I'd like to thank and recommend Matthew and his team for the great work they put into catering for my dad's wake yesterday. The buffet was fantastic and the service we received was excellent. Not having to worry about arrangements was a big relief for me and my family and it's much appreciated. If you have a gathering to cater for you can't go wrong with Clayton's in Potton. We're so lucky to have this local butcher's! Their special sausages and sausage rolls have absolutely spoiled me and I can't stand to eat them from anywhere else now - creative flavours are absolutely inspired and change every week. As a busy family, we also love their handmade pies and ready meals. We get our bacon-wrapped, sausage-stuffed turkey crown each year to celebrate American Thanksgiving and it's always perfect. The staff is always friendly and helpful, happy to fulfill several odd requests I've had. 😊

We came to Potton from Blackoool to visit our daughter and brought some meat back with us. So far we have tried chicken, pork chops and chicken thighs. All delicious. Can't wait to try the rest!

Picked up the turkey this morning, plus a few "impulse" items including Dragon Eggs which we had for our tea. They are now my new favourite thing, absolutely amazing, just wish I'd picked up a whole load more! Great staff, friendly service, highly recommend.

I have had meat from here through seasons fruit and veg recently and was so impressed I decided to make the journey from Luton and visit the shop myself and it was well worth the trip. The choice of meat is incredible and the butcher so friendly and extremely helpful even cutting the joints to the sizes I required. The meat is placed in bags that can go straight in freezer. We are looking forward to trying our shopping over the next few weeks and would most definitely shop there again.

Exactly what you would expect from a 'family' butchers. Great food, friendly service and excellent value. If you have a decent sized freezer I'd recommend the 3 packs of sausages for a tenner. They can be stored away and defrosted in the fridge overnight. Perfect for the next day. Also the "steakburgers" are amazing! Be warned! anyone relocating to Potton should be prepared to incur extra wardrobe costs. My jeans and shirts are definitely feeling a little snug since I moved here! Also, the Bakers next door (Lucy Jane's) do the best Bacon Buttie I've ever tasted (and I'm from a colliery village in County Durham!). They use their own fresh rolls plus the Bacon from Claytons and they are absolutely sublime.
