It was a wonderful diving experience with Jenya. She was a very friendly guide and led us professionally. Me and my wife had a great time thanks to Vietnam Active! We would like to visit this diving center again if we go to Nha Trang.

After seeing so many good reviews about Vietnam Active, we decided to contact them to dive during our stay in Nha Trang - what a decision that was! From our initial contact with the dive centre, we received regular communication with the dive centre and our diving instructor, Max. I had previously completed my diving license and was planning on diving for fun at the same time my wife was completing her Padi. Max recommended a refresher course for myself which I definitely needed before going in the water. He was amazing, teaching and refreshing my skills at the same time as taking my wife though her course. His English was fantastic, his explanations were very thorough and we couldn’t of asked for anything more from a diving instructor. After some work in the pool, we then went out to sea on a fantastic boat, with excellent food. Staff were all amazing. Max then took us on four dive pushing us both and making our dive experience perfect. Although the diving experience was exhilarating for us both, most importantly Max made our time with Vietnam Active FUN! Max became our friend over the few days and we even shared tea and a few beers when the course was over, taking us to a fantastic burger restaurant. He has even remained in contact once we left Nha Trang! We would highly recommend Max, at Vietnam Active, if you’re looking to go diving in Nha Trang!

I had a wonderful experience diving with Hieu! He was very attentive, made sure that I had a quick refresher since it had been 5 years since I had last done it. He was by my side the entire time. He had a great eye for seeing the marine life, we even saw an octopus which was camouflaged as a rock! Lunch was great! Overall great experience. I was picked up from the store and brought back to my home! Thank you for such an incredible experience.

We had an amazing beginners dive course; felt very safe and well sought after the entire trip. Was extremely convenient because they picked us up right at our hotel and dropped us back off. Equipment was good, instructors very kind and experienced and photos were great. Value for money unbeatable, would recommend to anyone looking into diving in Vietnam. 10/10. thanks again, guys! 👍🏻

Dived with Andy and Tom on 21st May 2022, and it was a really cool diving experience. Andy and Tom took very good care of us, and took very nice photos for us. Extremely worth the experience, and we enjoyed it thoroughly! If you go to Nha Trang, you must visit them for the diving tour.

For someone who was diving for the first time and doesn't know how to swim, it was an experience of a lifetime, specially when you had Andy and Danh as your instructors. Each instruction was crystal clear and made my day. Highly recommended if you are staying in Nha Trang. Also as a bonus, me being a vegeterian, the food that was provided on the cruise was gold quality.

This September 2022, I visited Vietnam for my birthday. My experience was the greatest I've ever had. On my birthday, I wanted to try scuba diving, so I made a reservation with Vietnam Active. I had some concerns because I didn't know the folks and wasn't sure if it was safe to make the advance payment, but it turned out that I was in good hands. So, I just travelled to Nha Trang from Ho Chi Minh for the purpose of scuba diving, and I left as soon as I landed there. The staff at VIETNAM ACTIVE is welcoming and professional, and the instructors were fantastic. I struggled with motion sickness, didn't know how to swim, and was a little hesitant to enter the water. But as soon as they got to know it was my first time scuba diving, particularly on my birthday, they made sure it was the finest possible experience. The first dive turned out to be the best one because I took the instructions very seriously and concentrated only on three things. Because of this, I booked two dives with them, and the second time I felt like a pro. They hold PADI credentials. Thanks to Vietnam Active, I had the nicest birthday ever. The best person I met in Vietnam is Bao Tram. Although I was having other problems at the time, she still assisted me in scheduling my scuba trip and made sure it was the best experience possible. She is like a friend in need. I missed my bus had no place to stay she made sure I am safe asked somebody to help me find and also booked my flight tickets. In today's world where people are busy you don't expect them to be available. I made a friend for life. I would surely visit Vietnam again for scuba experience. We booked this snorkeling tour after having a bad experience with another tour operator. Vietnam Active team was amazing! They picked us up from our hotel on time, we then took a slow boat to the diving and snorkeling location. The tour and guides were super organized and very friendly! What a team! Even though we signed up for snorkeling we decided to upgrade to diving after realizing that it’s easy to do. We were able to do that and the crew explained the key concepts of diving and guided us along. The masks and all other equipment are high quality and we could see well under water. I was also able to pay with a touch card (pay wave) on board for the upgrade. Breakfast included coffee, water and some fruits. Lunch had both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Was very nice. Amazing crew spoke English, Russian, French and German. Would highly recommend this tour to couples, friends and all other groups!

