We enjoyed this fort during the day. Was fun to explore on our own. A guide tried to join us but we did not find that helpful. Was better to just walk and explore on our own. It was designed by the same architect that designed the forts in San Juan Puerto Rico.

follow me on instagraam for more photos b.schroner :).Historical place from where there is a beautiful view of old and new Havana. Ik my opinion shops with Rum and cigars are unnecessarily overpriced. You can find cheapest places in Cuba

Nice place to visit. Bring some local money to pay for the entrance and for the toilet admission 😉

Nice to visit, a fortress used to defend against marauding pirates. This is a national treasure to Cuba. We really enjoyed the tapered defense stations for soldiers to sight and fire upon pirate ships with a well protected rock wall in front. Highly recommended to visit this site.

Beautiful castle with great views and a solid exhibit detailing the castle's history. The views of the city if Havana and the ocean from the parapets is incredible, especially in the late afternoon. Unfortunately we showed up kind of late, being misinformed about the closing time, and discovered that they started closing the exhibit about 45 min before the actual closing, so get there early!

Nice venue with a rich history. A three amigos (rum, coffee, cigars) shop and a small market can also be found on the premises with some nice products. Some signage to direct tourists would be beneficial. A 'must see' in Havana.

Iconic Fort in Havana Beautiful surroundings with great view but unfortunately the place looks depleted and poorly maintained For a main tourist attraction the standard of maintenance is disappointing This city has a lot of beauty but the condition needs a lot of improvement

A great historic place good for a long wander around with sea views as you go along. The Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro is also known as the Castle of the Three Kings of Morro. It a historic fortress guarding the entrance to the Havana harbor in Cuba and was designed by the Italian engineer Battista Antonelli and built by the Spaniards, starting in 1585. The name “Morro” refers to a rock visible from the sea, serving as a navigational landmark. The fortress played a crucial role in defending Havana against raids and invasions with a boom defence chain strung across the water.
