I took my 4 year old daughter today and we had a wonderful visit! The reception area was locked up so at first we thought it was closed but locals pointed to the garden behind where we found a terrific guide. He showed us all life stages of the butterfly including where they care for eggs, cocoons and caterpillars and we learned a lot about conservation efforts. It was a magical experience to see so many varieties thriving in the growth stages and fluttering around throughout the garden enclosures and freely. Would highly recommend! Maybe call first to make sure there is someone there to open up (regardless of website opening hours) or persevere until you find someone as we did. A peaceful, enlightening experience. Well worth it!

This is a great stop between temples or make it a morning out of town and combine with Land Mine Museum 5 minutes up the road. We had a wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who spoke English very well. Its a small complex so tour was only about 30min or so, and we learnt a lot about butterfly we didn't know. Some wonder large colours on display and lots of info about all the stages of life. Highly recommended. We rang to confirm they were open as it was a holiday but pre booking not required but hopefully they'll be too busy soon and you will have to pre arrange tour with guide.

We took the opportunity of stopping here along with the landmine museum on our way back to town from Branteay Srie Temple and really glad we did. Admission is $6 per adult with a guided tour to explain everything front collecting eggs to the final release into the park. It's fascinating and well worth it. Highly recommended, and the staff are so passionate and knowledgeable.Loved it.

Disappointing. I took the kids there as I thought it would be a nice break from temple viewing for them but to be honest it wasn't worth the 45 minute tuk tuk ride to get there and definitely not worth the entrance price. ($6 adults, $3 children. The place was very, very small with a limited number of butterflies on display and the visit is finished very quickly. The staff were nice and pleasant but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

Our trip to this Butterfly Center was a great experience! We stopped by after the landmine museum, and the exhibit exceeded our expectations and was the high point of our day! The experience was more informative and hands-on than we anticipated--we got to see many different breeds of caterpillars and butterflies, and we even got to assist in the process of helping place the cocoons on sticks! Our guide, Phem, was so knowledgeable about the butterfly lifecycles and was able to answer all of our questions. Beyond the information and knowledge he shared about the butterflies and ecosystems, he was kind, easy-going, and made our trip to the butterfly farm very fun! I highly recommend you check out this butterfly center if you are in Siem Reap. :)

Beautiful garden and butterfly sanctuary near Siem Reap. We were given an excellent tour by the guide and we were able to see the fantastic work undertaken by the team. Great opportunity to see some lovely butterflies and plants.

Great if you can make time to visit whether as part of a tour or on your own. Learn how vital butterflies are to the natural environment. This butterfly sanctuary is very eye opening.

Not many Butterflys to see. Too bad. We would not go any more. Save time and money. They show how they keep their Butterflys. The guy was very, very friendly and had lots of time. But in the garden it had only a few Butterflys.

Recommended! Butterfly center allows you to appreciate the rich diversity of local butterflies and their life cycle. Guide was very passionate, knowledgeable and proficient in English. With few tourists since covid, this place is worth a visit.

Trade here has been decimated due to covid so not running at full capacity. That said, our guide was wonderful, obviously passionate about butterfly's and was very knowledgeable. We were treated to a full tour, including the breeding areas and learnt lots about the butterfly life cycle, breeding and feeding. If you find yourself in Siem Reap, do make a visit, it's worth the short tuk tuk ride.

What a really nice place, lies on the way to Banteay Srei temple and is really worth a visit. 6 $ entry which goes to saving the butterflies is more than fair. The guide really knew what he was speaking about and showed us the different butterflies, the caterpillars and how they look after them. I would definetly go again.

This was a very special experience and I highly recommend a stop here when visiting the area. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, and seeing the butterflies in various stages of their life cycle was lovely, but the highlight was the thoughtfulness and knowledge of the guide that so kindly gave me a tour. I learned an incredible amount about the importance of butterfly conservation and the intensive care and work that goes into protecting and preserving our land and our planet in this way. It is evident that the staff care deeply about their mission and I was so impressed by their dedication to this and to educating others gently and with passion. A really exceptional experience for me, I was moved by the level of conscientious compassion demonstrated here.

This is a magic place. Ideal to learn so much about butterflies, in a beautiful garden. We went to BBC after the Bantey Srey temple visit. Really do not miss it, with or without kids. The BBC center also support the surrounding community.

(Translated by Google) Located in Sim Sip, the center has more than 30 species of Cambodian butterflies, making it the largest butterfly packing center in Southeast Asia. When you visit this attraction, you can get good information about the birds, then see the silkworms that are not yet moths, the young moths and finally the adult moths.

Amazing place, had such a nice time here. Worth the price and fun for all ages if you like butterflies and moths. The guide was very knowledgeable and took time to explain things in understandable detail, even showing us eggs etc under microscope. The work done here is helping to keep butterfly populations alive and thriving. Keep up the good work guys!

A small conservation effort that is very people-intensive and just taking shape. The butterfly center houses a few local species, but puts a lot of focus on the painstaking conservation behind maintaining growth in butterfly numbers despite the harsh climate. The tour is a must-do, especially to the structure at the end which is the hub of all activity, monitoring and aiding the species along their life cycle. Quite an eye-opener and a fun experience!

With such an overwhelming number of phenomenal things to do in siem reap this small outpost is completely underwhelming and a wasted journey given how far away it is. Perfect for butterfly experts but you won't see much. Extra star for the super friendly, helpful and enthusiastic guide. ☆

The Butterfly Center is a beautiful place. In the entrance fee is a guide included. He will show you what they are doing there and explain all stadiums of developing of a butterfly. Very interesting! After that you get all the time you need by your self to get around and make picture of the beautiful butterflies. If you like there is a little bar inside where you can recover.

Place is totally unkept during Covid 19. Compared to Butterfly Paradise, this one is somewhat pathetic. It is poorly laid out and the owner is super frugal. There is a lack of parking and is located near a residential area.

The facility is small and the people friendly but I believe they over charge for what is offered. I enjoy photography of flowers and butterfly’s so OK with me. There is about 6 different types of butterfly’s at the time in season and the some of the flowers were in full glory. The explanation given was quick and rehearsed. Did give plenty of time to look on your own. Was not crowded as I was the only one there at the time. Worth the time if you are in area. Don’t make special trip. May not be worth the time and long drive.

This butterfly farm is a real must. There are very nice local butterflies, beautiful flowers and green plants. Take your time. Come early in the morning when the butterflies sit in the sun to dry their wings. On your camera, set a high ISO because butterflies trend to be very lively. Go to 1/500 or higher to get sharp photos.

I visited this place on rainy day and I got offer to pay afterwards depending on how much I enjoyed it. Given the rain some butterflies were hiding but many of them were still flying around doing their business. I was able to take nice pictures of some and garden looked beautiful even wet. Lecture regarding life of butterflies and how they breed them was interesting and educative.

Be sure to visit in the morning as the butterflies are more active before noon. The garden itself is very nice and full of flowers. The guide shows you the lifecycle of butterflies, all stages clearly explained. At time time of visit we only saw like 7-8 different species but very exciting ones, some huge as an adult's palm some intricately coloured. Combine the travel with Banta Srey Temple!

A beautiful place on the road to Banteay Srei temple. There are lots of spectacularly large butterflies so close that they are easy to observe. We were shown round by Vichet, who is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work and speaks perfect English, and saw everything from butterfly eggs to the adult insect emerging from its chrysalis. The centre provides work for local people and is important for education and conservation but its only funding is from the $6 entrance fee. Highly recommended!
