I'm extremely happy with the result Dr Nellie was able to achieve for me, ably assisted by Anthony. Both Nellie and Anthony were very friendly, professional and patient in answering my many questions. If, like me, you wanted to know everything about this process beforehand, I hope my review is helpful. Initial consultation: <$100 out of pocket. Following the consultation (which includes an ultrasound), you’ll receive a detailed quote including all costs and a treatment plan. At no stage did I feel pressured to proceed at this point. Nellie gave me the time and space to consider this on my own. Procedure/s: My leg veins were treated with a combination of EVLA, sclerotherapy and glue across a couple of short sessions (1hr max). There was, of course, some pain but it was minimal. I could still comfortably hold a conversation. Honestly, if you can handle needles without issue then you’ll be totally fine with this. Recovery: You’ll be given detailed instructions but, in short, as long as you can dedicate some time each day to walking then you can continue on with your daily activities with just a few limitations. Specifically, strenuous exercise and hot baths need to be avoided for a few weeks, you’ll need to wear a compression stocking on the treated leg, and you’ll need to do your best to keep your leg elevated. I didn’t need to take any time off from my desk job and I wasn’t kept awake at night. There will be bruising but, again, for me this was associated with minimal pain. As the vein is absorbed by the body you might experience some strange sensations every now and then, but nothing that I would describe as painful. Result: In my case, 100% improvement. My varicose veins from groin to calf are completely gone and I experienced no side effects during the healing process. I would post an after photo but it would literally look like a normal leg now. Finally, if you do have varicose veins, know that they will only worsen over time. They’ll never get better on their own. If they bother you at all, see Dr Nellie and have them taken care of sooner rather than later. Don’t look for any other clinics. Nellie is a virtuoso in this field and there’s a reason she has nothing but 5 star reviews.

Today was the first time in just over 4 years that I was able to wear a relatively short dress, and could feel comfortable in my own skin with how my legs looked. I had quite severe varicosed veins in both my legs after having my second child. What can I say about Nellie. Dr Nellie and her sonographer Anthony are the best in the business. From the first consultation I felt so comfortable and safe in their hands. The varicose veins in my legs were quite extensive so I had to return to the clinic quite a few times to be treated, but I honestly looked forward to the visits as they were both so lovely. Nellie is genuinely such a wonderful person and we had a great laugh together, I wish her all of the best in the future but I know that she will continue to excell in her field. I couldn't be happier with the end result which shows her incredible expertise. Cannot recommend them enough!!

My mum first found Nellie and had treatment with her and was happy with the results on her legs, so she referred her in to me. I am a registered nurse in an acute medical hospital - therefore spend lengthy periods on my feet. At the end of my shifts my legs used to throb, and my veins were becoming more unsightly. Prior to having treatment with Nellie both myself and my mother had visited another treatment provider for years. Although it was successful to start with, the problem came back within months and the pain never ceased. When I started treatment last year with Nellie, she found the root cause of my problems (something which had not been addressed at my previous provider) and treated that cause of my varicose veins. Fast forward to over a year, the treatment has been successful, pain from standing is significantly reduced and my legs look clear again. I have come back to Nellie today to have a very superficial touch up of previous work and this is just a completely different outcome to what I had been experiencing prior. Nellie is honest and sets a clear treatment plan upon first meeting her, she is gentle with her injecting and we even manage a laugh and a chat throughout treatment. Her prices are very fair and reasonable, and am happy to recommend her to anyone who is on the lookout for varicose vein treatment for their legs.

I am highly recommending Dr Nellie for the amazing job she has performed on my legs. After 2 strippings over 30 years, my legs were in need of attention again. I live in Auckland, NZ and public health doesn't cover varicose veins' treatment. I saw a couple of clinics and got their quotes only to realise that they would treat one leg only and they did not even bother looking at the second leg - which had developed veins too but were not apparent. I visited Dr Nellie in Melbourne and both my legs were scanned and a quote was given which was within the same price range as my single leg treatment in Auckland. I got it done at the next available appointment (which I was given straightaway as I had to fly back) and Dr Nellie treated both the legs. I decided to see Dr Nellie after years of seeing drs with not much luck for my surface veins on my legs. I was soo happy with her, her bed side manner is amazing. Dr Nellie is an absolute professional who manages her patients with genuine care and skill. She successfully removed 2 varicose veins for me, one of them quite major/large. Sadly I was one of the rare few cases that got pigmentation from the treatment, for which Dr Nellie checked in on me regularly to discuss the progress and recommend creams to aid the pigmentation. A year on from my treatment the pigmentation is almost gone, but even still, Dr Nellie is continuing to check up with me and make sure all is okay. I honestly cannot recommend her enough.
