While it wasn’t the best croissant I’ve tasted in the london borough, it most certainly held the best atmosphere and most forthcoming staff! Would 100% recommend if you’re looking for a little bakery in London!

Went just to grab a quick coffee but the beauty of the cakes and pastries hold me there for a good amount of time. I had to try one more thing, despite all looked appealing. I have tried their chocolate-coffee-nut layered cake which was fantastic 👌 and makes the store to pop in again soon. The coffee was in good standards. There are some inside and outside sitting arrangement. The environment is very cosy and classic. A perfect place for finding a out of the box head-space. Enjoy 😉

For the price, these were the worst madelaines I have bought. Supposedly lemon flavoured, they were dry as a bone, terrible sponge consistency and didn't resemble anything lemony. Very annoying to have bought a pack of five and all are inedible.

Arrived Saturday afternoon and they were running low on cake. The cake was good, the server, obviously new, described the cakes wrong so be wary. The chocolate bombe had too much gelatine in but was pleasant, the lemon slice was perfect and better balanced. It's a small space, my only concern and hence the drop in ratings is that the crockery wasn't really clean. The outside and handles of the mugs had marks of chocolate and stains showing that there wasn't a thorough clean. Thankfully no lipstick stains, otherwise I would have chucked it back.

Quality of baked good are amazing - we have recently found out about this bakery and have already ordered two birthday cakes with them. Staff are professional and polite, considering that they can become very busy and we found prices to be reasonable. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

My eyes were bigger than my stomach when I walked in and saw the baked goods on offer! What a warm welcome! Took me back to standing in line in the morning on visits to France. Currently demolishing a light, flaky croissant. Everyone has to come here!

As a French, I would never consider Jade anything French , except that it's called boulangerie. As locals for nearly 40 years, we spend a fortune in Jade, as my British wife didn't mind devouring her cakes, while I would have my espresso with a dirty spoons winking at me. But this was before my unpleasant encounter the other day, with Jade's rude and staff. A couple of days earlier I had been overcharged by £2.30 for 2 coffees. I approached the staff and as a regular, I expected to get my money back straight away. No, I could not, said the girls who had served us practically every days. She told me the manager had to deal with it. Okay, when could I see the manager? I don't know, said rudely the girl. Another rude staff joined her informing me ruddily that they did not have the manager's rota!!!!My wife got the manager's number and I texted a complaint to the manager's number. I texted a second message telling the manager that to give the £2.30 to the 2 rude staff. I told her how they were unprofessional rude and confrontational. More than 2 weeks later, the manger had not bothered to contact me. We are now going to Costa or Gail. My advice is to keep an eye on when you paying and also look at your dirty spoon winking at you, in jade Blackheath Village.

Great and beautiful food and atmosphere. But the older lady was so rude for us about our two bicycles. We’d propped them up against the outside wall and we had sat on the outside table in front of them, in the sun. Unprovoked, she called me “antisocial”, for putting them there. Will never go back.

Aside from the madeleins, all the other pastries we purchased were on the soggy or stale side. It turned out to be a bit of an expensive mistake trying out a wide selection of their goods. Between all the items, coming in at last place, was the lemon tart. We were convinced that it tasted off as funky wasn't in the description and the entire group came to the same conclusion. So, watch out 🍋.

Came on a Thursday afternoon 5ish, and have to say I really enjoyed the coffee and cake. The staff explained exactly what was in the cakes really like the atmosphere too, log pattern type bench. Perfect, and this was on a rainy day!

We went on a sunny Sunday when I expect this location to be busy and when we got our pastries was a big disappointment that it was clear from the day before( I hope not older than that) 😳 looked amazing but was dry and flavourless. the coffee was really good, and was nice sitting outside but I don't think we will be back.

We are new to the area and we’re excited to try this boulangerie. I know it’s London but £10 for two small products is expensive. Prices were not displayed and the person was not very welcoming.

