👍👍 Casual Japanese cafe for lunch! Food was fresh and really delicious. We ordered the Okonomiyaki and Teriyaki salmon with rice. The Okonomiyaki was scrumptious, crispy, hearty and not oily at all. I was surprised to find soba noodles in it. This is a very filling meal. We also ordered the Momo tea w... People often mention Japanese, good, delicious,

Lovely space for lunch, with an assortment of interesting Japanese dishes. The soba was a nice, refreshing choice for a summer day, accompanied by lightly fried and crisp tempura. The katsu sandwich was also quite good, crispy and crunchy between the fluffy white bread. The shop also had some pretty Japanese ceramics on sale.

I was surprised to find soba noodles in it. This is a very filling meal. We also ordered the Momo tea which was a fragrant peach tea 🍑. Loved it! The free Babychinos for the kids were a delightful touch! Overall: Food: 9/10 Service: 7/10 Highly recommend!

Very tasty! Simple flavours done well. We tried six different dishes and each dish was yummy in its own way. Coffee was also a standout. Also sells an assortment of Japanese bowls and chopsticks etc

It was just ok. These guys do well with the basics, but not so much with the more complicated or creative dishes. The grilled salmon was great, and even the chicken sandwich was good... awesome lotus chips. The salmon bowl and the fried egg brekkie oko not so good. Atmosphere is ok and coming here for dinner has a lunchtime cafe vibe. Not quite a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but more like a 3.5 star with some good items and others just so-so.

I was craving for ramen from a tiring 7-hour trip from Melbourne. I was a little disappointed that their ramen is served from 5PM onwards just because we were going back to Melby on the day and that meant I couldn't satisfy my cravings lol.. Anyway, when we entered, the place was packed with customers. We ordered chicken curry, Carbonara, hot chocolate and matcha latte! The food and drink were 'OISHI' and I was very satisfied😀 The Japanese lady/owner was also very accommodating~ Thank you for the nice experience.. Hoping to come back for the ramen on our next Canberra trip😁

My husband didn't enjoy his agedashi Tofu, they didn't use silken Tofu. But my Japanese curry with tempura prawns was surprise. The curry was so nice. I will come back again to try something else, the menu look interesting.

Tokyo Canteen may have a small menu but each dish is well done, full of flavour and of decent portion. For starters we got the takoyaki and the karaage which were crisp and warm. My favourite dish which I always try to get is the Unagi Don - the eel is silky and soft with plenty of smoked flavour. The rice and pickles are nice too. We also had the Char Sui which was a massive portion and it was seasoned well. The garlic infused ramen broth was delicious too. We've been before previously and some of our other favourites include the crispy Chicken Katsu with delicious curry. Tokyo Canteen is a great place to eat in Canberra with a beautifully decorated setting. It's always a treat to come here!

Really tasty food here. Inside is small but there is seating outside and more communal tables in the courtyard. The service can be erratic when it gets busy, otherwise it's good. Happy to recommend this place.

The Teriyaki Salmon was more like soy sauce salmon, with little to no sweetness or thickness. Even then it was very dry overall, & there was nothing extra for the plain rice. No dipping sauce was served with the tempura. Half of the tempura were soggy. Surprised & disappointed, as these are super basic Japanese dishes.

Tokyo Kitchen is a fast favourite. The food options are so delicious, and seasonal menu selections are always really good (I can't wait for Winter again to get the amazing Ramen) Seating inside is limited, but you never wait long for a seat, and there is an entire shared outside area to use in good weather. Highly recommend for a slice of Japan in Kingston.

Great Japanese cafe in Kingston! Their food is authentic and reasonably priced for terrific portions. Paid $11.5 for this chicken sando. Their Katsu Curry is also very good. 100% recommend popping in!

Service was relatively quick. Food was of good portion and delicious. I would definitely come back. Matcha latte is quite expensive but well worth it in my opinion. Best matcha latte I have had in Canberra.

Cute little Japanese eatery in old Kingdom. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great, worth checking out.