I just returned from an amazing dive trip with Vietnam Active. As a novice diver Andy was an excellent instructor personally looking after my safety in the water and explaining everything in a way that made me feel comfortable like I had been diving for years. Lovely classic wooden boat, 2 great dives, beautiful coral and tropical fish, nice lunch and fruits, photos of your dive, hotel pickup and drop off, what more could you ask for! We had a great day scuba diving with the Vietnam Active team. They picked us up from our accomodation and took us straight to the boat. We received a debrief of how to use the diving gear and before long we were in the water. Efficient guides, nice dive sites and simple lunch. Photos cost extra. Nice day out in Nha Trang!

So this review is about the actual diving and not a direct reflection on the operator or the staff. Both of these were reasonably good. The boat and the dive gear were well used, but still sufficient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the quality of diving was horrible. When I tried to investigate diving in this area, I found very little information about the actual quality of diving so I hope this review is found by experienced divers so they know what to expect. The environmental devastation is apparent as soon as you enter the water. The clarity is very poor, there is trash in the water and along the shorelines, the reef is mostly dead and the sea life is almost non-existent. It is not clear if this if from poorly regulated diesel boats, over tourism, overfishing or runoff from the city and resorts, but the resultant environmental devastation is blatantly apparent. Maybe this is localised to the two dive sites I visited (Madonna Rock and Dam Bay), but I strongly doubt that and I feel like this may also be the case at other major dive locations around Vietnam. In the future I will be staying away from diving in Vietnam as I feel like I am part of the problem by adding to the over tourism and environmental damage that is occuring.

Did my open water diver here. I was assigned to a very experienced instructor who took care of me on all our dives and taught me all the necessary skills on consecutive days. During the cruises to the diving sites we were provided with fruits, cookies and drinks. After the second dive we also got a rich lunch on the boat and were able to relax on the rooftop. All in all you will have a nice experience here and the price was very reasonable. The diving school also has very high quality equipment that they import from Germany. Greetings to Huy!

Thank you Vietnam Active! My experience with Vietnam Active are exceeded all my expectations. Equipment provided are all in good quality and condition. I did my Open Water on October and came back again on November to do my Advance Open Water and couple of Fun Dive. Maxim was an excellent and very responsible Instructor, he took time to answer all my questions throughout the courses. I will definitely come back for more Fun Dive with you guys!

Amazing experience! We had Trinh show us everything we needed to know about diving. It was my first time diving and i was panicking underwater, but Trinh went above and beyond to calm me down and make my experience enjoyable. Truly amazed at this tour!

We had a fabulous time with DUOC and the team - they turned up on time gave us a great experience and the lunch was amazing with plenty for everyone. Would thoroughly recommend if you want to go snorkelling. Completely safe for beginners.

A lovely day of diving with Giau!! Vietnam Active are super easy to organising a dive with, all you have to do is message on WhatsApp, fill in a form and then the day before they’ll give you a pick up time! I was slightly nervous as we have dove in a few spots in Indonesia with a huge range of marine life and amazing conditions; we have heard that there isn’t masses to see in Nha Trang’s sea and low visibility. We were so happy and satisfied with the dives! We saw the most lion fish ever, lots of sea urchins, sea slugs in action and got to explore through rocks. The fun thing about these dives is that there isn’t huge amounts to see which means you get to take your time and get a much better look than places where you get overwhelmed with choice. Providing you stick with your guide due to visibility the conditions are perfect for newbies!! I spent lots of time practicing my buoyancy. Giau who was my dive master was great, he would often check we were okay in the water, point out cool marine life and even took photos and videos for us!! The only thing is he did touch a couple creatures however if he didn’t I would never of seen how they react in the water so it was really interesting. I also loved how there was us two rather than the usual four to one instructor even though there was others we could have buddies with. The food was lovely! There was fruit, biscuits and tea and coffee available always. Unfortunately they waited for food to be served to ask us to pay which meant by the time we could serve ourselves all the fried spring rolls were gone and the tasty beef stew was 99% gone! Also, online the website says 1,500,00k but we got charged 1,560,00k which is fine, I just would like for the website to be updated so there isn’t any confusion during payment! Make sure to pay BEFORE lunch so you don’t lose out on spring rolls!! Something I think they could improve is having a group briefing of the dives and then a debriefing with your dive master of what you saw. To conclude, I would recommend Vietnam Active as they are friendly, knowledgeable and serve a tasty lunch!

Great experience diving with Hieu and the rest of the team at Vietnam Active. Hieu was a great instructor, professional and friendly. All the equipment was in great condition and the boat was in good order. They provided pickup and drop off from my hotel. The lunch was also a nice bonus after our dives too. Overall great experience.

The dive was so much fun We went for fun dive, there were 2 dives, the second dive we could see a lot of sea urchins, corals, different types of fishes. Everything is so well organized. They pick you up on time, get there on time and finish on time.Lunch was very good and everyone is extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend Vietnam Active and would go diving again with them. Pro tip: Eat a light breakfast and if you have sea sickness carry meds. However the staff also provides meds on the boat.
