The Hotel needs some TLC, the staff we met were lovely. The hotel itself is a little out of the way, which is good for quiet nights, the bar shuts 2330hrs and guests are asked to leave the area at midnight. The food was good, but very repetitive. We spent most of our evenings in the snack bar, as the air conditioning was on 99% of the time. The rooms are clean, the air conditioning could not be altered below 27 (which I believe is government ruled). The pool itself was lovely, nice layout. Uncomfortable sunbeds and hardly any parasols, ideally there should be 1 parasol for every two sunbeds. The pool gates opened at 0900hrs to acquire a parasol and sunbed many had started waiting at 0815hrs. There are not enough sunbeds to accommodate the amount of hotel guests, however the lifeguard does walk around the pool area at certain times during the day and removes towels no one are using... Wish all hotels did this.... I had been told about this by a lady on our first day, who then went to lunch at 1330hrs and never returned, her towel and four others belonging to her family were not collected until after 1800hrs! We as a family did enjoy our stay, however we will not return. We have a longer hotel essential criteria list now!

Nice place for a family holiday Has a really nice atmosphere. Lovely coastal walks. Little far to take a walk to any bars/shops during the evening but bus service is great. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool ok if people stop putting towels on sun loungers

We stayed here for 5 nights. Kids have plenty entertainment. Drinks are served with smile on face best waiter Richard who will make Your day with joke. Swimming pool as You would expect gives lots of joy. Food is tasty breakfast nearly same every day but lunch and dinner is different every day. Me and partner same as parents in law enjoyed here everyday. Hotel beds clean beds made everyday cant complain will be definitely coming back. Bus stop outside hotel so if You want go to Barcelona Or Salou centre it's not far not take long to get there. Definitely worth recommend to families.

i stayed here with my man dad and 3 young siblings 4 years ago. it was my first holiday and it was the best time of my life. i have so many great memories from this place and i’ll never forget it. my young brother was sick during our stay and we did not no the way to any sort of pharmacy but the staff saved us and bought us medicine out of their own pockets. the food was amazing and apartments were lovely and perfect. i was only 11 when i stayed here but i’ll always remember it. if your thinking about coming here please do, i still tell people to come here to this day. thank you for making me have such happy memories

We really enjoyed staying here. Close to some lovely beaches, but nice not to be in the busy centre. Staff are very friendly, food, entertainment and apartment was great.

The rooms are very spacious and cleaned on a daily basis. The balconies are big with amazing views depending on what side you are on. Had a very warm welcome from the reception staff. All the other staff from cleaners, kitchen, and bar staff are all polite. The entertainment staff was amazing and went above and beyond to interact with all guests during the day with pool activities and on the evening entertainment. There were multiple times i were laughing uncontrollably. The hotel's location is a 10 - to 15-minute walk to local beaches as well as an amazing 45 walk-in to main salou. There are also bus stops right outside the hotel's front doors to take you where you may want to go. It's also in local distance to theme parks and water parks. I spent 10 days here and I will be going back.

Love this hotel, feels like home as we've been so many times. The staff are really friendly and helpful. This year, due to covid, it was self catering but didn't stop our enjoyment. Usually do all inclusive and the food is amazing, with lots of choice. There is a bus stop right outside which gives easy access in to Salou, Portaventura, Cambrils, La Pineda and Tarragona. There is a lovely walk (approx 15mins) downhill to La Pineda also. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Hotel staff were amazing! Couldn’t do enough for you security were also great. Food was good something for everyone for every part of the day. Snack bar was great offering ham burgers, pizza, crisps etc. My only complaint was the juice at breakfast tasted watered down. A roast dinner and bbq were also served throughout the week. The room. The beds were comfy and the two bed apartment spacious and very clean on arrival. The rooms next door to you can become very noisy very quickly but this isn’t the hotel fault and they deal with noise seriously. Balcony is very spacious. My only big complaint is the Wi-Fi didn’t work the full week we were in the hotel. Entertainment is good but repetitive bingo and quiz every night the quiz was often certain subjects that we didn’t know about kids Tv show, superhero’s and football this would have been better as a general knowledge quiz. The entertainers were amazing though and so friendly! Location is a fair walk away away from la Pineda but still a very quiet and safe area. We didn’t feel unsafe once and the area and hotel are spotless. Bus stops right outside the hotel to and the hotel can give you the bus times and number on a card. There is a cove beach 10 minutes away from hotel Overall we would return and recommend to other individuals.

