This is the second occurrence with your practice where I was given a GP referral, submitted the online appt. request as per your SOP, and after trying to follow-up on my daughter's referral did I finally receive a notice that no new patients are being accepted. From 26 April to now it has been over 2 months of waiting for this negative reply from you. Why did it take so long to inform us? In fact, I gave the same feedback last time, and I don't see any changes implemented. I even wrote it in the additional comments (copied below) - so it is clear that either no one reads this, or someone reads this but chooses not to reply in a timely manner. I don't see any other options of this failure mode in your processes. From my 2nd online form submission after GP had to give 2nd referral since 1st time I ended up finding out on my own diligence that previosly referred dr. was also not taking new patients: "Please let me know if Dr. Forbes is not taking new patients. This is my second referral and last time I submitted new patient form, I did not receive any call or email, and when calling myself I found out the initially referred doctor was not accepting new patients. Would be good to get the feedback asap so I can keep looking for a specialist for my 4yo daughter. Thanks much!" I, on behalf of my daughter and many other parents, would really appreciate if you implement some changes to: 1. Communicate with the GP network/database that you're not taking new patients to prevent all the wasted time in the first place (if feasible within your systems network) 2. As further error-proofing, block anyone from even being able to submit a new patient appt. request online if the doctor is not taking new patients with a clear communication that shows the user the reason for not being able to make a referral 3. And if still working under these limitations, then please notify the parent who submitted the request within 1-2 business days that the doctor is not taking new patients

I would give zero stars if possible. Here was my experience. I called to request an appointment - expect 20-40mins on hold before you get through. I was told that a dr had to review my referral letter and that someone would get back to me. 2 weeks later after noone got back to me, I emailed to follow up on my request for an appointment for my child. Again no response. 3 weeks later, I call, wait for 20 mins to talk to a receptionist who tells me the drs are not seeing children in my child's age bracket and to go back to my GP for a referall to someone else. I can't tell you how disempowering it is as a parent to have to jump through these hoops to book a specialist appointment. If you don't have the capacity for new patients, just put that on your website. Stop stuffing everyone around.

Three words: Do not bother. There is no point in sending online form, leaving messages or following up over an email. You will not get a reply, nor will you get an appointment. Save yourself time and stress and ask for a referral to a different specialist.

Amazing specialists but the inability to contact anyone via phone (there is actually no option to phone which is wild) and no responses to the online forms once submitted is ridiculous. Worst experience with a medical administration ever.

What a sad state of affairs when a sick child's mother doesn't hear back months after filling in a new patient form and waiting for an appointment time. Also due to staff absences there is never anyone answering phones. Have our poor children not been through enough over the past few years?! Not good enough at all! Absolutely shameful.

I agree about reception and phone delays, this used to be well managed so it's a shame that service has slipped in this area. The practitioners however are amazing so if you can cope with the under staffed reception (which I hope will be rectified) then it is worth it. Our child has made incredible gains with the assistance of qualified specialists from this practice and I would definitely recommend them to others. 5 stars for the practitioners, 2 stars for under staffing the reception. I will happily change this once reception is improved as it is frustrating to chase up the administration side of things with this practice.

If I can give 0 or lower stars I’m giving on to this clinic. There are 3 receptionists working at the clinic but no one to answers the phone. They better to have one receptionists rather paying for 3 bad receptionists. They a attitude are really bad. May be there are good specialists but my experience is not really good with my specialist.. I been with her nearly 3 and half years..still I’m waiting for my reports to collect from them.. waiting long time to get appointments…nearly 4 , 5 months waiting for a report not really good for kids growing.that time you will see lot of changers with your kid…. I never recommend to any parent to go there if you have a special child.. time wasting place..they only needs money.. they wasted your money..not giving a quality service at all…they don’t know how to give a respectable to the word of “Doctor “.

Where do I start. Be prepared to be on hold for over 40 minutes then get put through to a voice mail. Voice mail…no one returns calls. Tried to contact through the website on a contact form. Again no one gets back to you. You have no choice but to be on hold to speak to someone. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Has taken me over a week to get my Medicare rebate because no one mentioned I need to fill out new patient form. No word on a test my daughter needs to get a proper diagnosis. Impossible to talk to the specialist without being on hold with a receptionist staff for 40+ minutes. It’s just so frustrating. Obviously they are understaffed and not coping with the load of calls/requests. I finally spoke to a staff member named Sarah and she was so helpful. Feel Sorry for the staff who would be abused constantly by frustrated callers.

Expressed my disappointment about MPS changing my son's appointment with Dr Lokuge-Hayes without consulting me and with less than 24 hours notice. I was then told by Larissa in reception to take my child elsewhere. Worst managed Medical Practice you will ever come across with the rudest admin staff, and the doctors that practice here tolerate the bad management and rudeness. If you want the best care for your child, you will not get it at MPS. Unfortunately they have a captive audience of desperate parents - so the practice keeps milking you for what you're worth.

