One of the better textile museums in Asia. And across many cultures. Needs a few comfy seats and more energetic staff. A must go see.

Do visit this museum on your way to or from the ticket centre of Angkor Wat. It’s a pleasant building with efficient and responsive staff. The textiles have been well explained, and lots of connections have been made between Ganga and Mekong river. Photographs are not allowed though, so soak in as much as you can. Processes, techniques and garments have been displayed and explained. We got a chance to see the temporary exhibition of a performance costume made locally with lotus fibres and other locally sourced material. Ticket costs 3$ Recommended.

Amazing! - One of the best museums iv been to all trip! I think it’s a must while in Siem reap. It’s so interesting learning about the textiles and how they are made but most importantly the culture that they represent. Is outside of the town centre but 100% worth the tuk tuk. The owner and the woman who showed us around were so kind and informative, they really made the experience special.

The Mekong-Ganga Cooperation Asian Traditional Textiles (MGCATT) is A wonderful place to visit in Siem Reap Cambodia.MGCATT is an initiative by six countries - Cambodia, India, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam launched in 2000 at Vientiane, Lao PDR, for cooperation in tourism, culture, education, as well as transport and communications. Both the Ganga and the Mekong are civilizational rivers, and the MGCATT initiative aims to facilitate closer contacts among the people inhabiting these two major river basins. The MGCATT is also indicative of the civilizational, cultural and commercial linkages among the member countries of the MGCATT down the centuries.

A must-see collection of traditional textiles of Asia, explaining both the differences and connections between textiles, traditional costumes and craftsmanship across Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and India. Well worth a visit. Entrance fee $3.00 for foreigners.

Was an interesting museum to kill some time but not sure if it was worth $5 unless your REALLY into textiles. Your not allowed to take pictures and they follow you around closely one on one. I have a feeling this place doesn't get many visitors.....

This was a great activity to do. It was really interesting to see all the different styles of weaving and the huge amount of work that goes into each piece. The staff were so lovely and for only $3 USD we got a private tour with a lovely staff member who explained all the processes.