Beautiful area, outside of main salou so quieter and just perfect for me. Hotel apartments spacious clean and staff where really helpful. Food was brilliant and plenty of choice. On first appearance some of the hotel looked little tired but great value for money.

Great location. Has its own bus stop too which was so useful. Sadly the rooms are in dire need of repair, they are all brown tiles, floor snd furniture. Stuck in the 80s comes to mind, I would give it 5 star if it weren't for the rooms. Entertainment was OK, singers mostly. Food was lovely perfectly cooked and different every evening. Needs another bar open at dinner time. One bar, with one person serving up to 4 drinks a person. And over 200 people plus to serve. A few updates and we would return.

Absolutely not what we wanted in a holiday. There is nothing like the description on the holiday site. The rooms absolutely dirty. Our bedding was changed every 4 days. Our towels were changed 3 times in 2 weeks. Caught cleaner sitting on the kids beds on her phone. When she seen us she made on she had done the cleaning. And of cause she had not done a thing. We reported this to the reception but nothing was done, apart from the hotel keeping out of the way, because they didnt like to hear the truth, on the state of the whole establishment, Same old food on service, day in and day out. Soft drinks watered down. No flavours whatsoever, same day in and day out for the kids' night entertainment. Very very rare to hear one English word in the music. We are very unhappy about the state of the accommodation..doors get jammed toilet seats broken, too far from any amenities . Cost of travelling every day. Having to look elsewhere to eat. But finally we found somewhere after a week. Great for meals and kids' entertainment . And for adults too.

Large clean apartments, staff are very friendly. Food in the restaurant is good and we are happy with the variety. Snack bar is the usual, toasties, pizza, chips etc but is handy if the kids want a snack. Location is good too, up a bit of a hill but nothing too taxing, local busses run past often and are ideal if youve walked down the hill and just want to get back a bit quicker. Pool is good too, gets fairly busy in the middle of the day, but family oriented.

Clean and well presented hotel. Big enough rooms for a family of 5 with balconies which were amazing. The rooms are basic and the beds were pretty uncomfortable after a week but it's livable for a short holiday. The kitchen has a kettle microwave sink and fridge. The bathroom is right in the center of the room with no extraction, make of that what you will after eating far too much for a week. Food is excellent. Something for everyone every night eat as much as you like and we did. Slightly more restrictive with drinks giving small cups all the time and the free coffee is terrible. We don't drink a lot but we made use of the constant supply of pepsi for the kids. It is a holiday after all. Sugar free obviously. Getting the right barman makes a difference. The grumpy older English waiter gave us no end of amusement without even trying. He was taking nobody's shut and made us laugh every time we saw him. Carol the lady on reception couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating she was a real pleasure to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. From the moment we arrived and our room wasn't ready (we were early) she set about making us welcome, fed and taken care of. The entertainment on offer wasn't for us but others looked to be enjoying it and the team were always friendly even if we didn't want to join in. We watched from a distance most nights and everyone looked to be having the cheesiest of good times. The pool is freezing cold in October but it was 26 degrees most days so I guess that's they way it is. There is no music round the pool. Makes it seem too it quite sometimes and accentuated the screaming kids a lot. All in all its a budget friendly family place, 20min walk from La Pinda center but a bit further from actual Salou. Tbh there's not much difference between the towns but the beaches are amazing. Warm water no tide, friendly fish swim around your feet but don't bite. It felt very safe at all times day or night around the hotel, in the towns, there was never any trouble or signs heavy drinking. It's not a stag and hen place. It was quiet when we arrived but it got slightly busier as the week wore on. You can walk via the coastal path to Salou in about an hour or get a no.47 bus outside the hotel in 20min.

