I was travelling for work and needed someone to help my mother. I thought that it was easy to sign up. I thought the fees were comparable to everyone else, but the quality was way better. All the people on the phone were excellent, and my mom really liked the caregiver. The caregiver helped my mom do most things by herself. They helped her with the shower and provided support for her. My mom is really friendly and the caregiver was the same way. The office made it simple to do the schedule, and they were flexible with my traveling. It’s so nice to know that your Mom is safe when you can’t be there and there is someone like Bright Star to help you.

Although I didn't choose BrightStar Care, the VA selected the agency and told us they provided great service. We were hesitant at first but found they are reliable, accessible, and they have really good, quality people. Having the aide lets me run errands because it makes it easier for me to leave my husband and I don’t need to worry about his safety. Our aide is attentive and she converses with Thomas and he get to tell his stories. My husband does not like to be pushed into doing things, so she is quiet and calm with him. She is especially able to encourage things that he doesn't want to do, like exercises. She is able to convince him into doing them and makes it fun for him. The entire office staff, especially Julie and Scott are very proactive. They call me first before I call them and are always checking to see if the services are going well. We are very pleasantly surprised and more than pleased with the care we get.

Worked here for almost 3yrs. When first hired I worked for 8 months straight until my client passed away, when I spoke to the owner about getting a new client he became upset and angry when I said that I could not work overnight or as a live in. He said I was not being flexible with my schedule, I didn't get a new client for 8 months. When I did get a new client I shared shifts with 3 other girls. The owner clearly has no medical knowledge because he knowingly allowed another girl to work with my client several times when she was severely ill and once with pink eye! Pink eye is highly contagious and I returned the next day to find that my client had caught the pink eye! The owner of this franchise doesn't care about his clients or his employees. He also charges clients something like $27/hr but only pays employees $11.50/hr, with no raises!

BrightStar was recommended to us when our sister was being discharged from a rehabilitation facility. They were very quick to respond to our needs and met with us within a couple of hours. The caregiver they provide is excellent, loving and very compassionate. She helps our sister with her daily care, dressing her, and they know how to redirect her when help is needed. We’re very pleased with the office staff as they respond to our needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We had the objective of having our mom stay in the home. We felt the most comfortable with the BrightStar team that came into the home and did an assessment. We like that we have one dedicated person to care for my mom. She is timely. The care she provides is top-notch, and she works very consistently on the activities laid out for my mom. This person has experience in working with older folks with dementia. BrightStar was very responsive to what we were looking for in terms of skill level and having one person. The office is very clear, on point, and responsive if we have a schedule change. They make sure that the changes are made accurately.

The office reached out to me and asked me to write a review of them. They’ve taken care of my Mom for almost 5 years now so I probably can offer some good insights. I would explain to others how well my mother has been taken care of around the clock by BrightStar Care, I could explain in detail about how thorough they are. The caregivers from BrightStar Care recognize what needs to be done, are punctual, pleasant, and no one in the family has ever found them lacking. I can tell the caregivers are well matched with my mother because she is happy, content, and is not stressed. The office calls me or my sisters to check on things but they really don’t need to do that because the caregivers are so attentive to my Mom. I like that my Mom’s caregivers say that they are treated so well, too. It says a lot about BrightStar Care.

They really care about their patients, and they make an effort in selecting someone. I like that a couple of them are the same age as my son. There was one time where they could not send anyone, so the boss or supervisor came in their place. They make it their business to call and let me know if they are running late or what time they will be there. They are always good in my book. They are respectful when they come into my house, and they do a good job. My son is not verbal, but he understands. They hold a conversation with him, and I like that. The office staff comes in and checks on my son and the caregiver. If something is going on, then they always let me know. I am satisfied with them. They always ask how they can do better but they are doing fine, and there is nothing for them to improve on.

BrightStar Care team members Tiffany and Lewanda really impressed me at the intake visit. My mom and I were reeling from some unexpected health updates which prompted us to explore caregiving options. Not only did Tiffany and Lewanda present BrightStar in the most professional way possible, they answered all of our questions with empathy, patience and support. They gave us the confidence to move forward with using BrightStar for our caregiving needs.