I usually like Jade in Blackheath but today was particularly bad. The croissant was flat and soggish, staff members were rude and unhelpful, as if annoyed to have to serve you, and apparently annoyed with each other. The coffee was ok, but I will be avoiding Jade on a Sunday in the future sadly.

Totally shocked with the overpriced! I ordered Chocolate croissants and a regular hot chocolate for take away prices was £7.20! Gail is much better.

Excellent bakery with very good bread and cakes. I am a regular customer for those things, and usually pick up a coffee too, although that is unfortunately quite average.

My wife and I wanted to have French pastries for our wedding last month so we contacted Boulangerie Jade, the team was really friendly and helpful, especially Carolina and Eunice! We had a tasting a few weeks after at the boulangerie, and although it was really busy, the staff had a small table reserved for us. For the wedding day, we had ordered a croquembouche for 120 guests and a whole selection of 100s of mini pastries and everything was so delicious!! Our guests could not get enough of the cake and fantastic dessert bar prepared by the Boulangerie Jade team. The passionfruit tarts and the pistachio éclairs in particular were so good!! The delivery timing was perfect too! Thank you so much to the Boulangerie Jade team for your help and for making our wedding such an unforgettable day!! We will definitely come back and we recommend Boulangerie Jade very highly!!

Generally nice food, however we've had a few pastries that have been stale several times. Drinks are very overpriced. I ordered a latte last time I visited and recieved a milky one shot drink. When questioning why it wasn't two shots of espresso, the rude barista told me one shot was standard everywhere. I know for a fact it isn't, I drink a lot of coffee! she stood there for several minutes arguing this point, then wanted to charge me for the extra shot. I asked for a refund and left. Poor customer service!not going back.

Rude staff. Today I’ve entered Jade to ask for a drink and the baristas were acting immature doing faces. When I have asked if there was a problem the lady who was making coffee didn’t do eye contact and didn’t even apologize. A training on manners and costumer service would be very much needed. I would like to highlight this barista is all the time rude, it always making us feel not welcome. Hot chocolate not worth it too.

Bought the triple chocolate cake for a birthday - so delicious! Not too sweet, finest ingredients, delicate finish. Would buy again any time.

Stopped in for a quick coffee and snack on our stroll through Blackheath. I enjoyed an Americano and ate an amazing Ricotta Tartlette. It was baked deliciousness. Flaky pastry, Ricotta cheese, eggplant and roasted tomatoes. Very tasty. Everything in the shop looked amazing and I wanted to try it all. Great experience.

Me and my family frequently order cakes from Jade in Blackheath and love the taste, unfortunately the same can’t be said for the service. The staff are rude and very unpleasant and the hygiene standards are questionable! It’s good to rethink the way you communicate to your clients, that is one frequent client lost now, and won’t be the last! Rethink your staff, a smile and a nice word won’t hurt!

Most likely the best patisserie in London and very reasonably priced. Custom cakes are also good value for large gatherings as they can feed a small army while keeping the bespoke patisserie quality.

I ordered a cake, they forgot to give my an order number me for their incompetence. Even worse, they said I was lying about my order, that it was impossible I had order that cake the previous day (to in the end, find my cake). I'm not impressed. Teach your staff some manners!

Absolutely fantastic cakes and sweet bites. Fresh, delicious bread. Always pop in when we're in Blackheath.

Lovely local business. Best patisserie, hands down. I have been coming to Jade for years, and it’s one of Blackheath’s jewels. Their food is authentic, consistently high quality, with “clean” ingredients. We buy so many different things from them but my current faves are their campaillou loaf (which can be sliced), their pecan tart and their breakfast danishes. Their croissants are also consistently great. They have savoury food as well as sweet, and do have something for vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians. I have always found the staff to be very kind. It is a small establishment however and not often possible to get a seat so we usually get take away. Nearly forgot: their pre-ordered birthday cakes are also divine.
