So good we returned both days of our stay in Battambang! The fish amok is absolutely delicious, I would strongly recommended having this. The family running the restaurant couldn’t have been more welcoming, so chatty (great English), polite and generous. We were kindly given 2 bottles of water and 2 delicious desserts free of charge. If we were here longer we definitely would have enjoyed the cooking class offered.

We found this nice restaurant in the Lonely Planet guidebook. For that alone we knew we were on the safe side. We were met by Lyly, the owner with whom we went shopping at the market and where he had a chance to explain several things about the local vegetables, fruits and fish. Very interesting and curious. Also we were able to witness the production of coconut milk. Back at the restaurant we had the pleasure of having Lyly's sister as our teacher, who guided us in the preparation of no less than 4 Cambodian recipes. At the end we were left with the recipe book that we could refer to when we returned home. In the end we tried our dishes and all of them were definitely very very good. The people we met, essentially Lyly's family, turned out to be very very nice, friendly and caring. Among other things very attentive to hygiene. Really a wonderful experience with great people. Thank you for this wonderful experience. P.s contact them directly to reserve, it may happen that guides, drivers or hotels tell you they are closed and then send you from other courses they are subsidized by

One of the best experiences we've had in Cambodia so far! We came here for food originally and after having the best amok ever we came back for a cooking class. It was so much fun, the family who own the restaurant are so friendly and kind. We went to the market first to get fresh coconut milk, then returned to start cooking. It was the best evening and the food is incredible! At the end you also get the recipes so you can make them again for your friends and family. It's 15$ per person for 3 hours and it's money well spent! Highly highly recommend! Thank you so much Lyly and Sokkim!

Had an amazing cooking class with Sukkim today! For those who are looking for something to do in Battambang, I do recommend Coconut Lyly! Lovely class setting. Booking is a bit tricky where you need to email them for availability, but they respond quickly to confirm your reservation! Fun stuff for sure

The cooking class with Lyly and his wife was really great. We first went to the market, where a lot was explained to us, which we found really interesting. The cooking class itself was also well designed, you make 4 dishes and the food tasted really delicious. You can also chose a vegetarian option.

We try the cooking school. It’s cost 15$ p.p. And it’s definitely worth it. Best spring rolls in Cambodia and You know what? I did it for my self :D Nice, young owners with good English. We spoke about everything’s, not only about food. Recommend

Small cafe serving traditionally prepared Khmer food and offering Cambodian cooking classes to the public. Using local ingredients and made fresh on order. Small but tasty menu and drinks on offer. Their cooking classes are a hit with visitors!

We did a cooking class today. It was an amazing experience to learn how to cook traditional Khmer food. Lyly and his wife are the most friendly and happy people and made sure we felt very welcome and learned a lot about cooking but also about the Cambodian culture. We went to the market first to buy some ingredients. After that we startet the cooking in a very comfortable environment. We got a lot of explanation and help to cook the best dinner. We really enjoyed to eat what we just cooked. I highly recommend to do a cooking class or if you don't have the time at least to go for dinner.

Stayed 3 days in Battambang and went to this restaurant 4 times!!! Was first blown away by their Green Mango Salad and then returned for the vegan tofu amok (just let them know you’re vegan) which was the best thing I ate in Cambodia. I loved the food and the family who own it so much that I went back for their cooking class which was a highlight of my trip in Cambodia. Highly recommend you do their cooking class because it’s so authentic and in-depth, plus the food at the end is amazing due to the fresh ingredients from the market. No shortcuts are made in the process of their cooking as the coconut milk and pastes are all freshly made. Beautiful place 💕 wonderful experience.

We have taken a cooking lessons with Lyly and her sister a week ago. It was an amazing experience!! We visited the market, tried so many different fruits we didn't know about, learned a lot of things about Cambodian culture. Both speak very good English, and could answer all of our questions ;) Products are fresh, very tasty, and full of flavors! We enjoyed cooking, talking to Lyly and her sister, and of course, eating our four delicious plates menu! Go and enjoy!

We had a brilliant time at Coconut Lyly’s cooking class! They were very informative and friendly so we were made to feel welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed the local market tour, tasting new foods and cooking Khmer local dishes. Great value for money too, would absolutely recommend!