Life threw me a curveball and my simple surgery ended up having complications so for a few weeks I needed care. The hospital suggested to call BrightStar and they answered my call promptly. They came out for an evaluation very quickly, they were professional, and they are very helpful. They know the business, and they answered my questions. They are responsible, reliable, and they listened to what I want. My caregivers were very focused on the tasks. At times I had them go to the store with me and they made great suggestions on things to help me out. They all kept asking what else they could do for me. They are good people, and the case manager who I had most of the contact with was very helpful. She is very nice. They even called after services stopped just to check on me and I liked that.

I enjoyed my visit here. It was really fun and the horses are friendly! The staff is very helpful and they tell you how to control(turn) the horse. The staff is also very friendly and kind. I would highly recommend this place.

I came in today so excited to do a trail ride, but an unprofessional staff member made my experience less than desirable. I believe her name was bri. I watched her rudely yell at kids who I believe were volunteering. I would never come back if I was in those kids shoes. It’s free child labor and the kids are doing it for fun. Just to be around animals that they don’t see on a everyday basis. Nobody seemed to want to be there besides the lady in the office who seemed so sweet. The trail rides were fun but I still will never recommend this facility to someone looking to be around horses and to volunteer. Better staff training would really help future volunteers experience. However our trail guide Katie was so nice and understanding of my lack of experience, the farm should have more people like her there. If zero stars was an option I would have chose it. I hope to never see an interaction like that again if I do happen to return.

I am totally blind, so it actually has quite a big impact. They cook for me, wash my clothes, keep my house clean, and help me with anything out of the ordinary. If it is medical, and they think I need to see someone about it, they will ask me if anything is wrong. That kind of care is excellent. I like the quality of their employees and their ability to follow up on any kind of problems that may arise. Everyone from Gary all the way down to the nurses, Toya and Julie, are all very responsive. They work with me. They try their best to rectify any discomfort that may come up. For example, if a CNA has to take off for a few days, they will send backup.

BrightStar was given to me because of a work injury. For about a month, I needed a wound cared for and they assigned Robin to be my nurse because I couldn’t change my own bandages. When she came to my home, she told me what she was going to do, why she was doing it and how she was going to do it and then she just did it. She was very informative. I really like Robin because she is very kind and honest. My wounds got better and I was able to change my own bandages so I didn’t need them anymore but they were really good.

My Mom has been with BrightStar for over 2 years. She’s 98 and I honestly think her caregivers are what keeps her going. They are very patient with her even though she can have her “moments.” Like any personal service business there are occasional blips but the office team fixes them before I even know there was a problem and they are extremely responsive. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing that my Mom can be in her life time home, happy and well cared for. I can’t say enough good things about Gary, Amy, Scott, Yas, Brittish and the entire team that provides such wonderful care.

I’ve been a BrightStar client for over 4 years now and I am probably one of their more unusual clients. They do infusions for me and because I work full time during the day, they do my infusions overnight. For the entire time, Robin has taken care of me. She comes when I’m going to bed, starts my treatment and then stays with me throughout the night and although I know she checks on me all the time, I’m so comfortable with Robin that I sleep through the night. Who provides that kind of service these days? I also like Scott in the office. He is so nice when he calls to schedule my treatments and he makes me smile. Robin and Scott are my team and they are so good to me. I’m thankful that my doctor recommended BrightStar and I’m so thankful for Robin and Scott.

Horrible, horrible place. They take your business and promise you they can take care of your needs. When they cannot provide the required help they make up lies and than drop you. Do not use this agency they are very misleading and do not hire people with the knowledge for this job.

Yesterday I went with my friends and the place had looked a bit abandoned and sketchy at first and had bad experience with the staff. I felt as if we were being ignored when we arrived and finally when we were attended to (10minutes later) We asked for assistance and were told to go to the shed for check in. This lady I’m the shed had an attitude and was quite rude as we knocked for service. She said I heard you first time and don’t need to knock twice. How were we supposed to know behind closed window that we are going to be helped? Our tour guide was alright though. I would recommend finding a better place that is cleaner and has nicer staff.

I’ve been an employee since June 2019. Since January 1st if 2019 I was working at the bright Star in Orland park. And I have to say Tinely Park is literally the best place to work at! Simply because they actually care about their employees and they are very understanding! Working at the one in Orland Park I came across a situation where my purse was stolen at an event and my car was stolen as well and I didn’t have a way to contact them besides sending a email letting them know I didn’t have a way to work. I didn’t do a no call no show because that is known as client abandonment which will result in losing your license. However they weren’t understanding of the situation and I was let go. Tinley Park is totally different, everyone from Scott, Amy and Julie are the nicest people to work with and again they are understanding. They would never force you to go somewhere that would make you feel uncomfortable . The only downfall about working for the company in general is the inconsistent hours but it’s expected within this type of field. I love being an employee here and I love everyone in the office !

