One our favorite bakeries hidden in the heart of Geneva. We grab scones every time we come in and then usually a couple other goodies that catch our eye! It's a must stop if you're a baked goods fanatic!

I’ve liked Hahn’s bakery and we’ve had mostly pleasant experiences. Unfortunately this week has been awful customer experience. My husband went Monday at 9 am which is posted as their opening time. He waited for almost half an hour and no one was there at all and the bakery remained closed. So, we thought oh maybe something happened. The next day, we came and wanted cinnamon rolls and were told they will have it Thursday. When asked about why they weren’t open on Monday, no answer. Again, we came back today Thursday and guess what no cinnamon rolls. We were told cinnamon rolls are only sold Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We have been to the bakery on Mondays before and have bought cinnamon rolls but I guess no cinnamon rolls this week at all. Every single time also before we came, we tried to call to make sure they are open or they have what we are looking for and no answer. What is the point of putting down a phone number if nobody answers it at all. They claimed they were too busy to answer phone calls. We have wasted going back and forth for three days this week and we will not be coming back to try again or ever.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best bakeries I've ever been to. The workers are excellent, and the goods are just incredible. These products taste as good as they look. Would recommend if you're looking for a treat to enjoy!

Excellent! Great pastries/donuts and breads/focaccias. Sweet and savory available. Free house donut on Fridays was delish. Highly recommend. May be a wait for certain items as they come out of the oven fresh. We waited quite a while for some focaccias. (An hour) stopped at another place for coffee and walked around while waiting. Kinda fun because each time we went back a different item was out so we kept getting more things. Delicious monkey buns. Lots of different types of tarts. Not just donuts.

Authentic German bakery and sweets in downtown Geneva. Exceptionally friendly staff help the small space feel warm and inviting. A long historied staple of Geneva that hopefully will remain there for a long time. Honestly, you can't beat this quality of baking in the west suburbs.

First of all, they shorted me my order and argued with me telling me I didn’t order certain things which I absolutely did since I read it right off my tiny mini list. Also, the French silk pie that they made for Thanksgiving was horrible. It was about a half inch thick, and they spread red jelly on the thin soggy crust and this, was a prefab crust. It was terrible. Why on earth would they spread jelly on that thin crust? It was terrible terrible. Terrible. Terrible and nothing like French silk. When I came to pick it up, the girl was smirky and argumentative and bratty. Who would not want to throw a pie at that. I’m so excited to hear they did go out of business. That’s the best news of all.

Stopped in Geneva this morning to grab a crumb cake and the store was empty. Gone. Wife is a Jersey girl and this was the only place that had crumb cake like the East Coast. Very sad to see the place empty. Hope they open up somewhere. Never had anything bad there.

Okay Google maps sends you to the building next door so it can be tricky to find. Just wanted to say that upfront. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The pretzel rolls are really soft and have a rich flavor that make them delicious on their own. Really enjoyed this bakery. Everything is fresh baked and it smells amazing when you walk into this quaint bakery.

Great bakery in quaint downtown Geneva. We love everything they sell. It is pricey, but the quality is unsurpassed.

We received a gift from our neighbor Mrs Soto for helping them!!! The Apple Cranberry German butter was absolutely delicious!!! 💯 and we live in Washington state ...yummy you are the best!!!

Wow! I had Hahn’s Bakery at the Wheaton French Market, an apple caramel crumble cake, not sure what it was actually called but it was delicious!!!!! The texture of the cake is my favorite, the cake balances the sweet topping so well, yummy, thanks!!

Stopped in with my daughter yesterday. I've never been here before but have had the pie (strawberry rhubarb) in the past. Everything is fresh baked on site. We purchased a small carrot cake and it was absolutely the best carrot cake I've ever tasted. I'm kicking myself now for not grabbing another along with some scones ( they looked good & I'm sure they are). I'll definitely stop back next time I'm in the area.

I swung by for some donuts this morning, knowing that Hahn’s had some of the best around. The goods were fresh, the service excellent, and the employees are kind. You can tell they love working there, and anyone who walks in will surely love being there. A not-so-hidden gem in the heart of Geneva.

Stopped in during the recent fest in Geneva. Pastries were stale. Owner was flat out rude and disrespectful to my family. Better off going to any of the other bakeries next door.

Scones were very tasty, unfortunately service was “meh” the staff made me feel like I was disturbing them since it was my first time and had questions (there was no clear signage for prices or options) so I just stopped asking and got the a scone lol but perhaps it was a bad day, would consider trying again.

An abundance of options, huge portions, insanely well priced for the quality of the products, the staff is super friendly too

Good bakery, but pricey. No price on each item.

My husband and I decided to try Hahn's as we bought bread at the farmer's market in Wheaton recently. The website photos were misleading. When we arrived today the bakery was small, fairly crowded and a small staff on hand. We purchased 2 wrapped loaves of bread. What was a little off putting were the flies landing on all the uncovered pastries on the counter. So it was disappointing.

My favorite euro style bakery around the tri cities, the crumble cake is amazing, the doughnuts are great. The bread is a plus. So many things to try.

Some of the items were ok like the cookie. The long John donuts however were stale so I was pretty disappointed. The donuts were on the same scale as a Dunkin’ donut, and I was expecting a little better. Hoping it was just an off day since most reviews are good.

The bakery is amazing. Great breads and choices of dessert. A great bakery to stop in for a loaf of your choice and take a dessert for later. Anytime we're in the area we stop for a sweet treat.

Favorite spot for pastries other than just donuts. Scones quality is top notch. Fruit tarts are perfect shareable size. Mini Focaccia rolls too! Will be picking up here to cater for work.

First time visiting the bakery after seeing them at Wheaton Farmer's Market. Beautiful location and excellent bread and pastries.

EDITED TO ADD: someone clearly read my review because magically all hours changed to them closing at 6 rather than 6:30. Yet no apology or response. Poor customer service once again. Will not be back. Either the hours on Google and all websites are wrong or your workers decide to close early. Website said they were open until 6:30. I showed up at 5:50 to pick up some items. I normally pick up between $40-$50 worth of items every time I stop by since our family loves everything so much. $40-$50 may not be a lot to some but it seems substantial to us. That said I showed up at 5:50. Everything was removed from the cases. 3-4 workers were standing behind the counter. I asked if they were open. They said “2 minutes left”. Which didn’t make sense. The website said 6:30, which would be 40 min. And if the hours changed and it was 6, I would have had 10 min. I asked if I could still get items. They made a face like I was bothering them. I said Nevermind and walked out. They didn’t say anything and now have lost a customer. The bakery is delicious. But the workers make it very clear they don’t care about anyone’s business. They closed early. Or the hours aren’t correct. Either way poor customer service.

The family and I like this bakery very much. Everyone there has always been very nice and helpful because their selection rotates. The carrot cake so far has been my favorite. Wish I could try everything at once. I guess I will just have to keep going back.

I decided to go for an afternoon treat and went with Hahn's Bakery. My husband and I decided to try the Boston Cream cupcake and the German Crumb cake. Wow!! The German Crumb cake is like a giant cookie on top of moist cake. It was FANTASTIC!! The Boston cream cup cake was HUGE! Very tasty too! They offer a good selection on pastries and bread. Prices are very reasonable. I feel the place could have used a cleaning and some updating otherwise I would have given them a 5 star

THIS IS THE BEST BAKERY EVER!!! Everything is baked fresh and made each morning. Very organized with the kindest customer service employees. I met a young man who was also named Alex and he did such a wonderful job! All workers should work like him. I had such a great experience at Hahn’s, and I can’t wait to go back!!!
