First time here for an anniversary dinner. We were under the mistaken assumption that “restaurant and bar” meant we could arrive a little early and have a cocktail at the bar while we waited for our table. Apparently you can only order from the bar while seated for dinner. Very misleading. However our table was ready on time and the staff were very efficient in taking our order and serving our meals quickly. We each chose a 2 course meal for $65 and they were beautifully presented and full of flavour. I love the decore but not so much the layout. We were seated by the window with an ocean view but there were group tables on the side of us making it impossible to enjoy a romantic dinner when the noise level was so high. I would’ve preferred to have seen the restaurant with tables of 2 or 4 in one half or even in the lower level and the group tables on the other. Overall a delectable experience for the taste buds but if I’m paying $65 for 2 courses i expect more food on those big empty plates. Portion sizes are too small for my liking.

Tonight, my partner and I had dinner at this wonderful restaurant. We were blown away by the service, mannerisms, vibe, set up and of course food. We truly enjoyed our time and will definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend for couples, families etc. Great location and beautiful scenery also. Thank you very much for the experience.

My wife and I visited for dinner in April for my birthday and it was a wonderful night. We thought about getting the three course menu, but the waiter suggested we could try the two courses first and add dessert later. This was appreciated as the 2 courses with sides was enough for us. For entrees, we had the Hiramasa Kingfish Crudo and BBQ Pork Neck. Both dishes were delicious. For mains, we had the Beef Eye Fillet and Roasted Barramundi. The eye fillet was cooked to perfection medium rare. A joy to eat. The barramundi was amazing. Our waiter recommended The Poddy Lamb Cabernet Sauvignon from the wine list which was a great choice. The cocktails were great. I had the Negroni and my wife a Cosmopolitan.

We were blown away by the quality of the food and excellent service provided by staff. Very flexible menu, some of us had 2 courses while others had 3 courses, which meant that we could share desserts. The eye fillet was one of the best steaks I've ever had, comparable to Mayura Station in Millicent, SA. Octopus was also a stand-out, and I would happily go there again just for this dish. A very enjoyable night out. Thank you team!

Looking for something a little fancy! Silica has got it covered.. the tasting menu $99 each is pricey but well worth it! You will enjoy your meal surrounded with a calm yet energetic atmosphere with views of Kiamas spectacular beach. And the staff are bubbly and friendly.

I honestly didn’t have high expectations going in to this restaurant and it was the only one we could find that would fit us in (Easter weekend). Wow I am glad that they did, the food was superb, the flavours and dishes were paired perfectly. 6 courses and I was definitely full by the end. My favourite was the barramundi, which is my least favourite fish but it was amazing also the quality of the food was so fresh. The service was great as well, unfortunately I wasn’t drinking this particular weekend but I heard people comment on the drinks they were paired with the food. Definitely a must go too if your in the Kiama or south coast region.

Great fine dining restaurant in Kiama. Highly recommended. And the location is a bonus. Right on Kiama's Surf Beach. Had a wonderful evening.

Absolutely sensational - the roasted barramundi last light was without doubt of a similar standard to anything served at Rick Stein’s restaurant south of here. With slices of marinated broccoli cooked perfectly to retain their crunch and explode with flavour on your tongue. And the service was brilliant too… highly recommended…

Very disappointing. Had potential, I was looking forward to it. I ordered tempura prawns, crumbed calamari, fish of the day with a radicchio, bean & goat’s cheese salad. I stood shivering in the rain, anticipating some quality local seafood to refuel & warm up after a swim. The waitress informed me she’d dropped the salad I ordered but offered a roast veg salad instead. Finally received my order, only it wasn’t … just the prawns & calamari (very nice thankfully), no fish. Apparently I said I didn’t want it. I did. This could have been avoided by her confirming my order before payment. The salad was very average & riddled with rotten slimy greens.

Beautiful! Pics below show our sensational mains. The entrees we had , octopus and another was duck were really nice but very small portions. We shared them and esp the octopus there wasn't enough to get an overall taste of the flavours. Desserts especially the panna cotta was great. The service was almost too attentive by our 3 waitpersons (even though they were all lovely) It just interrupted our dinner a little too often. It was a great meal, great staff and we'll be back for sure. Make sure you order a Negroni cocktail ..a nice bitter addition to a great night.

