Situated in Akwa close to Orange, Krystal Palace Hotel is a 5 star hotel in the heart of Douala. The staff are courteous and the main hall is grandiose. The hotel has multiple lifts located at different sections of the hotel which takes a while to get used to. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant is to die for . The pool is next to the restaurant and connects to the kiddies corner. There is an underground parking with a capacity to park about 40 cars. On the first floor there are 2 ATMs , the Spa and a gym. The rooms are elegant with all the amenities expected of a 5 star hotel. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it for anyone on a vacation or business trip.

So I visited Krystal Palace Hotel yesterday, we were 5 young people. But all my anticipation was met with disappointment. Honestly the only good service I enjoyed was the valet, there were so polite. But the service who attended to us was by far the worst I've met in recent times. First they gave us just the drink menu and when we asked for food menu she said she thought since we were many we will only be drinking gosh🤦🏽‍♀️ then we finally ordered food and it took forever to come when it did it was not worth it. Not up to 5mins after the food was served she came with the bill 😞 with the excuse of changing shifts. I'm not sure I'll recommend nor visit again. I think they need to stop looking down on people cuz I really felt disrespected, on my birthday dinner nahhhh.

I visited Douala for a conference and lodged in this hotel. The service from the reception all through my stay was excellent. The staff were warm and friendly. I was taken on a tour of the facilities in the hotel. They have a few retail shops, a restaurant, gym, swimming pool and the spa is currently being fitted out. I saw the concept designs of the spa which would have a nail studio, manicure, pedicure spot, massage parlour and sauna. I hope to see the spa the will be operational when I visit again. When I walked into the room I had a personalised welcome message from the Front Desk Officer which I felt was sweet. I had some hot water challenges, called the room service and they sent me a technician who resolved my issues. The dishes at the restaurant are limited though, I struggled more at dinner times but breakfast was better. My feedback to the DG was that they had good customer service, they needed to improve on the offering in the restaurant. I question some choices they made with regards to finishing materials and decisions to use certain contractors but that cannot be resolved now. Overall I had a fantastic time there and will definitely stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at Kristal Palace Hotel in Cameroon. The service was perfect, and rooms were clean and cleaned at all times as needed . The breakfast lounge was first-class, with variety to choose from. In fact, I was surprised to have such a wonderful hotel experience that I never expected . They also had airport shuttle bus that picked us up from the airport at no extra cost. Just brilliant 👏

Honestly theres no other hotel in Douala like this hotel. On point for everything, clean, welcoming staff, everyone is always smiling, comfortable bed, meals are great. Great view of the city and seaport. Infact krystal palace is douala and douala is krystal palace. Best choice for vacation.

Very unpleasant experience, got there wanting to eat, the receptionist said just buffet available. We said okay , Immediately a worker came asking questions : -Why are we here? -What do we living ? Then later said we can’t enter because they are expecting an important personality whereas other people were getting in. I mean if you are closed for the day. You should put up a sign not questioning why people come to your place or what they do for living etc

Good property. The only negatives: 1) Lot of their restaurants and lounges and other amenities are yet to open. 2) No hot water supply in rooms.

When my sister and I arrived the waiter attending to us presented us with the menu and we asked for a basket of chips. It was featured as an option on the menu but the waiter told us we couldn’t just get a basket of chips and we had to order it with something else. We were confused and asked why they hadn’t updated their menu and said it could cause confusion for other customers but the waiter dismissively said they would just explain the change and if the customer didn’t understand it was their problem. We were taken aback by this response. In the end we decided to order two plates of chicken and two baskets of fries. But after waiting for some time the waiter only came out with one of our dishes. We then had to wait even longer for the second dish to come out. We found this service unprofessional and felt that because we were just two young ladies she didn’t give us the kind of service we were expecting.