Absolutely, utterly shocking admin processes. We have been a patient for over 2 years and the situation has only gotten worse. Now, the only way to contact the clinic is via an online form on their webpage, and the response rate and timing are absolutely dismal. They send out appointments randomly via text without any consultation and changing it when it's (inevitably) inconvenient for us working parents is a nightmare!!!!!!!!! I honestly don't understand how they are allowed to operate like this. If I could give zero stars, I definitely would!!!

I wish i could give 0 stars. How can we not call? I need constant scripts for my daughter and when i ask for them via email i get no response or delays. My daughter condition requires medication every day. The lack of response is appalling! Can someone please help me on who i can complain to about this practice? Because my next step is to go to the media.

We have seen two specialists at MPS and both have been nothing less than brilliant. Covid has put a real pressure on wait times (up to 5 to 6 months at a minimum for some appointments) which is a problem Australia wide, not an MPS issue. There is a referral triage service which took just over a week, however I would rather that this time is taken so that children can be seen by priority. After triaging, one doctor even went out of her way to put on an extra appointment for us just after hours, even though we had to wait a little while. The receptionists are always friendly and helpful even if you have to hold a little while. Love the team and care provided here!

The peadiatritions are great but everything else is an absolute mess I have been trying to get InTouch with admin regarding an appointment for my youngest son who's referral was sent in 6m ago (his now with a seperate practise due to the lack of care or professionalism) and then also trying to get some type of response to confirmation of my oldest appointment is frustrating. As parents we pay high costs for these appointments we expect to be able to access the service and be responded to in a timely manner. Get it together.

Sought help from one of their dieticians for a serious issue. Brooke Harcourt never followed up with a diet plan nor responded to several emails to request it. Terrible experience.

We had an amazing experience with this team. My GP did some research and advised Dr Eunice Chan was the best paediatrician for our concerns. I did check the reviews and was concerned however, I went with what my GP thought was best., GP sent off the referral and the receptionist contacted me to organise a time. Whilst there was a wait, our questions/issues/queries wasn't super urgent. I was advised that I would be put on a wait list should there be any cancellation I'd be contacted. To my surprised I received multiple calls from the reception advising of cancellations. I'm glad that there are still businesses/receptionist still stick to their word. I understand that as parents, we have concerns for our children but the receptionist shouldn't have to encounter rude behaviour. When we attended our appointment, Dr Eunice Chan was great. We had a list of questions in which she answered before we got the list out. Options, opinions and suggestions were provided. She was understanding, honest and genuine. For an anticipated daunting experience, we walked out with the weight off our shoulders. Would highly recommend Dr Eunice Chan despite the reviews. I'm a firm believer in reviews but this one time, I don't believe the reviews are 100% correct. Thank you Dr Eunice Chan and Co.

My experience at this clinic has been really disappointing; a waste of time and money. My 4 month old baby was given an urgent referral to assess hip development. Took weeks and following up to even hear back from the clinic, and then the paediatrician who said she could help immediately said at the appointment that she couldn't in fact help and my daughter had to be referred elsewhere (she could have said this initially instead of accepting the referral). After not hearing back from the next clinic, I found they never received the referral. The paediatrician told me to just phone around myself and use my initial GP referral. She also said 'I don't know' when I asked about cause and treatment for a small rash on my daughter's face, which a GP immediately diagnosed and successfully treated the next week. So I paid $310 for zero advice or help and now my daughter has waited a month for urgent treatment which she is yet to receive.

The most appalling practice. Today I’m making a formal complaint to AHPRA regarding the poor care my son received. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

Excellent reception team, was able to get an appointment quickly - via sms process. The team are professional and friendly. Dr was exceptional, didn’t rush, very thorough and took the time with us. Excellent bed side manner with kids too!! Highly recommend!

As per the instructions on the website we submitted our son’s referral to request an appointment. It’s now been over a month and I cannot get a response. I simply want to book an appointment!

With out doubt the worst administration staff I have ever encountered in my entire life. The level of incompetence is truly breathtaking. They don’t reply to emails, don’t keep you informed, change appointments with out letting you know, and expect you to make appointments with no notice.

Just heard John Massie's view on limiting parents concent on 12 year olds. This man is pushing the false narrative and is obviously an agenda pusher. Why not mention the vaccine related death of a 7 year old. He should be ashamed of forcing his opinion on people.

My experience has always been excellent with the admin and paediatrician here. We transferred here from another practice and I'm so glad we did!

They treated my grandson very poorly. Terrible admin team. No bedside manners whatsoever. Dr lokuge-Hayes was ok but These good doctors tolerate badly behaved admin staff, the responsibility falls on the doctors ultimately .terrible practice management .take your kids somewhere else for the best outcome
