(Translated by Google) It is not easy to access with the suitcases because of the place where it is located, but the Hostal is clean and comfortable. Also the room that I had had a breathtaking view of the city and the mountains behind, the only negative is that there was only one shared bathroom and the guests were several to have a single bathroom.

(Translated by Google) Santos is an excellent, knowledgeable and knowledgeable guide. The vehicle, a good Toyota Land Cruiser, is comfortable and reliable. He knows the area well and offers less traveled and still beautiful itineraries, such as the city of enchantment (stupendous) and the plateaus of which he is a native. In the Salar and in the South Lipez he has shown himself careful to make us live experiences that are less homologated as possible, both with the trekking to the Tunupa volcano, and by choosing original timetables and routes. The result is a well done, almost customized tour, but without the cost of a custom tour. Good food, Spartan accommodation (by our will), Santos speaks English as well as Spanish. The agency also has a good hostel in Tupiza. The real plus: it is he, the owner, who leads the tour.

(Translated by Google) Despite not being in the center (it is better to have a car if you stay there) it has a good service. The attention is very cordial. They offer towels and shampoo. Not so hand towel. It has hot water, but no heating (I do not know other hotels in the area how they will be included in the breakfast.) The most important thing is that the excursion to Uyuni salar, which can be for 4 days, is an unforgettable experience.

(Translated by Google) We are back from 3 days of Jeep Tour in the South Lipez! When we arrived in Tupiza we chose to sleep at the Auberge Los Salares, which has spacious and comfortable rooms, hot shower, sauna (surcharge), in short everything to have a pleasant stay in Tupiza for a low cost! After some agency research to take a tour in Sud Lipez, we finally decided to go with Santos, the hotel manager who also has his own agency and offered us a personalized 3-day tour in Sud Lipez. . And how can I say… we loved it!! Santos is a perfect guide, attentive, he answers all your requests (photo stops, videos, questions, etc.)! He knows the region very well and will be able to answer everything! We also ate very well and lacked nothing! The 4x4 is very comfortable, it's practical when you spend a lot of time in it. In short, we recommend that you stop at the hostel and take a guided tour with Santos! Some photos of these 3 days to make you want!!

Clean room, friendly staff, good price for a private room with 1 bed. Only shame is that breakfast starts at 8, which you usually won’t make it you start a multiple day tour, but it is not included in the price anyways so you do not pay for something you won’t get.

Very clean and comfortable hostel. Santos provided us with a horse riding tour by one of his friends which we really enjoyed. We also did the Salar de Uyuni tour with him which was great! He speaks english, is eager to answer questions, knowledgeable, cares for the environment and overall a very joyful person! He cooked us all vegetarian food for during the trips and chose some stunning lunch spots. I would highly recommend the hostel and the tours!

We had a really nice stay at the Hostal Salares. We did not book in advance, but the staff was super friendly and made sure we get a room. We felt very save. They serve very delicious breakfast and have a very good laundry service. The location is also very central and you can walk everywhere. The staff was very friendly, helped us with all our questions and made us feel home. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing place!! One of the best in all of South America for the cleanliness, friendliness and over all vibe. Not to mention a friendly, chilled out dog who is always happy to see you. Super friendly staff and amazing views of the mountains across the river.. not to mention the hostal is in the mountains! 10 minute walk to bus station and city center. Beautiful spot and they can organize horse rides at a better price then any tour companies around. They really care about your stay and go the extra mile. Don't miss out!

Very nice staff, helpfull and friendly. Rooms are basic but clean. Good value for the price, the hostel is a bit outside the city centre but its only a 5 min walk.

We stayed in this hostel – and did the salares tours with Santos – the husband of the owner. IT WAS THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE TOUR DONE IN MY LIFE. I have done many tours in my life and this one is the best. Not only would i recommend Santos from Salares Tours as your guide any day, but also what you will see is AMAZING. This was made amazing thanks to Santos our guide. He took extra care of us, so that we would always avoid other cars or tours doing the same trip. We where always on a perfect timing without feeling stressed. We easily asked for more time when needed. He had us arrive at sites with the best timing of light for photos or simply viewing. We could easily ask for more time at stops, or asked him any time to stop – which he did immediately. ALL WAS ALWAYS EASY. We asked him loads of question and he happily answered 99% of them. Some he honestly said that he didn't know. At the end of our journey he helped us to take really good photos in the salt lakes which brought us good laughs and great memories. Other memorable moments where the night skies, the sunrise on salt lakes, the hot baths, the flamingos, the rock formations... and so much more. At the end of the trip we had tears in our eyes from having to leave Santos – as he really touched our hearts and showed us his soul. We traveled long hours in the car – nearly all day – but the atmosphere was kind and always joyful. THE CAR AND HIS EQUIPMENT IS REALLY GOOD so we didn't feel tired, shaken or tossed around on those desert tracks. Finally we really enjoyed that Santos was more on the cultural side of things as other tours just seemed to be getting drunk and listing to loud music all the time. We never really met or got bothered by these groups, as Santos knew all the short cuts – having done this since he was 14years old. For your personal comfort; People who do this trip must pay attention in bringing warm clothes as the nights are very cold and the hostels you will be sleeping in are not heated. And if you like eating veggies like we do, please tell Santos to only cook veggies and if possible loads of quinoa, potatoes, corn and other local stuff. As for the hotel: the rooms where clean, the location is quite and out of Tupiza being an easy 10 minutes walk to the towns restaurants. The owners are really nice and helpful. The Wife makes great pancakes with a great smile. Love is everywhere with its peace too. It is possible to have your laundry washed at the hotel. And tow - three daily nice walks can be done in near by canyons. As in all hostels we have been to in Bolivia the blankets are synthetic making us sweat but the rooms the clean Have Fun and enjoy the ride

(Translated by Google) Beautiful place where you can rest in silence near the mountain and the center of Tupiza. It has comfortable rooms, showers, hot and cold water, clean towels as well as the rooms. You can heat water for a tea. It has a garage, very friendly and attentive in the attention / reception, totally recommended. The place also has an excursion guide to the Salar de Uyuni.

(Translated by Google) Spacious and clean room, clean bathroom, but this hotel is far from being a 3 star. Shower sometimes lukewarm, sometimes cold, sometimes with a good flow, sometimes without flow. Heater in the room but the owner asked me not to use it all night because it blows the circuit breaker... I had to ask for an extra blanket to not use this heater. Good Wi-Fi connection. A bit "far" from the center. Nice view from the terrace. The owner offers tours, but I found the rates to be more expensive than some agencies downtown.
