elevator. I also think that all the employees I have interacted with in the building are very kind and productive. They are all respectful, polite, and very helpful. I think my apartment is well priced given the market and other apartments in the area. I haven’t had any issues with cockroaches, smelling trash, or construction. I think the first two issues may depend on the floor you are on. I’m on the 28th. However, I did read the construction reviews and made sure to tell the leasing agent that I wanted to confirm that the apartment available will not have any construction done during the lease dates. So, she confirmed and I signed the lease. I am extremely terrified of having construction done in my apartment though because it looks unlivable from what I have seen. I feel like that is unethical too. I work from home too 2-3 days out of the week. Luckily, my experiences living here have been good. For cons - the receiving room seems to always be open 2-3 hours after it’s scheduled to be open. The elevator has stopped working two times since being here - both the Managment never sent communications on. I feel like they need to notify residents on that. For one of the times, I had to walk down all 28 floors. My shower does get plugged often though and seems to not get fix when I request maintenance support. I do agree with some of the reviews that they don’t update the temperature fast enough. I have been fine with the air conditioning working for this summer heat as I think my apartment stays a bit cooler, but the problem is when it starts getting cold and they don’t turn the heat on. I think that issue is hard to solve though because I remember when my apartment went down to 58/60 for two painful days being a corner apartment, but others said their apartments (not corner ones) were still warm and they were hot. Also, most of the apartments gyms around here (and my last one) are open 24/7, so it is really aggravating that the gym closes at 11pm. I work very late sometimes and then have classes afterwards, so by the time I get home it’s already 11 and then I want to go to the gym but can’t because it’s closes too early. I don’t feel safe walking or running that late. Also, you might have to get black out blinds over your blinds. For me so far, I think the positives have outweigh the cons. It’s a relatively new management team, and they seem to be doing their best from my perspective (but I haven’t experienced the construction so don’t want to gaslight anyone). I would renew if my rent stays relatively the same. I am worried since my friend said her renewal cost her I believe $400 more a month, which is a huge rent increase to me. My utilities bills also aren’t high so I hope it stays that way.

Obviously this place has some issues that most of the reviews have expressed, but I want to give a hands up to management for being helpful for what they have to deal with. The construction isn’t ideal but Im sure that’s per city regulations. Maintenance and reception and everyone in management does a good job with what they’re able to do. The amenities and location are perfect and that’s what I love about this complex. Want to give a hands up to Jenny in management for being super helpful numerous times when we’ve had issues and questions!

I've been living at Arrive Streetervile for two and a half months now, so I can post a reliable review. It's been a great experience so far. Lindsay and Priscilia have been fantastic with my moving and settling in experience. They have been responsive to any request or question. The building has been rennovated and possesses great amenities plus the management team does a great job on keeping things functioning well. I definitely recommend it. Enrique Valdes

My boyfriend lives there and his car got broken into in the enclosed garage that is separate from the building but connected to it so people in the garage, which is open for public use, can access the building. It seems like an unsafe place to live and made me nervous when I visited him. Quality of apartment was poor as upon us moving him in his dish washer was broken and had food remnants in it. At night we can clearly hear his neighbor whose bedroom shares a wall with ours. We can hear phone conversations, coughs, and quietly played television as well as morning alarms you would think proper insulation would prevent. The heat and AC aren't the greatest as you can't change the temperature. Amenities are wonderful, but quality of apartment is poor and not worth the price tag if you size up against other apartments in the area.

For a streeterville luxury building you really can't beat it. Lived here 2 going on 3 years now. Our unit is absolutely amazing and our views are insane. Can see the sears tower, navy pier, the lake, and river since we're on a corner. I was worried they would jump our rent up being in such a sought after unit but it only went up less than $100. For the price, size, location, and amenities (7/11 access) this is a great place to live.

All good, very smooth process! Clean house, friendly staff. I do prefer receiving updates on the moving / screening document needs through text instead of voice mail, I realized. Having the option to do so would be a cherry on top.
