Trying to visit the botanical gardens in each city I visit and this was a really nice surprise! Much bigger than I imagined, very beautiful and unique. A nice way to spend an hour or two away from the bustle of Lisboa. Nice to take a book or journal or kiss a loved one on a garden bench!

What a wonderful botanical garden, it gives you the impression to really be in a jungle. The whole garden is covered by a wooden structure which is beautiful and really lets you enjoy the views from within the garden. The other warmer greenhouse with cacti is also quite impressive. I found the entrance tickets to be extremely well priced as this is probably one of the places I liked the most in Lisbon. An absolute 100% recommendation to escape the chaos of the city and immerse yourself in nature.

Took my mother there for her birthday. She loved it. It seems much larger than you expect. If you really love plants, highly recommended. There are multiple semi hidden caves and other features to find if you like to explore.

Entry price was around 3 euros pp (cash or card). We spent around 30 min in there but you could easily spend longer. It’s very beautiful, relaxing and calm. I would highly recommend it but it’s not very buggy or wheelchair friendly as there are lot of stairs and puddles.

What a beautiful place! One of my favourite spots in all of Lisbon. Admission fee was about 3.1€, and there is lots to see and explore. The plants are well maintained and lush. You can see plants from all around the world, and even a few fish and turtles. Will definitely return!

The best botanical garden I’ve ever been. The garden is well-maintained and had cute little bridges to walk on/ walk under. If you are wondering about a plant and want more information of it, ask an garden operator for it. They will help you with pleasure. For a 3 euro ticket you can see the magic at yourself. Great value for money.

Simply amazing 😍 Super beautiful place and very big. I would recommend a person to spend the whole day there if there's no time pressure to see other tourist attractions. This one might be more for locals to replenish their environment stock of energy as there are few forests nearby. Bring a snack and just sit in the middle of hundreds of plant species. Meditate if possible too.

A great surprise, we thought it was smaller than it really is, a beautiful place to spend some time, wandering around, ideal for taking pictures. If you are fan of plants you definitely need to go. Check for discounts and offers. A must see of Lisbon.

(Translated by Google) Estufa Fria is located in the Eduardo Sétimo park in Lisbon, next to the Marquês de Pombal. It is a space that has a diversity of very exotic plants and trees from very well treated tropical areas, being a unique space of natural beauty and for those who particularly like plants it is undoubtedly a must to visit and certainly worth it. worth it! This is a haven from the busy days in Lisbon. We went on a Sunday before 2pm during Winter and it was not busy at all. A really nice place to sit down and just relax. Lots of interesting plants from around the world with a green house section. One of the hidden gems of Lisbon.

Estuda fria (Cold Greenhouse) is a beautiful garden worth the visit. It is composed by the bigger cold greenhouse and a "sweet greenhouse" and a "hot greenhouse". Beside the plans you can see a lot of birds, ponds with fish and tortoises. Entrance is cheap but on Sundays mornings is free. Easy to park and to get there by public transport. Good visit for families.

Huge, enclosed and shaded botanical park with plethora of tropical trees, shrubs and flowers. Scattered ponds with fish and small wandering birds add to the woodland vibes. It's a relief from scorching August sun as it's much cooler than outside. There are few sections connected with roads, one of them houses cacti species. Highly recommend.

(Translated by Google) Excellent space to visit with family or even individual. It is easy to access and with very accessible parking. I believe that if you choose to go by public transport it is also in fact accessible because it is right in the center of Lisbon next to the marquis of pombal. I suggest that you treat the space as it really deserves to be treated. Do not throw garbage on the floor to preserve the natural beauty that exists in this greenhouse !! Great hidden gem in my opinion. It’s located near the top of the Parque Eduardo VII, which is a popular vantage point to view Liberty Ave. Allow yourself 30 mins to an hour to walk through the garden, depending on your interest in plants and mobility (there are stairs and a few steep paths). There are little surprises, like a tower and bridge, throughout the garden.

