If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I have never written a review in my life but felt the need to warn others not to attend this restaurant. I ordered the cod fish with potatoes. The potatoes were as hard as concrete and the fish was as salty as the owners attitude. After I politely explained to the owner that the dish was inedible, the owner started hitting her hands together exclaiming that “this is why English people shouldn’t order Portuguese food. It’s only meant for Portuguese people”. In shock, I told her that I have had this fish many times and it has never tasted this salty. Prior to eating this, I had been swimming in the sea and had accidentally swallowed sea water which wasn’t as salty as this dish. My sister’s “sea bass fillet with a boat of champagne sauce” came wrong twice, and was so salty she had compared it to cat food. Then to my actual shock horror when the bill came, they had charged for the “complimentary” bread rolls which they put on the table at the beginning. 12.50 euros extra? The “singer” was so loud that even the waiters couldn’t hear our orders and to communicate, we would have to scream. I actually came out with a banging headache. I wish this restaurant could be on an episode of Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares as I think it would be really funny. The only thing I enjoyed about this meal was writing this review. Bill came to 160 euros and when questioned, we received another bill for 112. Not sure why they added an extra 50 euros… probably an addition charge for breathing the fresh air.

Ordered 5 meals. 1 came wrong twice. 2x salmon dishes came with two potatoes. Had raw rice. Ordered salt cod and it was more like a bit of cod added to bowl of salt. Asked to replace and manager had said this is why English people shouldn’t order this dish. Wasn’t stated on menu that this dish wasn’t for English people. Waiters didn’t have a clue what drinks were for our table. “Complimentary bread” that was added to our table is a 2.50 charge per roll so overall charge was 12.50. Didn’t even eat it and were charged. Had a “singer” shouting down the mic. Unable to even hear the person sitting opposite me. Asked for the bill and tried over charging us. After the 3rd bill it was correct. Overall bad experience, over priced food, small portions and poor from manager. Advise going elsewhere.

Pleasant bar and eatery close to the harbour. Good lunchtime snacks and great friendly service. Watch out for the bread they put on the table without asking - tell them to take it away.

This place is of course located in the marina, so expect a lot of tourists traps, loud music and noise. But as far as food goes this is exactly quite nice. The only thing is the size is the meat I got was quite disappointing, we are supposed to share 450-500g of steak for two people, but by the looks of it we barely got 350g. Also the price is quite high for the area and quality.

One of the standouts amongst the many on the marina. Been there a few times and been consistently good. Recommend booking in or out of season, as it shrinks in winter!

Great atmosphere with music, lots of plants , waiters moving about both quickly and efficiently-we found them to be very friendly and attentive! Loved the sea bass fillet cooked in foil - delicious! Bit of a wait in between courses but it was busy season and Saturday night- we loved it snd will go back. Not cheap at 90 euros for two people with bottle of wine but we had such a lovely meal - was worth it!

We visited this fantastic restaurant/bar a few times and were always very impressed with the high quality service and attention given within this establishment. The food is Very high quality and again varied menu. I can highly recommend the prawns in garlic which they very kindly de-shelled for me. Pizza 🍕 was also amazing. Fresh fish 🐟, and dessert if you have room... 🙂🙂 They also offer a variety of champagne 🍾 , cocktails and other beverages ☕ 🍸🍹🥂🥃. Will definitely be back when in Vilamoura again... what a joy!!!! Please come to Scotland 🙂🙂🥰

Usually I don't give bad reviews as I believe you must go several times in case it was just a 'bad day'. However, within 5 minutes of sitting down we had our drinks, ordered food and received pasta and pizza (how do you make food within 5 mins?). There was no time to enjoy the atmosphere and talk with our drinks. The food was warm at best and nothing special given that the prices are double that of the nearby pizzerias. Please take this opportunity to improve as there is big potential for this place

Vilamoura is the bigest private holiday resort in Europe. It has a fabulous marina, five top class golf courses,a yearly average of 300 days of sunshine and a beach that stretches for 8 kilometers.

Great for the young and the young at heart. Not a family place. Avoid the marina accommodations if you like sleeping at night as music is played loudly to 4:00 a.m.. Great restaurants and pubs.

Very clean and tidy. A good mix of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. The marina is a great place to walk along with the family. Plus you can access the beach at esch end of the marina. (Young kids may struggle with the walk) warning: A tourist hot spot with prices to match but still worth a visit.

What can I say lovely the sun was shining paradise loads of bars restaurants shops the beach is beautiful the Portuguese people are so nice and friendly. VERY up-market was really busy when I visited. But could always find somewhere to eat or just have a coffee and sit and watch the world go by .

