First time at a BAO restaurant. When you first enter the restaurant you are greeted with a wonderful atmosphere, the staff and waiters were all fantastic as well. The food was amazing, but what really stood out to us was the Taiwanese Fried Chicken with the hot sauce, crispy, tender and juicy and the sauce complimented it extremely well. We, also ordered the Pulled Beef BAO and the “Rich” beef noodle soup all of which were fantastic.

I do not recommend them as you can probably eat each dish in two bites max. Noodle dishes were modest in size but absolutely delicious. Be aware when ordering hot tea you will get a cute little pot that holds 150ml max.

Good atmosphere, great food, great service. A bit pricey, but worth. The Taiwanese Fried Chicken was delicious, the Taiwanese Noodles as well.

Average meal, was left pretty disappointed. Having to leave your coats on the wall where people sit wasn't a good start specially as the tables are so squeezed together you bump into people sitting down. Table was small and if we had ordered more dishes we wouldn't have had any room. Menu was too small and too basic. Wasn't worth the visit.

The BAO is a must try!!!! The cheese croquettes are also amazinh! I had a Tofu Bao- trust me soo crunchy so juicy… ufff. The noodles were a total flop. I had the aubergine fritters. Also, who charges for sauces? When the dish is not upto the mark and definitely not work 12£ and you ask for extra sauces they charge. That was very sad. The staff is sweet. The dishes are expensive for the quantity. Will just highly recommend the BAO’s!!!

Honestly, I'd only recommend going for the bao buns. Noodles were okay but seriously not worth the price (literally came with just TWO tiny beef slivers), the croquettes are tiny, and the bubble tea was a massive disappointment. It was genuinely just ice with two slurps of tea, then the ice got stuck in the glass so I couldn't reach the boba, had to use chopsticks to jam the ice free. The bao buns though were honestly stand out, only thing here I'd say were genuinely worth the price.

Food was way too sweet and therefore very much one taste, the best thing were the dumplings in chili oil and the beer, the rest so not worth it unfortunately. The place is nice and very quick service but would not recommend unfortunately.

Servers were attentive and food came out pretty quickly. The drinks and food were good. I recommend the hot man margarita, beef noodles, short rib bao, and Taiwanese fried chicken. I was less enthusiastic about the classic bao and cull yaw dumplings, not to say they weren't good, but I enjoyed other items more.

Walked by the place multiple times intrigued by the creative interior and aesthetic and finally peaked in for a meal. While the quality of food was excellent, the portions for the price were way too small and if you’d like to have a full meal here, you ought to order a lot. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time - the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious.

Love BAO! This one doesn't feel quite right though 😑 It's pretty vibe-less and kind of confusing that you can sit outside and order through Arcade or inside to order from BAO, with different menus and different drinks. We had half of ours outside before the waiter from Arcade pulled back the curtain to show us you could eat in! Service was kind of competent but with 2 or 3 redundant staff standing behind our waiter just chatting. No one seemed to be in control/watching service. I was kind of surprised when a guy walked in and said hello to everyone in a team-leader sort of way, we though 'great, maybe now things'll be a bit slicker' but nothing changed he just got out his laptop, sat down and ordered a drink!

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and inventive twists on classic bao. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable and explained the menu and order process. Great experience!

Bao is one of those restaurant’s on my ever growing list of places to try. We initially went to try the Arcade Food Hall, but discovered the stand alone restaurant, which is attached to the Arcade Food Hall. Anyway, we fancied noodles so decided to dine in the standalone restaurant. The staff were super nice and helpful, explaining everything in detail. Food was delicious, I especially loved the classic Bao, had to be tried at least once. As Battersea is not too far from us in Clapham, we will surely return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve been looking forward for this restaurant to open and I was not disappointed! The noodle soup is so delicious. It comes with a butter that you mix in, making the broth and noodles delicious and buttery. The meat was good as well! The portion was a little small, but it was still filling and worth it for the low price (14 pounds)! Service was good and I was seated very quickly. Would highly recommend!

Lovely bao & noodle spot on the top floor of Battersea power station. What's great is that you can order in the Arcade food hall or you can sit in the restaurant section where it's more quiet. The staff was very attentive and helpful when choosing dishes. The soy glazed aubergine was so delicious. The noodle portion is not too large so you best get a bao bun as well - you're not gonna regret it!

Excellent dishes, all cooked beautifully and deliciously moreish. Definitely recommend this branch of BAO. One area that could be improved is the hot tea could be more generous, it was served in a teensy pot and the cup was a bit bigger than a thimble. We felt more value could be provided at £4 for the pot.

My first visit to BAO in the UK but I am familiar with these Taiwan dishes. So my comparison will be benchmarked against what you’d likely to find the similar in Taipei. Firstly the food standards are uniformly high albeit somewhat less spicy than I would have expected, likely to cater to the local market towards Asian spicy foods. Having said that I still enjoy a lot of especially the BAOs (no picture but I had the Classic) and noodles. Most of these could be categorized as small bites finger food that you find in Taipei night market. Except the noodles they could all be consumed on the go. That’s what they are meant to be, which lead to my final point on the pricing. Are the foods tasty ? Yes but they are priced inappropriately for what they are. Bringing foods that belong to a night market inside a restaurant made the experience somewhat odd. BAO didn’t get a 5 star from me because of a wrong delivery of an otherwise very good street food.
