Definitely the best coffee in the area in a small independent coffee shop just off Little London. Undoubtedly the best coffee in Chichester despite a flurry of other new spots competing. Not eaten here but they have a small selection of cakes, brownies etc. I noticed a takeaway lunch spot next door, maybe grab a lunch there and a coffee from Coffee Grounds... They have contactless (note: they should really swivel screen), have WiFi (code on top shelf), but could not see any power outlets for charging. A steady stream of office workers show they are building a reputation for take out coffee too. Friendly owners, but as with most UK coffee shops efficiency is a premium above conversation, still searching for that Aussie style friendly coffee shop. Not a criticism, just a social comment...

A nice little hidden treasure in Chichester. The coffee (espresso) was very nice, the staff friendly and they also sell a good variety of coffee beans and coffee gear (drippers and filter papers etc).

A wonderful place to have a coffee and a cake. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the cakes are just so srummy and the coffee, is so very nice. They even have bags of decaff coffee beans, they can grind them to what ever grind size you like. Number one grind in my opinion is the best, no need for coffee filters or machines, place a spoonful or so of coffee into a cup or mug, add hot water and milk if desired, the granules will settle to the bottom and there you have the perfect coffee. The decaff coffee is super delicious, it does not taste like decaff. I bought a bag for my friend, she grinds the beans herself and has told me that she at first missed proper coffee, but has now become so used to decaff. Sugarcane Decaf is the name. Oh, and the cinnamon bun... Oh my, its hard just to have the one. This wonderful little place is by what used to Dunnaways taxis.

They have very good coffee and decoration. I tried their flatwhite and it was really good taste of coffee. It is on the backside of the main street so you have search for it literally. It worths the try. It is really small thought and I’ve seen so many people grab their drink on the go. If I were a local, I would be a regular costumer.

Very friendly independent coffee shop. Great coffee and the best value in Chi. The small size of the cafe makes for an intimate atmosphere. Excellent.

This was an amazing place, coffee and cake selection were both outstanding, as was the taste of both. Lovely staff who were so accommodating. Sat outside on the bench, and enjoyed watching the world go by for an hour. All in Chicester should visit this lovely little place.

Super cute and trendy little coffee shop that focuses on excellent coffee! And it delivers. We dropped in for a Chai Latte and Dirty Chai. Super friendly service, super chilled environment, and gorgeous cuppa. Fresh water delivered to the table with our drinks, and friendly chat from locals and customers.

I've only discovered Common Grounds in the last couple of months ago and I'm so glad I did! I used to live in London and have struggled to find any local, independent coffee shops where the coffee is genuinely good, but Common Grounds is better than any of the London coffee shops I used to go to! The staff are clearly very passionate and knowledgeable, as well as really friendly and welcoming :).

Been coming here for years now, and the coffee is consistently excellent! (For context, I’m from Melbourne AU 😉) Such friendly staff too. There’s not a huge amount of sit-in space but just get a takeaway and wander around beautiful Chichester 😊

This is the BEST coffee shop in Chichester by a million. Me and my partner recently found this place and have been back nearly every day. If there’s a queue its worth the wait… the coffee is exceptional along with a huge selection of fresh cakes and pastries and the staff are simply wonderful . A must!

I adore this little gem of a coffee shop. The coffee is by far the best in Chichester, and they have three different varieties of non-dairy milk. Every time I've visited they've had vegan and gf sweet treats. The owner is so kind and it's a great place to sit for awhile. Also excellent wifi.
