Wonderful scenic place to walk. There are several trails you can follow based on your preferences. Love this place.

Love it here. Nice stroll round the pond - or walk round the meadows or in the woods. Or if you have an hour or so , all of it.

Scenic trails. Seems quite peaceful. Pond? More like a huge lake. Plenty of small bridges. Quite well maintained. No litter on the paths but would be good to see strategically placed bins. Boating centre on site. Plenty of decent fishing spots. Some paths are narrow so when you have dog walkers, cyclists etc. it can feel a bit crowded. Some good signposting on maps and a few boards on the wildlife and history. The entrance and exit on the main road could be better. Perhaps wider or less restrictive in view. Not too bad to enter but exiting off a blind corner on to a 50mph road can take a while. Would recommend visiting though.

Nice place for a family walk. Plenty of places to have a picnic Paths have been relayed in places. Not many of the bins had been emptied. Dog poo bags overflowing.

Lovely place to walk. Some paths have recently been upgraded (as has the road to drive in), so accessibility has been greatly improved. Lots of benches dotted around the pathway for those who need a rest as they go round. Parking is limited. No toilets or cafe, but a nice picnic area with a few benches/tables to stop for your lunch or a snack. Dogs on lead in certain areas (check maps) though otherwise off lead and under control is permitted. The pathway isn't fenced in all the way round, so beware there are areas a loose dog could escape to the neighbouring houses/roads. Access to the water in some places (main pond and surrounding streams), and of course watch out for the birds.

Always love it here. Nice wide open path around the lake makes it great for accessibility to all. I often take a wonder away from the pond into the woodlands behind hartlands which is great for walking the dog and in the large field a bunch of enthusiasts fly their miniature planes which are great fun to watch. Always had good experiences here

Didn't get to go round the whole nature reserve as the weather turned nasty, but from what was seen it's a lovely space to wander, cycle or take the dog for a walk. The further you enter you forget the busy railway line right next door. Home to lots of wildlife. Absolutely stunning scenery. Definitely well worth visiting... on a nice day.

Really nice walk, especially if you have children who like trains. The main body of the walk is raised paths that are good in most weather. You'd be fine with a buggy, but might get a bit grubby. Social distancing generally observed, though perhaps not so easy on some of the bridges. Saw a heron, moorhens, ducks and coots. Apparently fish stock is down due to environmental issues.

Wonderful place for a walk and to feed the ducks! The paths are pushchair friendly which is a big plus and there are lots of spots to pull over and feed the ducks. Have been on several occasions and will be going back again and again.

Wonderful wildlife nature reserve, tucked away off the fleet road. Plenty of leafy paths and even some steers to admire. Parking is free!

Nice big pond, with ample free parking, not too far away from main roads etc... Can do a nice big loop around the lake, (with decent paths and maps) in about 50 mins. Lovely bit of nature, only spoilt by a bit of litter and a train or two.

Lovely place to walk with beautiful scenery. Paths a bit muddy today but not really surprising given the amount of rain recently.

A great dry path walk around the lake and nature reserve with our little dog. Expected to be a 1 hour visit on such a warm autumn day it was over 2 hours.

Nice walk for the dog. Updated paths and roads make for good access. Would recommend.

Much improved access following recent work done. A really lovely environment to wander round. Aside from a picnic area with benches there are no real facilities on site & parking can still be quite challenging as not loads of spaces. Too nice not to recommend a visit though.

Not so easy to find if you're a stranger to the area but access road now excellent and well worth a visit

Looks different every time I visit. I got caught in the rain yesterday, I've seen beautiful sunsets there, I've played with the dog in the stream. Only thing you need to watch out for is the blue green algae in the summer and autumn (there are signs when it is present). Lovely place to go for a bike ride or for a run (FYI it does get busy on Sunday mornings), to walk to dog or to feed the swans and the ducks.

Lovely walks around the pond with ducks, swans and other birds to see. Unfortunately the walk is closed either end of the path going near the railway station for a couple of months so not possible to do a circuit.

Lovely walk along side the pond, great well maintained paths set out in 3 well marked circular paths. We'll worth going to the launching ramp on the opposite side to the car park, birds are very tame there so good for photography.

A lovely place to walk or cycle and with children. A lap of the pond is a great way to escape for an hour or so. The surrounding woodland is also lovely.