Vilamora is a lovely location with plenty to do and see. It is very popular for people wishing to play golf and groups such as stag and hen parties. in addition it is also family friendly The beach is within 5 minutes of the marina and is a lovely place to relax and sunbathe with a number of restaurants located on the beach such as the Thai Beach Club. The marina is large and has a wide choice of restaurants and bars to choose from.

Excellent Service, attention to detailed, accommodating, and polite. Gorgeous view of the harbor. I had a very refreshing Gin & Tonic (Portugal Gin is flavorful) and Poke shrimp bowl - fresh, colorful, light bowl that hit the spot. My husband had the sea bass. He was very pleased with his food. Described the bass as perfectly done.

Went here for a quick lunch and it was quiet. Staff were friendly and quick to bring us drinks and couvert (tuna pate and fresh bread was one of the nicest we had in Vilamoura). We ordered 3 toasted sandwiches and the prawn sandwich in the photo. The toasted sandwiches were a bit overpriced at 8 euro, the prawn sandwich at 9.50 was very good though, including large tasty prawns and avocado with a nice sauce. Came with 3 slices of bread which is not explained on menu. Unfortunately things got busy at this stage and service took a nose dive. It was very warm and we'd young kids with us so asked for more water fairly soon after finishing the first bottle. The waitress I asked was very grumpy, no smile and never came back to us. We'd finished our food before another waiter brought the water and apologised a few times for the delay. We then had to wait again to get anyone's attention to ask for the bill. 2 out of 3 staff members were very friendly and really doing their best, but the place is clearly understaffed. Would have been a much better experience if we had received water sooner and if we had been able to pay bill when we wanted.

Second time here. First evening fillet was awesome. Deck burger 2 days later for lunch was just OK. The fries were awful though :(

What a delightful restaurant. We ate on the terrace and what a lovely place to eat. Very attentive staff, beautifully cooked and presented food. The grilled Sea Bass was absolutely divine. The steaks cooked to perfection and even the childrens' pizzas were as authentic as you would expect. Great local wines and chilled beers in abundance! Slightly expensive but, what do you want from such a fantastic restaurant. Will definitely visit again when next in Villamoura. Thank you 🇵🇹

Decent marina with many lovely restaurants, bars and shops all well placed. Similar to Albufeira this place seems to be designed to cater to British taste but is a bit more upmarket and tasteful than Albufeira.

By far the best restaurant on the Marina! gorgeous food, quality wine & excellent service. We were a large table of 15 and nothing was too much trouble (note: 2 vegans, 1 vegetarian & 1 allergy). Great vibe and chilled music - highly recommend! * News, I can't remember what our waiter was called, (see picture), but he is a credit to you and your company *

The Best food I've ever tasted in the entire European continent, really a real surprise... the Tuna as well as the baked cod were magnificent and applause for the fresh and tasty pups

The best Prawn Curry ever had. The prawns were huge and plenty of them. Well worth the money. My friends thought the lamb chops were good too. Would highly recommend. Staff were very attentive. 👌😊

I’d like to give this place 4* but I can’t. On Sat night they released our table early. Thankfully we got in. The food over priced for what it is. That said the cod stew is excellent. Very good in fact. Hence I’d love to have given it 4*. Also the champagne is reasonably priced for a front row marina side seat :-0

The best restaurant on the Marina, hands down. The service is impeccable, the friendliness of all the staff, the food prepared by the head chef was superb and he made a point to come and sit with us on both occasions we visited. 5 star service and superb quality food with super friendly waiters. Recommended.

Vilamoura is a lovely place, holding both a sedate charm and a more lively atmosphere in some of the bars. Excellent restaurants are everywhere, people are friendly and - of course - for those that want to walk over well-cut fairways it has some of the best golf courses in the world.

Food was nice. Atmosphere and location too. Its very typical of the food you get at the marina which is a little underwhelming and not very try hard. There are much better places to dine.

Service A1, our waiter Paulo was amazing, but the food was just ok… I order a T-bone and it was 1cm thick, so if you come here just don’t order meat, don’t get fool by the name :-) 3 stars for the food 6 for the service

  • 2/5 Victoria R. 1 year ago on Google
Won’t visit again. Food was sub par. Service was ok. Ambiance was nice, we were sat outside. Gets quite cold of a night & had to ask about 5 times for the bill. I’m sure there are better restaurants. Steak was just salty & chips were soggy!!!
