I absolutely loved loved this hotel. The service is impeccable and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The room was roomy (by London standards), gorgeously decorated and the bed was so comfortable. From the welcome drink and snacks to the turndown service and little nightly bedside treats (like aromatherapy spray) this hotel makes you feel special from the moment you walk in the door! It’s very centrally located in a quaint area and a short 10min walk to Victoria station. I would absolutely stay again. 10/10

We stayed in Wintringham, the 2 bedroom residence. It had everything we needed for the week and more. The bathrooms had heated floors which were an unexpected surprise. There is a cute patio you can walk out onto. It is in a great location, walking distance to many sites and close to the underground train. The staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The Four Seasons cancelled our reservation which led us to The Guardsman. Location is SUPERB. On a quiet street, yet a 2-3 minute walk from Buckingham Palace. The service was great and the room service food was actually quite good (one of the better hotel salads I've had). While our room was small (particularly from American standards) it was cozy. The heated floors in the bathroom were a real win as well as the speakers from the TV which could also be played in the bathroom. Staff were very friendly, lent us umbrellas when needed, and offered a free drink during check-in. Would stay here again!

Had a 4 night stay here in October 2023 with my wife. We were looking to stay somewhere different to the Soho / Covent Garden area and within walking distance to Buckingham Palace, which this most definitely is. The rooms are of a high standard, the staff are excellent. Other than a welcome drink we didn’t end up dining or eating here. Would definitely return.

We stayed in The Guardsman room where we had a luxurious stay. The bedroom was beautiful and very comfortable, our bathroom was wonderful with a rainfall shower and a gorgeous bath! We were able to slide the doors back that separated the bath to our bedroom which enabled us to have a lovely bath and watch a film at the same time! Breakfast was brilliant, very tasty and filling, with everything cooked to a high standard. Staff were always on hand to help in anyway they could and gave great service. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you'd like to spend a few days exploring London.

Rooms were nice, but could have been a little cleaner. Shower and bathtub were quite nice. Staff were helpful on arrival and got us into our room just shy of 2pm. Overall id say its worth about 350 pounds a night, not quite what we paid.

This is an exceptional hotel. I travel a lot and usually spend a bit too much on hotels — but this was the first time I really thought it was worth it. The rooms are beautiful, you are treated like royalty. I can’t recommend this place enough.

An absolute glorious almost secret hotel. The afternoon tea supersedes Harrods, Fortnum & Mason and many others for its quality, service, taste and presentation. Staff extremely respectful, humble, attentive and polite. Staff helped explain options food, tea etc. real patience service with a small always. The atmosphere is beautifully luxurious, staff encouraged us to relax. We did not feel rushed at all. Made a wonderful special effort for my husbands birthday making a special chocolate cocktail for him. Great fantastic place you must try. Can’t wait to go back x

Top notch hotel. I was amazed by the price in London because of the amount of service we received. I’ve been to London four times and this was my favorite hotel out of all stays. On a quiet road, walking distance to easy places to eat after long days exploring, great food, superb tube lines close, close to some of the shows you’ll probably see, I could go on. The staff was extremely attentive from the managers to the cleaning crew. You will not be disappointed when you stay here.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience at The Guardsman. First, location is very central. Near to the St. James Park tube station, with several decent pubs nearby. Second, the staff at the Guardsman were all incredible. From the front door staff, the bar and restaurant team, the cleaning staff, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay feel luxurious. Third, the breakfast at The Guardsman is terrific. There are plenty of options, but we highly recommend the "Traditional" breakfast. We also tried the Smashed Avocado Toast and the French Toast with bacon. All absolutely delicious. The tea there is also quite good. The room was comfortable, cool at night, and, most importantly, very quiet. We were able to get a great night's sleep all nights we stayed. This hotel comes very highly recommended, the level of service was phenomenal for the price, and I have no doubt that the next time we're in London, we're staying here!

The hotel is really pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful, the room was great and the location is absolutely fantastic. Where it loses a star is the restaurant. For context I think it is important to remember that my partner and I were literally the only guests from 19.00 - 20.30 on a Saturday night. If the operation starts to creak with a whole 2 people on a Saturday there might be structural issues. Service was friendly and helpful if ever so slightly slow. The food was overpriced. Starters good. Burger good, but no burger can be £18 good, unless it comes with a hug from the chef. We paid £12 for 2 portions of triple cooked chips and for our money, we received, 12 chips between us. That works out as £1 per chip - I don't care if they were fried in gold, no chip could live up to that, it's actually unfair on the chip to burden it with the weight of that expectation. For that money, or half that money, or half again, I am afraid the chips were forgettable. The steak (£35) was thin, overcooked and a bit tough, the waitress asked me how I wanted it cooked, had she shown me how thin it was I would have assured her it doesn't matter, just show it a pan and that thing will be well done. Anyway I have got a bit carried away, sorry to be mean, I gave it four stars because the hotel itself is great, but I was very disappointed at the value for money in the restaurant.