Just spent 11 wonderful days here with my young son. Hotel is clean and well presented. All staff are very friendly and attentive. The room was very spacious with a large balcony, cleaned everyday with fresh towels supplied. Food was very good with a good selection, a selection of meats, a fish dish, pasta dish and vegetables as well as a fully stocked salad bar. All fresh and tasty. Would recommend:)

Hotel very nice and clean, if a little dated in places. Pool area very good think it would be very busy in summer months though just wish it was non smoking . Pool bar good for drinks, snack bar inside had good snacks all day. Food was ok but is very limited if you are vegan like myself but chef is willing to do you something which was good . Close to 2 good beaches easy walking distance. Entertainment staff were excellent keeping both adults and kids entertain during the day and evenings

The hotelfrom top to bottom, staff and amenities on site are top notch for a family holiday. We have just arrived home today and are missing it already, my elderly father was with us on his first holiday and already were booking festival village again soon. Thank you from the entire McAteer family.

Where to start with this hotel, as we arrived there was an error with our booking from the provider to the hotel. We got here at 11.30pm, the staff saw we had small childeren and stright away offered some food for us while we sorted the rooms which was amazing. The matter was resolved the next day as currently, we didn't have anywhere to stay. To say the staff are very friendly, hotel very clean is 100% what we saw. I would advise going more into the second we of June as more parts of the town and hotel will be open then. Great staff, great hotel and will be booking again for sure.

We arrived a week ago to blood and a very drunken group kicking off at 3.30 in the morning, not what we had hoped after a long days travel. But the receptionist was amazing and we made it to our room very happy with the size and the fact that I could have a cuppa. Food was ok, gutted that you cater so much for the English and not much on offer for Spanish food. Jack you bar man was fantastic, a true gent who was polite and always smiling and made our trip a happy one. Happy birthday for the weekend hope you have a fab birthday Jack. Receptionist always full of information and friendly nothing was to much trouble for them. Entertainment we didn’t see as it wasn’t for us what they had. Public transport was amazing and salou is a beautiful town as is la Pineda a few euro on the bus which is directly outside the hotel. Food always on the go, pool area great and clean. Would I come back Hell yes fab week away the staff certainly make you feel welcome and so friendly, great time had by myself and my partner.

Thoroughly enjoyed out stay here. The apartments were very spacious and balcony was big too and secure . The pool area was clean and safe. The entertainment every night was fantastic . Kids loved it. Mauricio was fantastic the kids club coordinator. The food was a good selection but I'm a picky eater . The snack bar was great though. Definitely recommend. It is a 2.50 euro bus ride from salou or a 10 euro taxi fare . but suited as was safer as salou was v busy.

Very clean although a little tired in the outdoor areas. The food was all very nice and the staff helpful. The only downside was the location, quite far out from anywhere really

Snack bar is basic beers OK rooms are very basic but air conditioning is good location is quiet but the bus stop is right outside and its only 10-15 min walk down to the beach restaurants and night life salou is just a 10 min bus journey

Not a nice place to stay the wall tiles were coming off the wall the shower leaked, none of the doors inside the apartment closed, we book the room for 5 people and there was only 1 double and 2 single bed which ment 2 of the kids took turns sleeping in the bed while the other slept on the sofa. Food was the same every day for lunch and dinner. We went out one day and came back to our apartment door wide open the cleaner apparently forgot to close it. The one star was given for the staff of the reception and bar. SAFE TO SAY I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS PLACE UNLESS A MAJOR REFURBISHMENT WAS DONE TO IT AND AT THAT ITS A MAYBE.

We stayed here in June- family of 5. Kids aged 9-14. We went All inclusive. It was fab, food, pool, apartments etc. We had v.loud lads over our head one night, and immediately they were told to be quiet or they would be removed ASAP. Would have preferred if it was closer to salou, but bus ride in is 15 mins. Loved it

Had a lovely week at the hotel, great food and very nice staff. The hotel is now a bit dated but has everything you need for your stay. Entertainment for kids a bit repetitive and not that good for adults

Lovely spacious apartment spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds and good variety of food always presented nicely. Friendly and welcoming staff. Couldn’t fault anything even the tea was as good as home very unusual for Spain. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay.

Great staff, service & good selection of food. Hotel is a bit out of the way in the old town but great if you want quiet

  • 3/5 Raymond D. 2 years ago on Google
Rooms is basically a room with beds pushed together and that's all you can get in there, not a chair, table , not very clean . Most of the staff are hard working, pleasant, food is passable, can say will NOT be back to villamarine
