The room we stayed at, #4, was very spacious, clean, and had its own bathroom. The location was excellent near a lot of restaurants and stores as well as public transportation to take you anywhere in London. Tony & his staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. We recommend for a budget friendly stay in London.

Great accommodation at great value! Clean rooms and quiet area. This area is well connected with Southern Railway and bus stations within 5-6 min walk so it is not a problem getting to Central London. The owners are extremely kind and accommodating, they really provided excellent service. You are definitely getting the best bang out of your buck! Highly recommend!

Great value for money, friendly staff, convenient location. I stayed in room 7 with a private shower and en-suite, doubt you'd find anywhere else with those facilities at this price in London. The dining area that opens up onto the courtyard/garden is lovely.

We were there for six days and we could feel more kind and humane than any other accommodation. The transportation is very convenient and the distance to London is about 35 minutes, so I recommend this place if you want to stay in a London home at a reasonable price.

I loved the stay at this guesthouse. This was my first trip to London with my girlfriend and we were happy that we chose this place for a week's stay. Located in a quiet neighborhood, well connected via Bus and Train to all parts of the city. The rooms are cleaned and well maintained. Tony and Lisa were wonderful hosts. Even before I boarded my flight from Germany, Tony already informed me about the transport situation in London and provided alternate option to reach the guesthouse easily. Check-in and check-out was very convenient. I will definitely choose this as my place for any future visits to London. Thank you again and I absolutely recommend this place.

- John and Tony are exceptional hosts. - Location is central with great transport links in and out of London and to the South/South-East of England (Clapham Junction is a less than a 10-minute walk away). - A number of restaurants and shops within walking distance. - Recently renovated rooms and communal spaces. - John also went out of his way to hold onto luggage despite it being outside of regular operational hours. - Will be heading back here whenever I need to stay in/near London.

Best accomodation we have been in all of our stays in London. Nice room, with toilet and sink, and huge bed. We also had another bathroom outside with shower just for us. Also, two kitchen, one of then really nice and warm in the garden. Staff very helpfull. Bus straight to Trafalgar Sq. With this price, we will came back in our next trip.

LGH is an ideal location for access to great restaurants on Northcote and the train station at Clapham Junction. The staff is polite, friendly and accommodating. They will respond to special needs as well. Our room was kept clean and safe. We try to stay at LGH every time we travel to London. The cost of the rooms is a great bargain.

Absolutely amazing place. The hosts helped us get our phone back since forgetting it in an Uber. They were so kind and helpful that after 2 days, we got it back. Great rooms and great people!! Highly recommend!

I went to this family guest hotel last weekend. I’m very happy that I stayed there. The hotel is clean and the rooms so nice. The owners that received us were polite and gentle. I surely will come back for the next holiday in London.

I stayed here with family after speaking and meeting Tony a week prior. The whole stay was amazing. It's the perfect spot if you want somewhere peaceful to stay for couple of days. Rooms are a great size and the property offers 2 kitchens and a conservatory perfect for the summer. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again.

In every way I recommend this guest house if you want to stay in London. Was very kindly received also in between always friendly and helpful. Also, everything was neatly clean. Food and drink is not available within the accommodation, but there is plenty within a short walking distance for breakfast to dinner. The bus stops very close to the guest house, where the connection to the city centre is therefore easily made.

The welcome we received from Tony was so incredibly warm. Indeed, the reception from him over the entireity of our 3 night stay was fantastic. He chatted to us about what we were up to while we were down, spoke in such a friendly manner and made us both feel so at home. Likewise his sister who does the cleaning, she was equally as welcoming. The food was enjoyable. The room we had was stunning - truly worth the money (which, for inner London, is very good value!). Nice and spacious, and the en-suite bathroom was exquisite! And for inner London, the parking on the street is ample too! Would highly recommend the Lavender Guest House to ANYONE looking to stay in London! Cannot speak highly enough of it!

It is true when other reviewers say this place is a real gem in London. The room is one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Really well cared for property and John, the manager/owner(?) was so helpful and friendly. I left my luggage with him because I was too early for check in but he gave me my room key anyway, and when I came back later in the evening my bag was already inside the room waiting for me. If I could rate this place with 6 stars I would. Great place. Great value for money. If I need a place to stay in London again, I'll be back.

Just booked a night as it was close to the station and Clapham grand. Very pleasantly surprised, the manager/owner is very welcoming and you can tell she cares a lot about the hotel. Everything was exceptionally clean and well thought-out. Beds are comfy and showers are great. Close to lots of restaurant and pubs but hotel itself is on a quiet side street from the main road. Beats travelodge or premier inn any day!
