Nice, secluded garden owned by elderly couple nestled in between high rise buildings. The Lady Owner was very friendly and accomodative. She took us around a small trail around her house while explaining the herbal plants there. Ashitaba was the highlight of the day! We bought a packet of dried leaves to make tea. This is a must visit place in Cameron Highlands. Parking and entrance are free.

I enjoyed a stroll around Tan's garden today. There are some beautiful plants to see here. Tan helped me decide where to go next on my Malaysia tour. Recommend to visit if you're staying in Tanah Rata. Please note this is no longer where trail 10 starts. For trail 10, go to Jalan Carnation 2.

It's a disaster, a construction is taking place near the garden and it's in a big mess , I believe this should be removed as an attraction

Beautiful and serene place full of exotic local flowers. Mrs Tan is very friendly and hospitable to visitors. She also has plants for sale so don't be afraid to ask! Just remember to bring mosquito repellant so that you don't end up as a blood buffet!

Such a lovely place! The garden is owned by a lovely 70 year old local lady. Shes been working on the garden for over 30 years. There are a lot of beautiful and colorful flowers! A lot of hard work and passion! When we arrived she met us with a big smile! She gave us a tour around the garden, and told us about all the different flowers and plants. She also told us about the japanese tea she makes, called «ashitaba». A tea known to be very good for your health. She’s been drinking it for years herself. Its free to visit the garden and she does not expect anything in return. She will, however, be very grateful if you want to support her and her business. You can buy the tasty tea, or beautiful flowers and plants you find around the garden. I recommend this place a lot! Thank you Tan for your hospitality!

Very nice place to visit. Owner is friendly and explains to us anything we ask about plants. A variety of plants but mostly camellia. Got a nice cat and three dogs (in cages). Entrance is free and you can walk around the compound. They sell ashitaba, an Asian herb. Prices range on size RM10, RM20, RM50. Got some mosquitoes.

Had a joyful stroll around the camellia garden. What a hidden gem behind all these concrete jungles. Mdm Tan is very helpful and shared with us her tips of growing the camellia flowers.

A must visit every time I go to Cameron. Had great talk with Uncle & Aunty Tan. They planted with love the plants around their house. They sell some plants too. Can ask any advice from them. Sadly the developers beside this house make a lot of damages. I wish they have a good long healthy happy life forever. Thank you for the good hospitality.

Lovely garden owned by a lovely elderly woman. The diversity of plants is interesting, thanks even though not all were in bloom during our visit... Ashitaba grows in large quantities and are available for purchase as well... Will definitely visit again next time I visit CH..

Went to walk around the area. It's a lot more smaller today as the owner informed me that half of the garden was taken to build more buildings, constructions are around this small garden. Overall, I think it'd be nice to visit this place as she took care of it alone. Some plants are sold here, no fees, very friendly owner. Guided me and my friends inside the Garden and talked a lot about plants. She have Osmanthus, Anthurium, Camelias, Orchid, Airplants and a lot of other plants around there. Might have to be carefull as there are mosquitoes there too! Parking can be parked anywhere as long as we don't disturb the traffic !

Awesome place that had been built by a passionate gardener over the last 30 years. Extremely knowledgeable about her plants. A great stop in tanah rata, that doesn't require you to join all the traffic in going towards brinchang. There's a big development project going on next door that will slice into her garden a little (the garden will still remain though). Come see it before that part of it is lost.

Back after 3 years, her garden space had been reduced due to massive construction all around. She still have a variety of plants on offer at reasonable prices. Lovely friendly lady willing to lend her expertise to our enquiries.

Awesome garden with all types of plants like bromeliads, wild begonias, anthuriums, herbs etc. Mrs Tan is a great host sharing all types of info on her beautiful garden plants. Bought many irresistible plants from her too. Definitely will be back again on my next trip to Cameron Highland.

Thank you the owner for providing a free of charge sight seeing place, but I personally think that the garden has much room for improvement (description on the species etc)

Uncle Tan super friendly owner brought me a tour to his garden, vast experience of gardening and its precious moment to learn without paying a cent. Camellia is one of my favourite flower but not really suitable for hot and sunny days in town. Relaxing and fun visting just to spend few moment while visiting Cameron Highland.

For garden enthusiasts who love to chat about plants. Mr and Mrs Tan are a bit eccentric and love to show their collection of medicinal / culinary herbs and flowers. Lots of things you won't see in Malaysian lowlands. Messy and kinda charming in a very grown-in way. This is very different from the tacky touristy locations in Cameron Highlands. Next to the entrance of Jungle Trail 10. Unfortunate that a government housing project is causing havoc nearby. A rare and more personal experience here. Visit before it's too late...

Beautiful garden, as explain by Mr. Tan some of the plants here are the only one in Asia. I have seen many and indeed the collection here are the best and still yield flowers. If you are visiting Cameron Highland thus is a MUST visit.

(Translated by Google) An extra excursion is not worth it, but if you go on Trail 10 on the Gunung Jasar is worth a short stop as before. As already mentioned by some, the garden is only a small part of what it used to be. Madame Tan takes care of the remaining garden but continues eagerly and just this contrast to the directly adjacent construction delusion is again an attraction in itself.

Lovely sharing by Mrs Tan who is passionate about her garden and plants. Shame about the new development next to her house that's affected the plants and the layout of her garden. I hope she'll be able to replant her flowers when the new development is completed.

Lovely place and lovely owners. A shame I couldn't see the garden as it was originally but still beautiful. I was explained everything about the flowers, funny anecdotes as well. Totally recommended place, the owners are lovely. Helped me when the mosquitoes ate me alive (it was too much really but they were so kind helping me to treat the bites).

Even just few minutes from the town you can feel like you have been dropped in the middle of a jungle. Trail is really interesting and you have to have some stamina as it's all the way up, so get ready for sweating.

I personally wouldn't bother... was not a lot from my perspective to see... only decent and interest of the places was this one for me... right next to a big excavation/construction site and the other side is dilapidated apartments.

The gardens is still open (Dec 2019). However, the area has been greatly reduced by housing development around it. Quite sad. Mrs Tan is very friendly and welcoming. A nice walk around the gardens. Friendly cat there. It is located behind an apartment block.

(Translated by Google) According to Tan, her garden was so large that it reached as far as the edge of the forest. Now it is a lot smaller because the rest has been taken over by building promoters who want to plant around 200 apartments. Tan herself is a very friendly woman who gives some explanation about the plants that she cares for.
