This is a great place to have a “luxury” hostel experience - the beds are comfy and really do feel like little private pods. The bathrooms can get a little wet, but everything is regularly cleaned. The desk staff are good at handling any problems, and the hostel has thought of a lot of little things that improve the experience, like soundproofing as much as possible and slow-close doors. The only thing I would point out is that this is not necessarily as social a hostel as other options. This is a great options that immediately feels safe and homey, and this is great for students, temporary workers, or those that are not looking to party at all. I would also say that this is not a hostel in which cooking is easy. The lounge and kitchen space is not big enough and at meals can run out of seats, and the stove is laughably slow, so simple meals or grocery store takeout are best bets.

I love that London has a female-only hostel! Feels very natural to be in there; the common spaces are highly utilized though I did not socialize with anyone during my two stays there. I stayed there 2 nights on separate occasions. Pillows were VERY comfy and each bed has a privacy curtain, light, charging station, and small shelf! No odd smells (other than briefly in basement before getting to the room). Quick walk to tube station, though I may recommend against taking it solo in the dark, as there are fewer people and the walk feels longer when everything is closed. Great wifi. Note that each room has a theme for its decoration. First time I stayed in the basement (“Bridgerton”) and second time on second floor (“Naughty Girl”). Tip: the basement bathroom has 3 hair dryers; the second floor bathroom just has a hand dryer. Lights in basement bathroom are motion-activated; apparently my shower wasn’t close enough to sensor and I was in the dark for a while. People seem to leave the light on until the last person arrives - highly recommend getting a sleeping mask.

Great hostel with an incredibly warm environment. The staff is super kind and the rooms are confortable and pretty! Definitely will stay here again. Also the underground stop is very close and there are a couple of supermarkets nearby, so it's very easy to get everything and everywhere you need.

I have never felt so safe and understood. Travelling? In between houses? This is the place to be. Friendly and really supportive staff. Great place to make new friends. Activities catered to us. Tarot readings. Girl dinners. Cheesy films. CLEAN amenities. This place has it all. This is barbieland.

An absolute lovely Hotel! I'm traveling alone for the first time and I'm more then happy that I ended up in this cute Hotel. It's located next to a train station and there are bars and restaurants around. I also feel very safe and comfortable here, absolute safespace! Tea and coffee are free and you can use the kitchen which is very nice. There is also a comunity room if you feel too alone in your dorm. There are groupactivities on some days like movie nights and spa day which I think is very cute. The rooms are clean and simple and tho I had my doubts about sharing my room: I'd give it a 10/10. If you tend to feel alone in Hotel rooms (like I do, especially when traveling alone) I'd recomend this Hotel for you. The dorms have a reading light and charging spot so you don't have to worry about your phone getting taken away. Only thing that is maybe a bit of a con is, that there are street noises dur to the nightlife. The staff is super nice and kind, if I ever come back to London, I'll be staying here again 🫶🏻 (Ps: I'm a very lost and socially awkward person and I'm having a hard time to find a spot where I feel comfy. This place is very lovley and I promise it's absolutley for you if you're as lost as me haha)

the hostel itself is great and in great location too, you can get a bus to the airport almost in front of it and that’s very convenient. the bathrooms and showers are good, but it’s not uncommon to find the shower area all soaked, maybe that could be worked on. the one thing worth noticing is they offer rooms with a lot of bunk beds, so make sure to check how many people will be sharing with you. for the location and the price, it doesn’t come as an issue. the staff is very helpful and overall it’s a place I’d recommend

This was my second time staying in a hostel, and I had a great experience at Hostelle. The main door and the dorm room doors are PIN-protected, so there is a solid sense of security throughout the building. The girls at reception were really nice and helpful, and I loved the atmosphere of a women-only hostel. I ended up booking another consecutive night at short-notice, and the girl at reception made sure to keep me in the same bunk and room with no issue. There is a common area with couches, a small kitchen and eating area where you can cook and reheat food, and plenty of space in the fridge and island unit to store food (but be mindful there is no freezer - mine and another girl’s ice cream just had to chill in the fridge). The dorms are spacious and comfortable, with good-quality curtains on the beds for privacy. Each bunk has a powerpoint and a USB outlet, plus an adjustable lamp. I didn’t use the underbed storage (wire drawers), but just left my bags and bits and pieces at the foot of my bunk. Many others had done the same, and it felt like a safe environment, but you are also able to rent a padlock from reception if you want a bit more security. The only downside to the sleeping experience was that the hostel is next to a busy pub. I was in Room 2 with a window backing onto the street, and the noise of shouting drunk people carried clearly even with the window closed, making it difficult to fall asleep. However, this is completely outside the control of the hostel, so I can’t fault them. The toilet and bathroom facilities are clean and new, with a little station of free toiletries to use (possibly left behind by other patrons), but on my floor there were only two bathrooms. I never had a problem myself, but I can understand how, if the hostel is busy, this could cause issues. Central location, with Bethnal Green station and a Sainsbury’s just a two-minute walk away. I would definitely stay at Hostelle again. Love the newness and vibrancy of the interior, the chilled-out and safe atmosphere, and the helpfulness of the staff.