BrightStar takes care of my daughter and I really love the care that she has. Our nurse Sara has been really patient, and she is very kind, too. Sara takes her time and talks to my daughter. Sara is open and honest and answers my daughter’s questions. She talks with her, not at her. With my daughter’s condition, we were very worried about COVID and anyone coming into our house. BrightStar provided Sara with the equipment to keep us all safe. They really care about everyone’s safety. Scott in the office is really good too. He schedules everything and is always asking what else they can do for us. It’s comforting to know that people like Sara and Scott are there for my daughter and me.

Avoid at all cost! The pony rides are a joke, the “ponies” are old and tired. The “Petting Zoo” is non-existent because it’s an enclosed space full of unkept animals.

Our mother has a really advanced case of dementia and we knew that we needed help to keep her safe at home. BrightStar was recommend to us by a social worker because of their experience working with dementia clients and their families. Mom’s team of caregivers are all good about handling my mother. She needs a lot of assistance getting in and out of the bathroom, and they help her take a bath. They give my dad and brother a break to do other things around the house while they are taking care of my mother. The office team is great, and we can call or email them 24 hours a day. When a caregiver can't make it or is going to be late, they are able to get a replacement within an hour.

Really love this place! The horses are beautiful and the people are well experienced and truly know the animals. You can tell they are really passionate about what they do. They match you with a horse to your body size and take you on a trail of different elevations and shade. Would definitely recommend coming here, it is a great adventure :)

BrightStar has been caring for my brother for about a year now. His team is helpful and he gets along with the ladies very well, almost as if they were a sister. The nurse comes out to reassess our needs regularly and will clarify what is going on and make his medical condition easier to understand. I like their rules and regulations about making their workers do the job well and they call us to make sure everything is going good. They do everything we ask them to do and it’s great that everything is on a list for his caregivers. If he forgets to take a shower they remind him when he's supposed to take one. They always seem to say the right things to help him stay safe. I'm confident they're doing a good job and it a good feeling to know that your loved one is in good hands with BrightStar.

Darius has been taking care of my father who has Alzheimer’s for the last couple of months. He talks to my father & listen to him. He is always cheerful and takes my dad for walks. He make sure that my dad has a shower and he cooks breakfast for him, which helps out my mother. In the four hours that he’s there, he is most productive with his time. My mother was not feeling well and had to cancel with Darius on a Thursday. Which was the last day of the week for him to work. The next morning Darius showed up to give my father a shower & breakfast. He was not scheduled to come in. He knew my mother was not feeling well and took it upon himself to help in anyway. Thank you Brightstar for having a compassionate caregiver on you team!

It’s a very nice, friendly farm with beautiful and well-groomed and loved horses. The only thing was the tour was not as scenic as I had hoped. Most of the time you can see and hear cars on the very busy roads surrounding the farm, which took away from the experience. I would absolutely visit again because their prices are very fair and it’s still a fun activity. Please bring cash to tip your tour guide!

Took our daughter to ride pony for the first time ever she’s only 2. staff member at the front window & who initially gave us the pony were very ignorant & rude didn’t give help or directions on where we could take her luckily I’ve rode horses all my life so i knew how to handle the pony. The only reason why i gave any stars because my daughter enjoyed her ride & a different lady staff member came out to be some sort of assistance that was more friendly.

We had a lovely trail ride- the receptionist and staff were very friendly and the trail guide was great! It was our first time riding in Illinois and the trail was beautiful once you got past the first few minutes of riding next to the adjacent street. *Make sure to bring a cash tip for the guide. Only cons: bathroom- don’t use it unless and emergency. Also booking over the phone was required and you had to give a credit card number.

Brightstar in tinley don't pay much only 15.00 an hour. Smhh......no matter how many years of experience you have. I looked at my acceptance letter and saw 15 bucks I knew this was not going to work!! I moved on that following week!! Overall it's good for people who are just starting to work and putting experience on your belt.

