I had the sage butter gnocchi followed by sharing the raspberry tiramisu and chocolate mousse. Everything was incredible and the portion sizes were perfect. Service was 5 star. If we weren't leaving Melbourne so soon I would definitely be returning as I wanted to try all the veggie options, and they change the menu every 6 weeks so plenty more to try.

From a warm friendly welcome from the owner as we walked in, we could tell this was his pride and joy. We had the chicken risotto and the calamari linguine , the risotto packed lots of flavour without being too rich , and the linguine was so fresh and the home made sauce was flavoursome. We couldn’t say no to share a tiramisu but was so good probably could of ate two each! The owner came around again at the end of our meals to see how they were and we got a wonderful insight to the food We will become regulars here for sure!

Very jolly Scottish lady as front of house. We were early so greeted by chef/owner as she had not arrived. But very welcoming. The starter calamari was excellent with home made lemon mayonnaise. Two mains Garlic prawns risotto and chicken pasta. Both very good. Pasta had lovely flaked “parmigiana” and thick creamy sauce. Wines recommended by owner were fine. Would definitely return. Worth travelling for too.

Short in staff, so expecting there is some waiting for food, it is not a huge place, therefore booking and avoiding peak hours is key to get a table and better service. Food quality is very nice and good pricing It is worth for the waiting and nicely done. For price paying here, don’t expecting some amazing fine dining experience but better than most family run Italian restaurants. 30minutes waiting for food after order is expected during the peak hour.

I tried this place with a friend last Saturday. A modest and casual place, but everything was nice (well cooked and well seasoned). For $129 for 2 people, we got an entree, a main, and a dessert each. The price also includes a shared bottle of wine. The owner of this restaurant is the chef and serves tables as well. He was attentive and passionate about his business. We had the pleasure to chat with him at the end of our dinner. I had the calamari entree which was very tender with a thin layer of crispiness. The main I chose was the pesto prawns linguine and it tasted so fresh and delicious. The dessert I had was their spin on the classic tiramisu. It was not amazing, but definitely good and satisfying. I can't wait to come back! Nowadays, it's hard to find such good quality food at such affordable price. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something casual, yet nice and won't break your bank account.

Ate here yesterday evening with my wife and my brother and his wife who are visiting from Singapore. Owner Hitesh is a gentleman with 19 years experience in Italian restaurants, and it shows. The food was excellent. Starters were vegan polenta, lightly fried calamari and rocket salad with shaved parmesan & sliced pear. The salad was my favourite of these, being tasty and light and well-balanced. I personally found the polenta a little dry even with the sauce at the side, and my family had expectations of the calamari being more rubbery and deep-fried, so it seemed unusual to have it as a light and fresh starter, actually more fishy than rubbery. I preferred it to the usual squid rings you find in pubs and so on, but some members of the party wanted standard squid rings. Nevertheless, the main courses were definitely a win. I tried all four that we ordered, which were both kinds of risotto (shrimp and chicken), prawn pesto linguine and homemade gnocchi di patate in sage butter. The gnocchi were the winner here, but it was close. The linguine was also delicious, and I only had a mouthful of the risottos but I would probably opt for the shrimp over the chicken one. Anyway, all were sufficiently generous portions (see attached pics) and beautifully presented. The recommended wine is also in the pics and it was one step beyond. I had a Peroni beer and my wife opted for a bottle of Bundeberg ginger beer. To close it all out, we shared two desserts between the four of us, which were the chocolate mousse (this was thick and outstanding) and also an odd dessert which I think was a berry tiramisu, without coffee. I liked this a lot also, as it was sweet, fruity and creamy. All in all, the big winner was the price, with three starters, four mains and two desserts, complete with a bottle of premium wine, a beer and a ginger beer coming in at AU$210. Hitesh the owner welcomed us back, and we will surely take him up on that offer. If you are going along to try it out, tell him that Kenny sent you. Only joking, that won't get you a discount or special treatment in any way, he's met me once. Nice place, and a genuine Italian gem to find just nestled here next to St Kilda Library and across from St Kilda Town Hall. Bravissimo!

We ordered Italian potatoes, Chicken Parma, and Linguini calamari. The food is always excellent. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is ideal for a romantic date. It is a fair price for what they are serving. I high recommend this restaurant.