Don't walk by this garden if you are visisting Lisbon! The ticket is not expensive, the garden is very well maintained and it's not busy with tourists. There are beautiful plants everywhere and they created different spaces within the garden. I really recommend going here, also since it is a very refreshing place during hot summer days. It's also free entrance if you have the Lisbon Card.

Lovely inside jungle, quite big and very nice to look around. The paths are uneven and there are some paths with no rails and 3meter drops to the side so take care with children or people unsteady on their feet. It was cheap to get in and there is toilets.

A beautiful botanical garden hidden so cleverly in the park that we had trouble finding it. But it was worth it! Lots of plants, hidden corners to relax in, elaborate paths through the greenhouses. A place with an amazing atmosphere. One of the nicest botanical gardens we've been to.

(Translated by Google) Pleasant space to stroll only sins because it is not accessible to people with reduced mobility due to some stairs between narrow paths and also for not having well-defended routes leading people to walk a little drifting and confused. Lack of information in other languages on some plants and trees. For all these reasons I find the entry price a bit steep!

(Translated by Google) Great space in the heart of Lisbon. Wherever we look we see the green of nature and its calm. There are routes through space and we can “get lost” for the laps and time we want. Throughout the greenhouse there are traditional garden benches that invite you to stop, quick or long, before we get lost in so many species of plants. Everything is properly identified, which makes the visit even more enriching. It is worth returning again and again.

If you love botanical gardens, this place will amaze you. It is a truly massive greenhouse - several acres worth. Lots of interesting pathways and elevations. This is a much better botanical garden than the Jardim Botanico de Lisboa, which seems to be more prominent in the guidebooks.

Absolutely must stop in Lisbon for any plant or nature lover. There's something exciting to see everywhere you turn. Come on Sundays and get in for free!

  • 5/5 Alej O. 2 years ago on Google
Nice environment. A huge diversity of plants and species of trees all together in a massive greenhouse. Lots of stepping-stones taking you to little paths surrounded by ferns and plants some of tropical and subtropical origin. Very cheap just enough to spend between an hour or two if you want to seat and enjoy yourself between the green.

A nice place in the city center. You can relax and feel away from the bustling city while you enjoy the ambience.

  • 5/5 tascatastic 2 years ago on Google
Entrance €3.10. Free every Sunday before 2pm. Bigger than I remembered it being. Wonderful to have such a lovely garden in the city that can also be enjoyed on a rainy day as it is in the case that I'm writing this 🌧️😊🌿

One of the top spot that I visited in Lisbon. The quality and quantity of plants is absurd. The trails are really nice and you will forget to be in a garden. The place is really magical and it's fantastic to sit on the benchs and enjoy the wind. The staff is really nice and the ticket is cheap (3 euro, but there also reduced price ticket). There are also some nice ducks.

Very Amazing and refreshing place to enjoy the nature and greenery. Huge collection of diversed plant species. Entry fee is free if you are Lisbon resident. (On weekends until 14:00) But the tickets are cheap like 3.10 euros per person and definitely worth it.

  • 5/5 nmbilq 1 year ago on Google
Amazing place. Dozens of paths and ponds to explore on various levels, with hundreds of plant species and many birds and fish. The place is much bigger inside than you would think from outside, you will need at least an hour. Entry was €3,10 for adults or children over 6.

This was an unforgettable surprise! We were just passing by and seeing a weird jungle from the outside. We went and have a look and turns out it was open Lisbon day, which meant entrance was free (normal price is also only just around 2-3 euros I think, but still..) Really high trees and plants and when you go further, the plants become more exotic and more humid

  • 5/5 Stephen F. 11 months ago on Google
Incredible place, if you have an interest in plants/nature definitely visit here(only €3.25). It's a lovely escape from the city, enjoying a calming but stunning walk around the greenhouse. You can learn a lot about the different plants as everything was labeled