I just want to take a moment and let you know just how happy (....and impressed) my family has been with the efforts of your staff to make it to work, looking after my mom (...and my dad indirectly) over these past several days of bad weather in Chicago. Starting with Wirny on Friday, January 12th during that big snowfall, Saturday and Sunday with DeArcy, when the temps dropped to single digits and of course Danisha, Monday thru Thursdays. The extra effort they showed getting to work(ON TIME) in those horrible conditions is greatly appreciated. I realize it's their job, however sometimes just doing your job deserves recognition!

As a Director at Franciscan Home Health, I needed to arrange an immediate caregiver for a patient that suffered complications after a surgical procedure. I called after hours on a Friday night of the Labor Day weekend. The on call person at Brightstar informed me that due to the holiday weekend and late notice, the likelihood of finding a caregiver was grim. However, she sensed my urgency, and contacted the owner. The owner was gracious enough to find me a caregiver by the next morning. This patient was now able to make it home in time before his family left town. Those two days of being able to be at home instead of staying at the hospital allowed for the family to assist patient in making some serious decisions regarding his healthcare and prognosis. I am forever grateful to Brightstar for assisting this family at last minute notice on a holiday weekend. My patient adored his caregiver Ramaya and extended his contract with Brightstar for long term. Thank you again for everything that you did!

As someone who has been in healthcare for the majority of my career, this agency is simply the best. They care about their clients and employees, always putting them first. During COVID they went to extremes to protect everyone and sourced PPE from 5 different continents, all while keeping their rates the same and providing incentives to their team.

The kids had a ball!! The prices were very fair, and the employees were very helpful and informative. My three year old is fairly small, and wanted to feed the horses, the gentleman that was working in the stables went out his way to find her big pieces of fruits and veggies like apples and carrots, so the horses couldn't bite her tiny hands!

Great place to go with family and friends. They have a great trail ride, petting zoo, pony rides. The staff is amazing. They offer lessons also. All the instructors are very knowledgeable. They have different party packages on and off property. The animals are very well cared for. Once the stay home order is lifted I suggest going there and enjoying a great family day. Call the office for hours and pricing. Great prices around. Other places charge too much and do not offer half of what they do at Forestview farms. They offer free compost for gardens if you want it. There is a $5 charge if they use a tractor to load it into a truck bed but you can load yourself for free if you just need a few buckets of it. They also offer delivery for a small fee. Just have to call the office and set something up. Highly recommend this place.

Sekaya had the shift prior to and following David's death. Despite not having this experience before, she was very attentive to monitor his pain and his breathing. She followed her supervisors instructions to continue oxygen and monitoring until the hospice nurse arrived. She was a champ through a difficult first time experience. She was also very attentive to my husband and I as we waited for hospice and the funeral home, engaging us in sharing some memories of David that brought us comfort.

My 102 year mother fell and broke her hip. She is in Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn Illinois. We contacted Bright Star Tinley Park for someone to be with her from 8 PM to 8 AM. They were wonderful and reacted very quickly. Peggy Sue Munday was our contact person. She took all the info and sent a person to Christ Hospital to assess what would be best for mom. This was done very quickly. Within 2 days mom, who I might add is a very critical person, loved the 2 girls, Jada and Briana that were assigned to her. They were very attentive, caring and kind to her. I would highly recommend both of them. Also their office manager Bianca was very helpful when mom is transferred to the Rehab Center. This is my first experience with bright Star Tinley Park, IL and it has been a very positive experience

We used BrightStar for a year and a half. Ebony took great care of my mom the whole time. She was always professional, dependable, flexible, patient and caring. My mom could be difficult at times and Ebony was able to handle it gracefully. It gave us great comfort knowing my mom was safe and well cared for.

Monday Johnson took care of my husband today. She was on time, communicated with me and my husband to ensure that he received the best care. She prepared his food and gave him a bed bath. I highly recommend her for future services.

Many thanks to caregiver Jacquelyn who has been wonderful with my mom and has gone above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable and calm during every visit. Jackie also stayed for extra time to assist us when we needed help. That meant so much to me and my mom that she cared so much to help us out. Thank you Jackie!

We previously had worked with two other home care agencies with which we were not pleased. So, it was with trepidation that we invited BrightStar Care into my mother's home to assist with her care as her journey on this earth was coming to a close. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff is well trained. Care was provided in a timely, efficient and caring manner. We would like to extend our thanks to Candace, Kara and especially Harsha for the kindness and respect they showed our mother.
