DONT USE THIS MOTORMOME CAMP SITE A campsite that doesnt promise what they deliver. The owners dont respond to your personnel needs “e.g. their were no toilet paper in the campsite public toliet and others including myself kept asking daily , promise after promises and still nothing after 4 weeks”, they constantly tell lies to there paying customers. They dont declare their earnings to the portuguese authorities which they have advised on a few occasions which they are very proud in telling everyone and dont provide receipts when requested. We found out after talking with other campers that everyone is paying different rates, when considering we are staying at the site longer. They predict your power bill usage and over charge when debating the rate some pay 10euros per night to 15-20euros per day. During the evening we found someone disconnecting our electrical cable, the owners dog would bark throughout the entire night. causing the lack of sleep. When you try to discuss they refuse to acknowledge your response. Also they sleep in until 2pm mon - sun and its a pain in the rear end to ask for anything. The owners delete anyone personnel comments on all social media site in which they are the admin of atl least 6 social media sites, this is misleading to fellow motorhomers who really wants valid comments and reviews. We found female owner to be rudest person I have ever met. We asked for the RED COMPLAINT BOOK WHICH THEY TOTALLY REFUSE TO HAND OVER - So you cant make a complaint to the authorizes. There is so much more to write.

As the site owner, I can say that this site was conceived and built with the aim of providing a decent space, well constructed with ample facilities to offer a comfortable and safe destination for Flexible, Independent, Honest and Grounded travellers. We continue to offer an honest and pleasant service to all that visit us and will continue to do so even in the face of the occasional groundless negative comment. When a review comprises of a personal attack on us or our site based on hypocritical personal viewpoints or just dishonesty, it says more about the reviewer than it does of us. Travel safely.

Initially booked for 2 nights, stayed 6. Great owners, very welcoming and friendly. On a main road but traffic noise not really noticeable. Plus points: - great security with double entry gates and CCTV - nice cycle into Vilamoura, 2/3 of which is on a great bike path - little touches like mood lighting in trees and around site - clean shower (€1/5 mins) - weekly BBQ and open air cinema. Highly recommended!

Vilamoura Rustic - yes it is rustic with owners with a heart of gold, who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay with them. Facilities basic but absolutely fine, good hot shower. Enjoyed watching the World Cup with a good home cooked meal and great company. Thoroughly enjoyed it and we’re not football followers. If you like small, friendly sites you can’t go wrong. Easy cycle to Vilamoura, beautiful marina and van nice and secure.

Very pleasant stopover with great hosts. Well planned, good facilities with extra's. Cafe and cinema available when there are enough people interested and Gerard and Anthea are always on-hand to help should you need them. Good location to explore from and good security with easy access throughout the day makes it an ideal site. Recommend.

My husband and I needed to have some repairs done on our motorhome nearby, so we have been staying here for about 3 weeks now, and we've been most comfortable. There is a washing machine, iron and tumble dryer. There is a shower and toilets. Your motorhome is secure with two remote controlled gates if you want to go out for the day. You are not locked in, contrary to what some have said. You have access to the code to open both gates. And if you need to go out with your motorhome, this is easily and simply arranged. The gates are purely for safety, as the owners care about your property as much as they do their own. They also have a restaurant/bar, and regular functions from Portuguese food to Australian BBQ. There's even movie night and games night. We've definitely had more fun at this site than anywhere else in our 8 months in our motorhome so far!!! The owners are really lovely people. They're most welcoming, and helpful too, with local information. We must have spent hours chatting about everything with them Portuguese and motorhome related. They have extensive experience in both. Whether you are visiting the local area, having repairs done nearby, or simply passing through, we definitely recommend this aire as a safe and friendly place you can call home for a while!!

This was our second visit and stayed 3 months on this well appointed site. Nothing was too much trouble, Pizza nights, Movie nights organised over the weekends if guests wish to attend. There are also spinning classes which are well run. There are lovely walks/cycle rides in the hills behind the site and an easy route into Vilamoura Marina and Quarteira where there is a lovely prom and beach.

Great little privately owned campsite, gated, safe, secure, WiFi, ehu, toilets included, laundry and shower 1e coins. lovely hosts with good knowledge. Enjoyed our stay, delicious homemade pizza, movie night, F1night and great game of boules!

Clean and friendly with everything we need. Close to everything we need and nice facilities. Very nice owners and good value for money. Recommend.

Small and Rustic it is, felt at home as soon as we arrived in time to watch F1. The owners are really friendly and helpful. Thanks we hope to see you again.

We stayed 3 weeks and had a very nice time Anthea and Gerard run a very nice site , and help or advise you with all your needs. Anthea's pizza's and cooking also very nice. We will definately go back next year

Very nice place. The owners are lovely. Also Bobi, the dog. The toilet is a bit smelly...

Little campsite on a very busy road. The place felt very secure and the host Gerald very friendly. Facilities where very basic with what I thought was an obsessive amount of written instructions everywhere. Washing machine available and the shower cost a euro. Good restaurants with in walking distance especially Oliveras. The town of Vilamoura is with in cycling distance. Fairly empty when we were there in Jan.
