Just lost a loyal customer. Was told on the phone that they are very busy and delivery would take up to 2.5 hours and that collection would be preferred. When I indicated that we didn't mind waiting for delivery the operator grew impatient, replied "is that it?" to my £30 order then claimed he didn't deliver to my area (despite many previous deliveries) and then hung up on me. Such a shame. We have ordered with them dozens of times previously and recommended to friends. Their food really is excellent, so good in fact that we didn't mind waiting hours for a delivery. That said, there is no excuse for rudeness and false claims, no matter how busy you are. We have since placed an order with Spice Jar, who were far more professional and accommodating.

We made an online order from our favourite Indian. Placed the order at roughly 6:15pm ( Friday 8th May ) this evening and saw that the delivery time was 7pm. That was fine given the situation at the moment. However at 6:40 my door bell rang and our food had arrived piping hot. Amazing. The food was of course most delicious. Brilliant service. Thank you xxxx

We have been ordering from Ali Shan for years, delivery is always on-time and the food is hot. Dishes have always been either excellent or very good. I've finally thought about writing a review after the meal we ordered last night. In the midst of the current lockdown Ali Shan was _extremely_ busy - but their delivery was still on-time, the food still hot - and the quality of the dishes delivered were absolutely superb. They initially omitted the naan bread I'd ordered, but upon a quick phone call, rather than fobbing me off, they immediately sent another driver straight round within a couple of minutes. Absolutely top notch customer service! Edit: Jan 22 - needed a treat for just myself - Ali Shan happy to bend the rules to provide smaller portions of my favourite dishes, delivered early, steaming hot and delicious. Brilliant customer service, thank you yet again Ali Shan

Cannot fault Ali shan ever. Best Indian around by far. Ever other restaurant doesn't even come close 👌 food is always on point and service is amazing!! Highly recommend for anyone needing an Indian coated with flavours 💯

Have used this takeaway for many years and always enjoyed the service and food but over the past month things have deteriorated. The past two orders were incorrect and this evening the order took ONE HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES to arrive and was tepid. I feel if the can’t cope with the demand then they should not take so many orders.

Had my first experience of this restaurant as a takeaway recently and it was all as ordered, all piping hot and all very delicious. Good value for money and not too long to wait. Will definitely be trying again in the future.

Rang to say that the wrong curry was sent out. Had the right curry within 20 mins. Customer service was spot on. Can't fault it!!!

Overcharged plus Chicken Tikka was awful and gristly as it got colder, very odd texture. One of the dishes was wrong and we were told 20 mins to collect and an hour for delivery. When I went to collect after 25 mins, it wasn't ready for another 10 or 15 mins so we may as well waited the extra time for a delivery

Another brilliant meal from Ali Shan. Piping hot, not oily, amazingly tasty, succulent meat, ready fast, what more could you ask for. Somehow we managed to stop eating despite the desire to tuck into the leftovers but they will do for another great meal tomorrow! Keep it up Ali Shan, you are doing a great job!

Best Indian take away for miles in my opinion. Friendly staff can’t fault these guys
