We had a great experience there. They offer many options and most of them taste so good. Ordered tacos, coconut shrimps, fish, tuna and more. Can’t complain! We finished everything and they were all delicious. It’s a bit pricey but I think it worth the try, nice location and good food.

We were craving for some fried fish and found this place. It didn’t disappoint! Food was great, we had their signature fish and octopus and it was great! Even the dipping sauces for the nachos was something else! Shout out to Pedro, he was excellent and treated us really well. When we go back to Cancun, we’ll definitely be back here

We went on a deep sea fishing trip and had two of the fish fileted and took them to this restaurant. They cooked both fish as requested and added a vegetable medley and rice to the fish. For appetizers they provided a basket of tortilla chips and five different types of sauce from mild to extra spicy. Wonderful experience.

Hidden gem! Great food, amazing vibes and views. There is an area where you can dip your toes in sand while sitting at the table eating your dinner. Entrance to the restaurant is a bit hidden between Domino's and a small fish stall but don't get discouraged, once you pass through the corridor you'll see how big and lovely the place is. Everything we ordered was good and the price was reasonable for this area. Service was great as well. We even managed to see a crocodile gliding through the water of the lagoon. Highly recommended!

Me encanta este restaurante! I loved it. For the last meal in Cancun, we decided to have seafood again and we loved it. The vibe, polite and respectful staffs, and amazingly good tasted foods. The watermelon margarita is a MUST-TRY! The fried goapper fish marinated with butter garlic and the fried Calamari were delicious. I also loved the tamarind salsa! It has a new sweet-spicy taste.

Been here for the first time about 4 years ago. Came for the soft shell crab tacos. Today, 4 years later I simply had to come back and try few more dishes. Omg, the soft shell crab taco was even better than I remembered. Everything made to perfection. I loved it. Tried many dishes. The tuna tostada was amazing. The governor taco was amazing. I’d only avoid desserts. But the food was really tasteful.

My husbands favorite restaurant in the world! Looks like a taco shack on the street, find the stairs down to the bay and you will have a delicious meal on the sand. The Fish Fritanga is delicious and extremely spicy. The waiters will warn you and take it to heart - if you can’t handle ghost pepper level heat then try the fresh caught fried fish instead. Nicest servers in all of Cancun. Wrap up your meal with the corn ice cream!

Great place for a special evening. The restaurant is right on the water. Food and service were great. Special the whole octopus

I really enjoyed the food here. It was delicious, served right through a window hole. They had interesting options like different seafood tacos. I ate two carne asada tacos and two chorizo with potato tacos. Both were delicious and I enjoyed sitting and talking with my friends while eating them. I took a star off atmosphere simply because it's in the hotel zone right next to the hotel area so it's kind of a corny atmosphere which is right next to you. If I'm ever in the hotel area again, I would eat here since it's just a little walk away from most hotels.

Beautiful spot facing west over the lagoon. Laid-back, beachy atmosphere. Live music started later in the evening. Food was outstanding - Fresh, interesting, and well-proportioned. We got complimentary glasses of their shrimp soup (delicious!). Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back. * Note: We did not see an elevator, so we think you have to be able to use stairs to access the dining area facing the lagoon. Floor in the dining area is also uneven (may be a hazard for some).

Fairly good food, great local atmosphere. We truly love the soft shell crabs tacos. Grilled fish and octopus tastes a bit plain to our appetite. However great tortillas. Price is fairly high.

I can’t say that I enjoyed the food very much. We came here after reading reviews while we waited for the rest of our friends to arrive from Mexico City. We started off with their famous pescadillas which were empanadas filled with fish. These were the most tasty things of all the dishes we ordered. My friend ordered the caldo de camarones. She was disappointed, completely bland. She literally picked the shrimp out, squeezed some lime on them and ate it. I ordered the filet of fish with mojo de ajo. If the fish didn’t have this sauce, it would again just be bland. My hubby ordered the pulpo ele, a large size of pulpo, but again just tasteless. Finally my hubby also ordered the coctel de camarones, I can’t say this enough, it just lacked taste. The reasons they get 3 stars is because of the location. It was a nice beach setting, has a little dock, you could see the water, nice breeze. Also the servers were very nice.

Really nice place with great food. We ordered the guacamole 🥑 as starter which go good with the nacho’s they bring you as “small” snack. And we went for the Tuna tostadas & tempura battered fish 🐠 tacos 🌮. Both delicious. Overall very nice setting outdoor, friendly staff and great food, highly recommend.

This place is fantastic for a nice dinner out in Hotel Zona. They were highly rated by Guy Fieri, so there will likely be a wait. There are two parts to this place, the upstairs is a little order counter shack with tables with mainly locals dining and the downstairs past the bathrooms is a large covered cabana area that is more formal where you will find only tourists. The portions are huge and filling! Would highly recommend going with as many people as possible for shares. I saw many tables order the coconut shrimp and got the same, it did not disappoint and was the best comfort food. Also got the clam chowder but would recommend other more traditional Mexican items over this. The mescal cocktails were great and their salsa samplers in the beginning is divine! Will definitely try their seafood entrees next time! Also a popular place for birthdays, there were several around me.