What a wonderful experience! The Team at Silica- right from the take away( yummy ice cream) and in the restaurant- the Customer Service is impeccable! I really enjoyed my lunch. Locally sourced fish and chips, with a delicious fresh salad- cooked perfectly! The salad was divine! So many lovely flavours! I particularly loved the little touches. The tartare had its own tiny ramekin. The flaked salt was served on a metal serving spoon. All extras that are very thoughtful and intentional! Thankyou! I will definitely be back!

I suggested to my husband to book a table for my birthday lunch. He requested for an ocean view. We were greeted by very friendly staff and was showed to our table. It was THE table to have. The meals were perfectly cooked and presented. Hubby ordered the chargrilled octopus for his entree. It was succulent, tender and paired with a very tasty sauce. For our mains, I had the Pan roasted barramundi fillet was nice and juicy, potato rosti and light kale salad was an ideal pairing. Hubby had the beef eye fillet was seared, cooked medium, tender and melt in your mouth. My husband insisted we must have dessert. I chose their Youghurt Panna cotta. This is one of the best panna cotta I've had, made flawlessly and a very subtle coconut flavour. He secretly arranged to have a birthday candle in the dessert. Wow, and did they deliver!

Lovely food but very loud restaurant! It was my partner’s birthday and on arrival, we both get questioned whose birthday is it, it was a big giveaway! Anyhow, the food here is fantastic, I had the best steak of my lifetime! The Burramundi fish is excellent, the rest of the food was great too! Downside, we sat upstairs and there were lots of big group and although we have the window seats for two and we can bearly hear each other. We quickly had our dinner and seek the peace and quiet somewhere else straight after!

Went to dinner last night with a group of people - actually Silica was the venue for the AGM for our group of foodies. Lovely position right on Surf Beach, Kiama. The food at Silica is always good and as much as possible all ingredients are locally sourced as per the worldwide Slow Food movement principles.

We had our 2023 Christmas Party here and it was brilliant! Kate was lovely to deal with, happy to accommodate various dietary requirements and shifting numbers. Food was delicious, view is outstanding and the bar and waitstaff were great. 10/10

Really lovely dinner. Extremely helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Good selection of wines, and excellent pairing advice from staff. Sourdough with goats cheese was particularly excellent ( if you ever find yourself wondering if you should order bread, because "surely you don't *need* bread", let me save you the decision and advise you now that you probably do need this bread).

We have been to Silica a number of times and always found it exceptional. This time, we took our family, and again, it was totally amazing. We were greeted by name, and Luke, the owner and head chef, could not have been more accommodating. The food was unbelievable, as were the drinks. The service was again exemplary. Every member of our party agreed that it was one of the best restaurants that they had been to for quite a while. It was truly a fine dining experience. We will continue to go back there.

Pleasant restaurant in Kiama. It was a Thursday night and we had the pasta meal special, pasta, salad and dessert. Pasta was a lamb ragu on pappardelle for $35. Good value and OK quality.

We had lunch today at Silica restaurant in Kiama. The first time I've been there. The views are fabulous from upstairs. We all had different mains - all delicious. I can highly recommend the duck leg - it was delicious. Dessert - a chocolate dessert was "to die for" - rich, creamy and delicious. Our waiter was lovely - he was there when we needed him but unobtrusive. This is definitely a restaurant to return to.

This restaurant took us by the most pleasant surprise. The food was absolutely incredible and every dish shined past our expectations. Highly recommend the tasting menu with its beautiful selection. Service was kind and accommodating throughout and would 100% return for the cuisine and ambience.

Wow - an excellent meal. Had the tasting menu, and every dish was excellent, with the barramundi the stand out. The staff were attentive and the view and ambiance were great. It was a Thursday night and the place was pretty full, a good sign. Would recommend.

Very nice food. Best steak in a very long time 😋 but maybe get some nicer cutlery, looks a bit pub like

Hands down the best life choice I've made when it comes to eating delicious food in a long time. I cannot describe how perfect the tasting menu was; how scrumptious the wine list; and how friendly and attentive the staff. Do yourself a favour and take yourself along to find out for yourself. Thanks Silica team, you gave me and my fiancee a wonderful night out and wonderful memories! We'll be back again!

Nice view upstairs and nice seafood. The fried seafood mains aren't the best but the starters were lovely ❤️
