I have been going to Maurice Jones & Son (now run by Russell) for well over 20 years now. The meat is amazingly good! There is a review about the topside and ham below and I can’t understand it. I love the ham. It is so much better than the supermarket packaged stuff. We have had topside regularly over the years and it is also very good. They are always helpful with any queries that I have. We buy our free-range turkey from them every Christmas. The chicken doesn’t disintegrate when cooked. The barbecue food is lovely and the marinades don’t contain nuts, which I suddenly realised was important when my niece was coming to lunch. I sent an email to Russell. He was on holiday on a beach and contacted his staff and they checked and emailed me and let me know that the marinades were safe. This was all in a couple of hours. Fantastic service!

Just finished eating the best home cooked steak of my life thanks to this incredible butcher's. I'm no MasterChef, but with ingredients like this you can't go wrong. The Ribeye and Fillet steak were out of this world and I can't wait to have it again. I highly recommend the sausages too, both the award-winning blend and the chicken and apricot which were an absolute delightful suprise! The chicken skewers were delicious and great for a BBQ too! Can't wait to try the minted lamb steaks next. 10/10

I have never purchased meat here but if I am passing at lunchtime the baps are out of this world. Favourite is (Tuesdays) pork with stuffing and crackling.... Best lunchtime treat you could ever give your mouth..... Roast beef Thrursday is phenomenal as well. Great stuff keep up the good work, one day a will treat my self to some steaks as they look amazing.

Great quality (the Oatlands sausages are amazing) and service is always so friendly.

Great quality meat. Including liver. I go once a week for my health food. Update: forgive me Russell for I have strayed. I tried CostCo meat - slightly less expensive - and here's what I found: - CostCo includes lower quality tougher meat around the bone on rib - Both cooked on reverse sear - Russell's meat is far more tender and better flavour So I am reconfirming this rating.

Brilliant find, I had three of the finest T-bone steaks I’ve ever had and for a reasonable price.. They followed social distancing rules and a young lad was constantly cleaning.. Definitely recommend and I will be returning, even though it’s a little drive away...

A superb butchers that offers fantastic quality meat and great value for money. The meat here is head and shoulders above anything you buy from the supermarket. Russell and the team provide friendly and personal service that is rare to find these days, it's like stepping back to a time before hypermarkets and mass produced meat. Highly recommended!

Amazing service and never had a bad bit of meat , even when your not on an ‘oatlands budget” there’s something for everyone And you have to try the oatlands special sausages

We've recently been there and the quality of the beef is poor, and we expect better as it was top side, and the ham we got last week was the worst we've ever had. I afraid to say that we will be not going back again. As I've found out before that when you are a new customer you get good quality products, and then slowly it gets worse.

Have known morris since i was little! And he was superb! His son now has taken over and the high quality is the same! Love coming to get our meat from them