Can't imagine service, food and drinks getting any better!! The food was phenomenal!!! We were a family of 8 and ordered just about everything on the menu! Shrimp cocktail and the coconut shrimp were sooo good! I prefer those everywhere and these are the best! Oysters were fresh, the fried fish was amazing. I can go all day!

If you truly want a taste of the local flavors, check this place out. Our table was on the sand, on the water. Service was outstanding, and the food was top shelf all the way! I will come back here again for sure.

El Fish Fritanga is a gem in Cancun. At first glance, it presents itself as a humble street-level taco stand, paying homage to its roots. But the real surprise lies just a flight of stairs away, leading to a stunning sit-down restaurant by the water. The ambiance is a delightful, perfect for any occasion. Their orange shrimp dish is a standout, easily one of the best culinary experiences I've had in Mexico. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore authentic flavors with a unique twist! Enjoy tacos, tostadas, and other delights upstairs during the day, and descend for a delightful dinner experience in the evening.

It was ok, I had the octopus and a shrimp cocktail. My husband had a whole fried fish. We ordered two other things but ended up returning them. They were very nice and removed it from our check.

Delicious food and great views over the lagoon made for a lovely afternoon. We had a small issue with our order and the staff made it right immediately, and even comped us a dessert. Very friendly staff. Would absolutely go back here!

Cool ambiance of the “beach” vibes here but since it’s outdoors it can be really hot during the day—also, there’s sand everywhere so you have to be cautious of your footwear. Food was relatively good—top favorites were: Soft Shell Crab Taco (it’s on the salty side) and Salmon in dill cream and rosemary! The Fried Fish itself was crispy and full of meat, but it lacked flavor and had no accompanying dipping sauce. The Ceviche (mixed, shrimp & octopus) and “The Famous Governor” shrimp taco (full of onions) were both just okay. I was not a fan of the Raw Oysters with its dipping sauce—mainly did not like the sauce, and oysters are meant to be chilled, but it was so hot out, the oysters tasted too warm for my liking. The frozen Pina Colada was good—but it melted so quick due to the heat. Food took a while to come out and all the dishes were brought out very staggered and not all together at the same time. But our server was pretty cool! For lunch, it was extremely hot—I feel there’s not enough fans or a breeze so we were all so hot.

Food was so good, we came back the next night! Everything was A-100! Being from Florida, you always have fresh seafood, But the food here was like it was just caught! It was that good. Just the right amount of spices! Kudos to the Chefs! Great portions, Great service! Great music! Also right on the water. A hidden gem , we didn't know about in our previous trips here. Thanks!

Checks off all the boxes for a decent place to eat. It has a sports bar sort of vibe but then also a restaurant on the dock feel. You can order a lobster tail and watch football at the same time. Both American football and actual football (intentional trigger) Food is decent and the staff was exceptional. The calamari was a bit too oily to be fair. (Prices I reported are in MXN)

It was then Super bowl. It was very exciting. The food was very good . Don't eat upstairs at the fast food it's terrible. Downstairs is completely the opposite. I had the tuna sashimi it was delicious. The shrimp ceviche was big and excellent. They serve double drinks so you get your money's worth. The staff very friendly and very efficient. I had a great time and my team won.

Fried calamari was really good and so were the tacos. Also enjoyed my passion fruit margarita. Definitely a good spot if your looking for good food at a decent price.

Staff is incredibly good at working with dietary restrictions: gluten-free, lactose free, food allergies. They suggested alternatives and even made onion free Pico de Gallo. Great location, on the sand on the lagoon. Be aware, from the street it looks like a bar next to the road. The restaurant is through the bat and down. Great food and a great experience

El Fish Fritanga was recommended by our fishing tour group to cook our catch and it did not disappoint! We had our triggerfish cooked 3 ways: ceviche, grilled, and breaded. They were all delicious, along with the sides and salsa. We also saved room for dessert which was also amazing. This may be the best restaurant on our trip this week.

So we decided to check this place out, and it did not disappoint. Tucked away little place that has a great little atmosphere with little bungalows on a little sandy beach. We ordered a selection of food items from the menu... Let me tell you that we may have over ordered. The portion sizes were very generous, and everything was very tasty. The octopus tostadas were piled high, and the meat was very tender. We ordered the shrimp and fish tacos, and they were stuffed as well. Give this place a try if you want anything from some small plates and great conversation to a whole fish that they offer on the menu as well.

This place was lovely and very inexpensive! The food was delicious! The vibe was amazing and the service was great! We came here for dinner after a beach day and it was the perfect chill night. Seats by the water. Definitely a cute location! Definitely would recommend for drinks and apps - I think at sunset cause it’s just beautiful!

😠 This is the first time here and I ordered an omelette with veggies and cheese. When I seen it first I was kind of irritated how they just put the veggies in the omelette but I must admit it was very good. As you know already I like it simple, fresh, and good. The dish came with chips and an awesome...