Enjoyed my stay here. Loved that the each bed has curtains, plugs and light. Kitchen is way too small for the amount of people that can stay there. Very busy and over stocked fridge, struggled to cook.

Nice hostel that I would definitely recommend to any woman travelling alone or with female friends. Very clean. Coffee is free. Staff polite and helpful. Location is convenient, surrounded by supermarkets, cafés, small shops and Bethnal Green Tube station is really near. Shoreditch with it amazing street art is only a couple of bus stops away and so is the City. The only thing I disliked is the showers. Not really comfortable. But a minor flaw. If you are adaptable, this is great value for money!

Love that London has a female only hostel! Easy to get to as it's right off of the Central Line, in zone 2. There is street noise at night, but the hostel offers earplugs if you need it. Comfortable and clean. Only issue would be the quantity of toilets; on the first floor it appeared that there were only two toilets for about 5 rooms. Supposing each room sleeps 6, that's not a lot of toilets for the number of people. Thankfully, while I was there, there were no issues, though maybe during a busier season that wouldn't always be the case.

Stayed here for a week in August. Pros: The staff were really nice. It was great not having to worry about men being there. The only men there were staff. Maybe two total. The hostel was close to a park, transportation, stores, and restaurants. The terrace was a good amenity option. The bed was already made which was great. Being able to use a pin to enter the room was as well. The shower setup was great. Probably the best shower situation I’ve seen in a hostel. I like shower heads like the ones Hostelle has. It can adjust to height. The stall door has a hook on it for putting clothes there. The stall has a clear door in between the stall door and the shower to keep the clothes dry and most of the water inside the shower. The stall is good. Cons: Outside of the stall, there is no drain. So some of the water from the shower pooled outside the stalls. Not pleasant when wanting to use the sinks or even leave. Then water is being tracked through the halls. There were little things missing. Some stalls had hooks but others didn’t. Some sinks had a ledge between the sink and mirror. Some didn’t. The internet wasn’t working for most of our stay due to construction. This was a disruption to my days as I was expecting it to work. Some lockers were broken. Some weren’t. Mine was but my partner’s was not. I had packing cubes and put them up in my bed and kept it there for the duration of my stay. The lockers should be replaced. Not enough room to maneuver in 8 person dorm rooms. The bunk in the middle could be removed allowing for more room to open luggage. And even climb down the ladders of bunks because I’ve hurt my back once doing so. A piece of the bunk in the middle grazed hard against my back. It was hot in the room we were in so it was nice to have the window facing the terrace open. But it was right next to the terrace and if people sat at the table next to our window at night it was loud and irritating when trying to sleep. it was also necessary to have the window open at the beginning of our stay because someone in the room or their things smelled bad.

Amazing stay, I'll come back for sure! Very good price/quality ratio for London, plus the underground station is right next to the hostel so it's perfect! The lobby and the kitchen are amazing, very welcoming, well equipped and beautifully decorated. I was in a 6 bed dorm, the bed was really comfy and the individual curtain, little tablet with lamp, and sockets was just PERFECT. It allows to have intimacy even though it's a dorm with strangers. I absolutely loved that. Plus, each room has a door code to enter, as well as the entrance of the hostel so I felt very safe. The bathroom is really nice, unfortunately it happens that some people leave water everywhere after they shower, but the bathroom is regularly cleaned so that's alright. I did not get the opportunity to check the terrace out but it seems really nice. The staff was very friendly. The hostel organise lots of activities and themed nights, which is really amazing when you want to meet people! You should check out their instagram as they post a lot of useful stuff! The windows in the dorm were really lacking of isolation, as we could hear all the noise coming from the street. I don't mind the noise at all so it wasn't a problem for me, but it could be for some people. They are not isolated from cold either so the room was always quite cold (which was okay for May but could be a real problem during winter) The lockers under the beds are really loud and unpractical...I couldn't open mine all the way because of the bed in front. But still a good thing that there are lockers!

