Very disappointed with Decathlon, Wandsworth. Yesterday, I went to the store at to show them that the stitches at the top of the shoe was coming undone, more on the right shoe. See attached photos. I bought the pair on 19th April 2023. My Decathlon account number/ membership number is 2093099395186. I informed them that I am not a runner, just do walking. I also informed them that I fractured my ankle (was wearing sandals at the time of the incident) and had not been able to go for walks (since the incident on 14th Aug) for nearly 7 weeks. I did not tell her this, but the shoe has not even been through a wash. That of course would have been obvious. I was told a return was not possible because it has had a lot of wear. Note that I had already told the shop assistant that I only use it for walking and that I had not used it for 6 weeks. I asked her if they expect the stitching to come off in this time (regardless) and whether they had any reports of a similar problem. She said no to both and then went on to say I was wearing the wrong size; this shoe was too small for me. I then informed her that the shoe was in fact fitted in store. She did not say anything to that. During my visit I saw 3 different ‘assistants’ but I didn’t ask for any of their names. From my till receipt I can see that I was served by Employee: CB Store: 1040: Tran: 1128322. All in all, I did expect a better service from Decathlon.

Surprisingly I first heard about Decathlon on a trip to Delhi as we always run to Sports Direct or JD here in UK. But it was great seeing one of these stores in Southside centre. They have good variety, prices and their own branded items. I stopped to buy tennis rackets and hiking gear. Did you know Decathlon was founded by Michel Leclercq in 1976, Decathlon started with a store in Lille, France. Its holding company was formerly known as Oxylane. The Decathlon logo is a reflection of brand's vitality, generosity and friendliness. It is a strong visual identity, which represent everything, that is important for the company and makes it stand out.

Birthplace of the original TINY BACKPACK. Exactly the perfect size for a book, a packed lunch, a few essentials, a little bit of shopping and a bottle of water. Seriously this decathlon is tiny by decathlon standards and it's still massive. Their own brand range is brilliant, I've gotten all my swimming gear and yoga gear from here and a lot of hiking kit too. They even have kayaking and horse riding stuff. Own brand yoga kit is absolutely brilliant, no need to spend a fortune at Sticky Nikki or PiPiPineapple. Not sure I'd spend mega bucks on sports shoes here, but great for all sorts of accessories. Also amazing for camping gear if you're rich enough to afford music festivals and wild enough to camp.

Thank you to the accommodating staff at Decathlon Wandsworth for letting us borrow Monty, Minerva and Jeff (not pictured) for a couple of weeks! And special thanks to Anastasia for sorting it out and helping me carry them! Great store with great staff 😊

What a soulless experience that was. It took me a good 5 minutes to find a member of staff ( possibly the ONLY one on ground floor ). Directed upstairs, got what I wanted and then self checkouts, NO CASH and not a bag in sight. Good job I didn't need one ! If my purchase hadn't been highly recommended I would have gone elsewhere. Dreadful.

Aravinth was absolutely brilliant. Found the parka coat and walking boots I needed in record time and he was super helpful, gave great advice and assistance

Filipe and Matthew were amazing 👏🏻, they let me use two zip ties in an emergency and even tightened up a loose bolt!

Ignacio gave me an excellent service. He not only went through the basics of what was wrong in many places, but explained me why and how to prevent them. Then he very clearly explained how to fix it and the respective cost breakdown. Finally, he fixed it very fast while giving great conversation and customer experience. Ignacio has been (by far) the best experience I have ever had in a bike shop in London. I will be coming here anytime I need a bike repair or even advice to buy a new one.

My husband and I came to the store to buy my first road bike in January. I wasn't sure on what to get for myself. Both Luca and Carlos were very helpful from begining to end. They made the experience really worthwhile. They helped with the decision making as well as setting up the bike. The service they provide as well for maintenance is very good. Each team member they have on site are knowledgeable and kind. Super happy and I will be back for more purchases 😊 Many thanks
