VERY HEALTHY OPTIONS AVAILABLE This EARL has some healthy options for a quick meal - both hot and cold dishes. In the refrigerated display cabinet you can select pre-made sandwiches, salads and drinks. At the counter you can order coffee and hot dishes. They accept cards and cash. There is dedicated seating (important in very busy Emporium) on along shared bench right next to the outlet. Service is usually pretty fast.. biggest delay is people in front of you being indecisive about their order ;) Coffee is quite OK here. The shop is like a fish bowl - you can see everything going on the food preparation area.... which is reassuring!

The guy that served me was extremely rude. Gave me this look as if I wasted his precious time, while the only thing I did was choosing a yogurt from the fridge and going to the counter to pay! The person did not greet or say any word, just grabbed the item I was buying and said “there” to the eftpos machines. I actually felt humiliated, have NEVER encountered such appalling service like that before! Will never come here again!!

We were in search of somewhere indoors for a late afternoon coffe - when we came across this cafe still open in the Emporium shopping precinct. I ordered a hot chocolate and there was no taste of chocolate only warm milk and looked like it only had chocolate sprinkled on top. Unfortunately for the lady I was with, her coffee was very weak and same very disappointed. Maybe the teas are better

Disappointing service here. Picked out my food but it seems none of the 3 of 4 staff available could be bothered serving me. (The 4th staff at member was making coffee & actually tried to let the other 3 know I was waiting but ........). I waited for a couple of minutes & then left to buy my lunch elsewhere. Would not recommend!

Earl is open real early (hence the name). So it is great for that first coffee of the day. All their salads and sandwiches are made on site on the day so everything is fresh.

Simple and healthy everyday eats made from locally sourced produce. Their range features breakfast, sandwiches, warm salads and, of course, coffee. I had the 🥪🐔 Classic Chicken Sandwich for $10.5. A bit pricey for the size you get, but you can definitely taste the quality. Free-range chicken, dill, parsley, house mayo, and rocket sandwiched in between two slices of 7 grain sourdough. I also had the 🥗 salad bowl with a base of steamed 🌾 brown rice, peas, lentils with warm hummus topped with 🐔 poached chicken. It tasted so clean and healthy, perfect for those who're trying to eat clean but don't have time to cook. Lastly, I had the Housemade Overnight Oats with Fresh 🍓Strawberry (or you can choose poached 🍎 apple instead) for $8.5. Taste was nice, but size was quite small for what you pay.

Surprised to have to ask for sugar for a cup of tea and then doubly surprised she emptied the individual sachets into a small empty cup. Egg cups a brilliant idea. Loved it.

Having been here years ago and comparing with how the pork belly sandwich is now. It was flavourless and oily. 16 bucks could've went to a banh mi for 10

My first time at the Emporium location (usually went to QV Melbourne but that's closed). In a refined environment, which describes the Emporium experience. On level 3, the Café Court. Classic Chicken Sandwich, delicious and absolutely fresh on multigrain bread. The chicken mix had a hint of dill in it, which really lifts the taste. My drink was an organic Karma Drinks Lemon lime & bitters, not sweet and just a light fizz, very refreshing. Take home for supper was another sandwich, the New York Corned Beef, and Pink Lady juice, which I'm looking forward to. Now that I've found Earl again, will definitely be back. Sandwiches, Salads, Coffee and something sweet like small cakes. Recommend.

I stayed in Melbourne for 2 weeks earlier this year and loved this place for their New York Corned Beef Sandwich, cookies and banana bread!!

Order the Melbournes favorite since 2010, The Pork Belly. Looked kind of healthy and a little dry. The Pork was a little dry and the crispy skin was more hard than crispy. The coleslaw gave the illusion that it was a healthy meal, which it was on a way.

Had the egg and bacon roll on turkish bread slight toasted with relish sauce. Was yummo! Would definitely go back! Highly recommend. Service was excellent!

No quality standards. The milk was burnt and the coffee tasted aweful.

Really average for a very expensive sandwich. Only four ingredients, set me back $12. The mushrooms came out of a microwave and were in plastic wrap. The rocket has zero flavour, and its all very very salty. Really disappointed as it is the only place you can get a sandwich. Emporium needs a fresh sandwich bar ASAP. Will not be buying again.

Arrived at 7.54am and there were 5 staff preparing for the 8am opening and I was told to wait until they opened at 8. I have never been anywhere that turns away a customer 6 minutes from opening....especially when there were fully staffed. Unlikely to return.

Was on my lunch break today and decided to get my coffee from Earl in the Emporium complex. First of all my coffee was super delicious, but the star of the show was the customer service that the lady on the till, Nicola, provided. Such a sweetheart. Had an amazing conversation with her whilst she made my coffee. Incredibly engaging and bubbly. Haven't left a cafe that happy with the service received. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

OMG! Had the egg pot with hash bites and bacon.... and it was the best eggs I have had in forever! Comes in a cute little takeaway pot and was absolutely delicious, it didn't need anything. The little toast soldiers where super cute and tasty. Friendly service as well.