This is my first time to stay in a hostel and the whole new experience is very nice. The place is very clean and well managed, bed is comfortable, shower is nice, and girls in the hostel are so friendly. They even made popcorns and had a movie night one night. Female only idea is fantastic. The only downside I would say is you can’t sleep until very late on Friday and Saturday nights if you stay in the rooms face the main road. There are plenty of bars and restaurants outside.

The hostel is pretty much right next to the underground station and there are plenty of good places to eat or shop for food nearby, my stay was only for one night so I can't speak on the kitchen but the bathroom and bedrooms were quite nice. Although as some of the other reviews state, the metal locker under the bed is quite loud and takes up a lot of room between the beds but I feel that isn't such a bad trade off for the price. As for my booking, I was originally supposed to stay for the whole weekend but due to some changes in circumstances I couldn't, the staff were very good about my sudden change despite me only giving notice a day before so I was very thankful for that. They also sell things like towels and locks at reception for a decent price. Area itself is pretty nice and I would feel relatively safe walking around at night on the highstreet. Overall I would definitely stay here again when I next come to London, and if I ever visit Amsterdam or Barcelona I will for sure check out the Hostelle there :)))

Th concept is really nice, but I believe because it is so new there are still some renovations being done. I love the sleeping arrangement even though we were in a room of 16. If they had more mirrors, bit of better lighting in the bathrooms and a way to not get the floor extremely wet when showering, it would be a 5/5.

I have never stayed in a hostel before. After researching different ones for a one night stay in London I was getting worried I wasn't going to be able to find one! All of them had some type of issue I wasn't ok with. But when I found Hostelle I instantly knew it was the one for me and my group of girls! Three of us in our early 20's. If you are a young woman traveling I FULLY FULLY recommend you stay here. It was a better experience then I have ever had a expensive hotels! The desk woman was so kind and gave us lots of information about the area, all the rooms, bathrooms, common areas, were clean and welcoming. Free coffee and tea were such an unexpected nice touch! One of my favorite things about this place is that they actively continue to change based on requests of those who stay here. For example my friend was on her period and asked if they had any products, and the woman said that they didn't but that it was something she would tell the manager about to see if they could stock for future guests. I love this company and hope they expand to other large cities because when I travel again they would be my first choice for sure.

Location was great, just a one minute walk to the tube station and bus stops within the same distance too. Staff were helpful and available 24 hours. It was my first time in a female-only hostel, and I absolutely loved the experience. You could really tell that it was designed with women in mind, right from the colour scheme to the amazing wall art (I think it was done by local artists) and the collection of toiletries. I see other people have mentioned the creaky underbed storage, but I left my larger suitcase in the luggage storage area and did not need to use it. Your bed comes with its own charging point and lamp, which in my opinion is the mark of an excellent hostel. The room and entrance door are number-locked, so no fear of losing a key. There is a small self-catering kitchen where you can cook meals and heat takeaway, and labels are provided to store your items in the fridge. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed there for 2 days and I really enjoyed it! The rooms and the bathrooms weren't very big, but what is important, is that they were clean and the bed was comfortable. They have a nice area near the reception, where you can watch tv, play board games and drink some (complimentary) tea. They also have a small kitchen and a luggage room, where you can leave your belongings for a couple of hours after you check out. The location is also amazing! There are lovely restaurants nearby and some supermarkets and an underground station is like a 5 minute walk from the hostel. The only negative thing I have to say is that I agree with some of the reviews and the rooms get indeed quite cold.

Just dont bother. Even if you book a year in advance and cancel within 24 hours, they will still take your money. If this is the only way they feel tbey can break even then thats a poor sign of what awaits the most desperate of travelers. I booked 5 weeks in advance and had to cancel within 48 hours due to a change in my events location, was told booking and cancelation was free and yes I read their policy both before I booked and before I canceled No mention of this little scam yet they stole from me non the less. I am currently persuing legal means regarding this matter. Not even worth one star.

Great atmosphere! Clean, calm, spacious and the rooms are really well designed to keep privacy, decoration is cute and everything is indeed brand new. I’ve stayed in many hostels before, but this is my first female hostel and I’m delighted by the homey vibes 😊 All the people at reception are super friendly and helpful too. Worth every pound!
