Excellent customer service 👍🏻

I am very embarrassed turned up at this Argos to return a faulty item under Argos care. Was openly laughed at by the 2 assistants, one older lady with short hair and another lady with long black hair...i had to ask them what was so funny, then the older lady told me because i had not returned the accessories that came with the steamer (they are used and dirty bits of plastic) she couldn't replace it anyway and told me to return with them or Argos would not get their money back. I left and cried as felt so humiliated. Customer service at its worse and so bad i came home and decided to go to another store where hopefully they dont laugh at their customers....so rude

Edit: Another great experience at this store. Gavin was very helpful on recent visit going out of his and the stores way to help with a product. Much appreciated and further backs my original review. Good experience with this store, purchased a phone which sadly went faulty after 2 months (not their issue). Sandra was really helpful in sorting out a full refund. Would recommend from my experience.

Elaine (short hair, oldish) ... the most pointless customer service assistant there. Had an issue with a product and no help whatsoever from here. I had bought it from there and for some reason on my account the transaction disappeared although you could see order number. Elaine kept looking at me as if I was lying and kept repeating no proof of purchase then nothing. If she doesn’t want to help then go away. So manager came over, I got through to customer services. Apparently the Argos system archives transactions even if it is within a year warranty. Had to get the woman on the Argos phone to teach the Argos store staff about why transactions would go missing. It’s just one store with some awkward staff. There’s plenty more for me to shop from.

I have previously always received first class service at this store, however today I must say I encountered two of the rudest staff I have ever met. One wouldn't even acknowledge my presence and the other blamed me for standing in the wrong place. I was collecting and stood at the counter marked collections. I will be using another branch in future and advising everyone else to do the same.

Argos has always been a favourite store if mine. This one has plenty of free parking so collection is easy. I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to collect my stuff. However, when browsing the App in Somerset I saved an item to my checkout not realising that I'd reserved it there and not in Basingstoke. The colleague sold me a new one (new order) and gave me the phone number of the store in Somerset to cancel the order. He said he couldn't cancel it himself as he didn't have the store number. After 15 minutes of automated calls in the car park where the AI wouldn't recognise my valid order to cancel I gave up and went back into the store. Another colleague was willing to find the store number and cancelled the order. It only took five minutes. Beware when using the App that you pick the right store. If you don't, forget telephone assistance, it's hopeless. Your in-store experience depends on the colleague who serves you.

Always a breeze to shop at this store. It's usually well manned properly with helpful staff. Plus its always neat and tidy with no long queues whatsoever. it has always been a positive experience everytime I shop there or to collect my stuff ordered online.

It is really nice , the sales executive Ruban was very helping, he went above and beyond to help us through for returning an item, 5 star experience ,always a go to place for shopping , definitely recommended

A good choice of products at a fair price

Good fast service using click and collect and automated payment terminal in the shop. Could be even quicker if using the fast track service. There is always something special about waiting for a package to arrive, and that's why I enjoy going to Argos.

Ordered online, message to tell me item was ready, picked up whilst in Sainsbury's! Simple 👍

Some what confused I can order a playstation controller for delivery but can't order a mini freezer

Sharing my review after my second visit at Argos , it's a wonderful place to shop , I came here for my dualsense controllers and charging dock this time, the staff( Adam and Molly) are so very cooperative they will actually come and guide you at the self serve counters, u too will enjoy your shopping experience here 👍👍

After booking on line and paying for my items, received a text to confirm. Going to collect to be told we don't have stock?? Poor service

Wonderful customer service from Gavin. While searching for a pressure washer he was able to make a fantastic good value recommendation and really went out of his way to engage with us. I will definitely be shopping at this branch again.

Great brand, poor service, placed an order for click & collect. As the payment went through the order was cancelled by Argos without a reason. Called the branch phone number, after a long wait got through, only to be put through to allegedly click & collect dept, which rang and rang and rang but, no answer! Just wasted my time!! For no apparent reason or explanation. I gave up in the end!!

Got a lacoste watch from here doesnt work , take my money but cant make sure fully working order
