The staff were very welcoming & friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us throughout the whole meal. V was very entertaining while cooking the food, making us laugh & including all 6 of us. Lovely food at a reasonable price. We will definitely be returning. We had a brilliant night celebrating my daughter’s 16th birthday.

Wonderful dining experience at Katana we were greeted by the warm and welcoming staff. The food was absolutely delicious we went for steak and duck teppanyaki don’t miss out on the calamari starter. Chef Bikash's showmanship and engagement with us really enhanced our dining experience for an unforgettable evening filled with charm and a great time reserve a seat at Chef Bikash's table and prepare to be amazed.

Amazing food and chef! We were super hungry and were hoping to get some nice food and set off home. We needed to take a brake before driving, as the portion was big as well. We’ve tried sushi as well. All food was super tasty and nicely served. Thanks to Chef EM for making our night special ♥️

Excellent food cooked right in front of you when ordering tepanyaki. Great atmosphere and amazing table service. Chefs are exceptional whilst staff are so friendly. Free miso soup included. Been there twice now. Second time was for the sushi buffet which was beautiful and you can order as much as you want for £13.

Wow!!! What a place! The service was fantastic and the guy that did our Teppanyaki called Zee! was brilliant. So friendly and so much fun. The food was delicious and it was our wedding anniversary and they all made us feel so special. Thanks again for having us, we will definetly be back. :)

Certainly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to, and the best in Grantham. Delicious food, catered to the individual and excellent customer service. Yam (pronounced em), along side the front of house staff were brilliant. Unbelievable value for money - with Teppanyaki, you have a 1:1 chef preparing food to your exact specification and providing entertainment simultaneously. A true experience, if you are in two minds about whether to try it, I highly recommend you to go.

Ever since moving to England, I’ve been looking for a quality place to find sushi. Katana certainly did not disappoint. The sushi tasted fresh and the portion sizes were great. This American definitely recommends Katana!

We've come to Katana many times before for their excellent Sushi but tonight we had Teppanyaki - and it was great! Special thanks to our expert chef Gee who was not only a superb chef, but also fantastic with his knives and kept us both amazed and laughing all evening

Well done team, I will be back. PS Miso soup needs some attention please.. It's good, not great and I really think you need to be on the main tables to get your monies worth...

Quality food but prefer to sit at the bar with the food cooked In front of you. Excellent service no waiting and staff are really friendly. The children also enjoy and are accommodated. This place is well set out and is always clean and a pleasure to dine at. We are looking forward to return and try the Sushi buffet night Thank you Katana Peter Brown

Food was absolutely delicious, went for our 1 year anniversary and booked a teppanyaki table, our chef was very enthusiastic and sushi was deffo my fav, they could however do better with their mocktails ;)

Fantastic evening last night for my fiancé birthday! We had a teppanyaki table for 9 and it was brilliant! Our chef was Z and he was extremely entertaining and talented! Thank you so much, and can’t wait to come back!

Good sushi and they put a lot of effort into providing good service. I wish the fried chicken starter was crispier, although my partner enjoyed it a lot.

First time we have been and we were very impressed! Food was great, tepanyaki was really good, our chef named because was very entertaining and made it a special night celebrating our daughters GCSE's.! We will be going again soon!

WOW 🍜 🍣 🍱 🍤 🇯🇵 What a place! New fave restaurant right here 🥰 I’m so sad it’s not closer to home (we came about 15 miles based on a family recommendation having had a recent 21st birthday there). Beautiful food, fresh, so tasty, light and piping hot! Exceeded all of our expectations. Champagne cocktails, Tokyo coffee and ferrero roche ice cream. Lovely atmosphere, clean, chilled, funky toilets, and the staff were all so attentive on a really busy evening, friendly and welcoming from the second we walked in. Very passionate about the restaurant, their food and your experience. The restaurant was full of large groups and still we felt like we were the only ones there, miso soup to the table as an appetiser whilst we chose our starters, personalised recommendations based on what we had eaten elsewhere before and our mood. Hot towels at the end and just such a lovely feel. This is my perfect restaurant. Thank you all. We dined on a normal table from the normal menu as we have had tepinyaki many times before in the UK and abroad and just wanted our own space and table tonight. First visit and we are already sharing and telling all of our friends and family. We will be back for sure 💓 thank you all @ Katana xxxx

First visit and have to say very impressed. Food was exceptional as was the service, lovely warm friendly atmosphere, couldn't fault anything. Will definitely visit again.👍

Service was great. We had katsu curry, a beef noodle dish and the crispy noodles. I ate the beef noodles and half of the crispy noodles. My wife ate a couple of mouthfuls of the katsu and tasted the noodles. The crispy noodles we shared as a starter. They were not crispy in the slightest. ALL of the food was very bland and tasteless. All we could taste after was salt. This place is not cheap as far as takeaways in Grantham go. Definitely won't be going back.

Great night for my brothers birthday. Thank you Gi for your culinary skills. Good quality fish and meat. Only gripe is the cost of Asahi beer. 4gbp for half a pint in Grantham was a small surprise!

Went for my lads 17th birthday and was amazed at the standard of food and service. Delicious food and courteous staff and the only reason I dropped a star was because I had the set menu which was £10 more than my lads as it had 3 meats rather than one however much as I had the varied meat quantity wise it was the same so felt it was a touch cheeky. That being said couldn't fault the food itself and will definitely be going back 👍

Fantastic Sunday lunchtime meal, we had a Teppanyaki table, with a chef cooking right in front of us, delicious food, great entertainment, lovely service and average prices. I had rib eye steak with black pepper sauce, veg and rice and it was beautiful. (If you want one of these tables, book in advance). I have since been twice more, still excellent food and great service. The entertainment still good fun, such a delight to return again. Gee was awesome!

Went there with my daughter, son and a few friends. My son and his friends have been to the Katana in Spalding and enjoyed it, so we thought we'd try the one in Grantham. We were the first ones in there at 17.00, but it soon got busy. My daughter has severe dairy and egg allergies and the staff were very accommodating and made sure everything was alright. The service and food were fantastic and we stayed for just over 2 hours and we were never made to feel rushed. Overall a brilliant experience.

Went for the first time and was blown away by the service and quality of the food. We hadn't been to a Japanese restaurant before so went for the basic set 3 course meal that included one meat dish as the main. So much food and very reasonably priced. Service was very quick and thoughtful - miso soup was served while you look at the menu and hot towels brought after the mains. It was busy with a nice atmosphere, everywhere was lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend. If you have a larger party, they have teppanyaki tables where they will come and cook the food in front of you.

One of the best restaurant in Grantham. Loved it. We were group of 17 and all of had great time. Highly recommended.