We booked onto the cooking class and were lucky enough to have a private session! We have done a few cooking classes across SE Asia and this has been the best so far! It started with Lyly taking us off to the local market. He was very knowledgable and could answer all our questions. We bought some ingredients and headed back to spend the rest of the time with Savath. She was very funny and made everything clear. She gave lots of handy tips for when we cook the dishes back home. The food was amazing and so tasty - would recommend to anyone who is looking for a chilled out afternoon and a nice meal to finish it off! We made Fish Amok, Lok Lak (Chicken/Tofu), Curry (Chicken/Tofu) and a Chocolate mouse for dessert. All SUPER tasty. Thank you both!

The chef/owner helped me choose a vegan option, they speak English and are very friendly. I had a Tofu Amok. Recommend for Khmer food! You can also do a vegan cooking class.

Such a wonderful place serving delicious local food. I was very pleased to find chicken amok on the menu as I'd wanted to try amok but don't eat fish which is the typical protein for it. The sauce was INCREDIBLE! So delicious, absolutely full of rich creamy flavour but without being heavy. Great amount of chicken in it too and perfectly cooked rice. The restaurant is also run by the most lovely people, they were so sweet and kind and I would've loved to have returned for the cooking class if I was staying another day.

We had a great morning Vegan cooking class at Lyly’s family restaurant. In the morning Lyly himself took us to the market and bought us a Vegan breakfast (sticky rice with banana!). Then he explained a lot about the market and ingredients he bought for our class. It was a joyful tour and Lyly is a very kind person, he seems to genuinely care about his community. After we started cooking with our female host (she is family but not sure how she relates to Lyly). Also full of joy and took the time to explain us in detail how it is to live in Cambodia. This was a nice extra which we didn’t expect. We had a private cooking class so maybe there is no time for it when you’re in a group but we enjoyed the conversation! Then the main attraction, the cooking. We’ve learned to cool four amazing Cambodian dishes. Because we’re Vegan they adjusted all the ingredients so we could eat it. We had a wonderful time and enden eating our own delicious meals. We would recommend everybody to do this cooking class. 100% worth the money and time! Thank a lot Lyly and family!

We had dinner here and then decided to take the cooking class the next morning. The whole experience was delightful and delicious. Family run restaurant and class, everyone was kind and generous. The cooking class did not hesitate on using the best quality ingredients and we genuinely loved what we made!

We went here for lunch one day and this place lives up to the reviews. The family that runs it is super nice and chatty. Food was good with lots of local dishes available, with plenty of vegetarian options too. First time trying beef loklak and it was delicious. Really creative menu as well, loved it. They also offer cooking classes which we didn't do but saw happening when we walked past another day and it looked fun.

We had an great time having a cooking class at coconut Lyly 😀 We first went to the market and got some explanations about the local ingredients, and then cooked 3 dishes and one dessert. Our teacher was really nice and professional, she also gave us some alternatives for the ingredients that can’t be found in Europe. Also, we were given a book with all the recipes 😃 Thanks a lot for this great experience

The cooking class was so much fun! We were the only ones booked, so had a private class with Lyly. Because it was a private class, we were able to choose the dishes from his recipe book that we wanted to cook (3 dishes + dessert). Lyly is a great guy who puts you at ease and teaches you how to cook delicious food. This cooking class is incredible value for money.

The food was fantastic and we went back two days later for a cooking class which I can highly recommend. We were shown around the market where the ingredients are sourced and the recipes were very easy to follow, producing 3 fantastic dishes. The family were lovely and not only taught us a lot about food, but also Cambodian life, weather, marriage and many other things.

Lovely dinner with great food. Love all the dishes especially the Amok - exceptionally thick and rich curry! The restaurant owner / chef is also extremely hospitable. They also run cooking classes at USD 15 per pax with a minimum of 2 pax which covers shopping visits to the market for fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and eating the end product! Would definitely visit the restaurant again in the future!

We went here for dinner and then lunch the next day. They were so sweet and welcoming. The food was the best we've had in Cambodia! The amok was particularly good as the food is really fresh. If you're in the area definitely give this restaurant a go!

Went here for lunch, really good and tasty and great value. Then booked to do a cooking class for 2 days after. We cooked fish amok, vegetable spring rolls, green mango salad and coconut Lyly. The class also includes a market tour where they describe the different ingredients and you get to taste some of them and we bought a bag of fruit (included in our cooking class fee). The food we cooked tasted really good and she explained how we could make it back home by getting ingredients from an Asian store or by using certain substitutes. Would recommend

We had a blast doing a cooking class with Lyly and his family! You can really feel the authentic vibe from the family and the food, and also it tasted amazing! We really loved that we made everything by ourselves, and they didn’t just show how to make the food. We also enjoyed the time at the market, where we got explanations about different kinds of ingredients. Really recommend ⭐️⭐️
